Does ANYONE know, whether this vulnerability (DDoSing TOR to get IP of BTC users - https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-tor-anonymity-can-busted-2500-month/) apply to DRK as well? If so, will the InstantX sort this issue (as a side effect)? This is an important one - Darkmarkets would have little motivation for change if DRK does not provide them with anonymity. Please focus at the question and not general rants about TOR being inherently insecure, thx  BTC people are using TOR to go through onto trading, wallets and all that , but as your entry point at TOR (supposedly) is compromised your IP will be known anyway ! so no hiding for BTC people DRK does not need TOR as we are using darksend ! and done ...>> |

You couldn't possibly know how that word has plagued me on late nights. It's like saying the word "Jeep" over and over. Jeep. Jeep. Jeep. Jeep. Jeep.  you have a MAC version too ?
I will start off with only windows. It is written in python, which is ridiculously easy to transcribe into other OSes, so if everything goes well, I will quickly follow with Linux, then Mac. Then I will add some needed setting configs, like toggling pop up *notifcations, personalizing the message sent to text/email, and adding alerts for balances getting LOWER. It will be open source, so hopefully some respected members of the community with knowledge of python will be able to confirm that it isn't doing anything it shouldn't. PS: Damn nice clip mangled. I was thinking exactly what Kai posted. A simple and "stupid", extremely sober and professional animated short video, to serves as basis for the gist of Darkcoin in general. Then eventually sub-sequent videos for the finer details, tutorials, in-depth explanations, etc...
This is NOT Dogecoin. Humour is dangerous! Add that to "dark markets" and you'll get slammed with "junkie coin" by the media, just 'cos you know how they're like... Darkcoin can very well become one of the most interesting, important and influential financial tools of our times. Like all things powerful, for the good and the bad. It is crucial that the official video contains all the answers to core questioning upon it's viewing. Copywriting the script (pun not intended) for such a video far outweighs who the hell animates it. Having said that, image is everything, so a killer script + killer video = mass awareness.
It is imperative the Darkcoin's official core image directives represent its phisolophy and it's origins and objectives. A very serious protocol to empower the individual. The individuals of the world need a simple and cross-cultured presentation of what Darkcoin is and what is proposes.

i think we are all overthinking this !! Sure it is not the best show, the guy is a bit crazy, ..... BUT it is still a good PR opportunity ! It will NOT be Max Keiser or The Wall Street Journal, there is no doubt ! But lets make the best of this as it will ONLY result in good PR and we for sure spread the DRK word to new people !!!! So lets stop the bitching and moaning and lets do this ! my opinion: we should use this opportunity to make a professional animated video ! For the Show, but even more important for us and DRK ! We can use that after all over and will get that "out" of the show ! How hard can that be ?! (well i can not do it obviously) lets get some bounty behind this and get that sorted ! and while we do that, lets make the best out of it and do a video we can use for a Million other things, then this show is 100% so worth it ! |
