2761  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Register on Bitcasino 🚀 100 NFTs up for grabs 🤩 on: May 31, 2022, 06:24:09 AM
How about having a Raffle for for say 10 NFT's for players that are not new? Yes, I understand the marketing strategy behind this, but I think the existing customers should also share in something like this.  Roll Eyes

A problem with some casino's (not Bitcasino.io) is the neglect of their older customers. They are so focused on getting "new" blood, that they tend to forget about the regulars that are loyal to their site. (retain the existing customers and also market for some new customers)  Wink
2762  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: May 31, 2022, 06:12:22 AM
You forget a few things......

Russia made most of their money from Oil and Gas sales....and a lot of countries are now moving away from being dependent on Russia for Oil and Gas. (So they are losing money now)

They are spending lots of money to replace weapons like rockets & Tanks that were lost in the Ukraine war. (Expenses) and the loss in income due to the sanctions are crippling some of their companies. (A huge blow for their economy and tax revenue)

Look at countries like Zimbabwe... that was also sanctioned by the West during Robert Mugabe's rule.  Wink
2763  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we embrace a cashless policy?? on: May 31, 2022, 06:00:05 AM
A cashless policy is an economy that runs operates on zero cash. Not as if there will be no cash in circulation, but it will be done digitally and can be fully traceable.
Now, with countries experiencing inflation, the best way to curb this inflation is by using this method of going cashless as there will be no much paper money in existence.
But then, when these government bodies introduce these policies, they carefully scrap out the demerits of these proposals if I may call it that, because why worry about these "little disadvantages" when there is a world of good adopting such a policy could do for a country.
I took out time to do a little research on this cashless economy plan, and found that though there are positives, there are also  some red flags that are worth pointing out.

Pros:
1. Reduces crime rates as there is no tangible money to steal.
2. Decrease in money laundering
3. Less time and costs associated with handling, storing and depositing paper money.
4. Easier currency exchange.

Cons:
1. Banks have full control of every single penny you own .
2. Every transaction you make is recorded.
3. Access to your own money can be blocked at the click of a button.
4. The government will decide what you can and cannot purchase
5. If your transaction are deemed in anyway questionable by those who create the questions, your money will be frozen "for your own good".
6. Potential data breach may expose personal information
7. Temptation to overexpand may increase.

If the world must go cashless, Bitcoin should be the better option, but as the government will always want to be in charge of your funds, CBDC is always projected by the government. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.managementstudyguide.com/cashless-economy-pros-and-cons.htm&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjNtYToxIT4AhXMyIUKHdrhC7MQFXoECAUQBg&usg=AOvVaw2132ZR98zH061TKrcKtzvu

Comments on Pros

1. The fact that there are no physical cash anymore, will not decrease theft. A criminal will just evolve and steal money digitally.
2. Money laundering are mostly done by large syndicates that has people inside the Banking system...  Roll Eyes
3. Yes..... and also less expenses for the government to create the money from Cotton/Silk/Metal like Copper etc.
4. Well, a lot of digital payments are perceived to be instant on the "user" side.

Comments on Cons

1. Banks already have full control over people's wealth. (It's all on their internal database)
2. See above
3. Banks close people's accounts on a push of a button now
4. Do they decide now? No, you can still access your money via the ATM and buy what you want.
5. People use third party wallets & exchanges.. those centralized entities does the same as Banks.
6. Not if you use Mixer services
7. Over spend? Well, I can fire up my Bitcoin wallet now..and go on a spending spree.... how is that different?
2764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Realist World of Crypto Space on: May 31, 2022, 05:44:03 AM
So, you will expect a paid Crypto shill to be bullish on anything related to Bitcoin... right? Why people still bother following people like Ben Armstrong and John McAfee (RIP) is really beyond me, because they will support everything if the money is right.  Roll Eyes

People should use common sense and do some research on what events will increase the price and how long events influence the price...not simply listen to so-called social media experts that are thumb sucking numbers for the future.  Roll Eyes
2765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to struggle hard when you in choise of Payment Gate for Gambling project on: May 30, 2022, 11:36:09 AM
In all honesty, I thought payment gateways were supposed to make withdrawals and money transfers easier, but it is more complex and with a lot more restrictions. I think these payment gateways were only created to make a "middle-man" profit and to serve as a regulated entity to track money transfers.  Roll Eyes

I think the less complicated strategy will be to use Crypto for direct payments to a person's wallet and then have them dealing with the taxes and the whatnot that are applicable to their country. (They are responsible for their own taxes) Roll Eyes
2766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Nearly Bailed Me Out on: May 30, 2022, 06:03:31 AM
I had a bit different scenario than yours.. but it is linked to Bitcoin (BTC) in a way. So, I regularly sweep Paper wallets with Bitcoin in cold storage to my hot wallet and I have done many of those in the past. One of the golden rules are not to destroy those wallets, so I remembered that and I kept those Paper wallets.  Wink

I was looking for some disposable cash to invest in a Alt coin that I suspected would go up very fast, so I remembered that those Paper wallets still contained some "Fork" coins and I converted them to cash and bought a lot of those coins. (I then sold that for a 80% profit and bought Bitcoin again.)  Grin
2767  Economy / Economics / Re: Enticing customers to make payment with crypto. on: May 30, 2022, 05:44:52 AM
OP, remember..... You will only offer the discounts as a introduction to Bitcoin strategy, so after a while... you will not offer the discount anymore. I will also look for the most popular item in the shop and offer the discount on that item.

People shop around for the cheapest price on the item that are the most popular, so when they see that item in your shop at a discount... they will convert to Bitcoin, just to buy that item. So you are only taking a loss on the one item.... and you make it up on the other items. (Example : Gaming Consoles or one of the latest games)  Wink
2768  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 29, 2022, 06:23:12 PM
It happens multiple times a week.
Pay Drake millions to sponsor but cant even keep the site up for us normal players.
Seriously losing players because this is seriously messed up and not reliable.
Truely a joke.

You know.... I will rather pay Drake to come in and then dump a lot of money on a bonus giveaway and also some huge "blessings" ....than having popular streamers using Stake money to sweep up all the Slots and give very little back to the subscribers.  Roll Eyes

Stake.com spend loads on money on Watford and also "pre&post monthly" when they win, but they are second last in the Premier league table.  Roll Eyes Ok, to be fair.... I do not think they knew that before they signed a contract with them, but they surely anticipated that they will not be in the top 10.  Roll Eyes

Stake also have a tough time being on top...... because they get DOSS attacked a lot.... so it is an ongoing struggle to out smart these guys.  Roll Eyes  (Count in Rain Farmers and cheaters.... and you have a recipe for disaster)
2769  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Pragmatic Play tournament 🏆 70 mBTC prize pool on: May 29, 2022, 08:35:37 AM
Can I ask what game are you going yolo? Is it on live games? Slots? or on house games?

I tried betting larger before on roulette for over $200 as a yolo, in the long run I lost almost half on my money. That was on my earliest days of my gambling.
I usually go yolo in house games where the house edge is minimal like Blackjack, Baccarat, Dice etc. I avoid going all-in in games with high house edge like slots, lotteries etc. This strategy helped me earn decent profits so far which is why it's my favorite strategy currently.

I apply the same strategy in sports betting as well though I avoid going all-in in accumulator bets for obvious reasons.

I never go YOLO on any of my bets.... that is more of a degen strategy for me, when I am on a losing streak in the past...and it has proven time and time again that it leads to zero balance.  Roll Eyes

You do calculated bets on in-house bets with a low house edge and you use the profits from that to fund the games with the high house edge and high volatility. (Some times it works.... other times it does not)  Roll Eyes
2770  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 29, 2022, 07:13:58 AM
A better strategy for me.... will be to "hoard" all your earnings from a signature campaign and then relocating to a 3rd world county and depositing the converted cash into a fixed deposit at a high interest rate... and living off that for a few years.  Wink  (Some Banks still give 10%+ interest on fixed deposits of 5years and longer)
I do not know how good of a strategy that is going to be. In as much as it sounds like a good idea, living in a third world country is not as easy as you imagine, i live in one by the way; and over here more than 70% of the population, minus the privileged rich people, would 'kill' to move over to a first world country to start a new life there, need i also remind you that the same privileged rich people every now and then travel to first world countries on vacation, to spend their money, etc, the only reason why many of them would not relocate permanently to a first world country is because they make their money back home.

There are many reasons why you would not want to relocate to a third world country, one is electricity, the power supply is so poor, and in the end you will be spending a huge amount of money on fuel or diesel to power your generator for 24 hours a day. Bad roads, noise and air pollution, insecurity, inflation, poor standard of living etc are other reasons. Taxes and bills are higher in first world countries simply because the standard of living is high, and you are paying for a good life, it is not so in third world countries, taxes and bills aren't as high because the standard of living is low, and if you are going to maintain a good standard of living for yourself there you have to pay so much, you have to literally 'buy' it, but not in the form of tax or necessary bills because the goverment provides nearly nothing, example it is better you provide electricity yourself through your generator than pay light bill for an epileptic power suppy.

Yes, I agree with you... but in the scenario that OP created in his thread... he wants to relocate to a country where he can live like a King with the small earnings that he gets from the highest paid signature campaign on this forum.

Now, I work on contract in Africa for a few months in a year... so I know exactly what you are saying about poor infrastructure and shitty electricity.. but you have to adapt...and if you adapt, you can succeed. We operate a fully functioning company in Africa under those circumstances. (Solar power / UPS's / Water purifiers / Driving 4x4's to adapt to the road conditions... etc.)

I think the most negative aspect of this will be the high crime rates / Corrupt government officials / Africa time at which things are done.... but high unemployment help to keep wages lower.... so we can have gardeners and cleaners etc.... that we cannot afford in 1st world countries. These people would not have had an income if we were not there... so we bring employment opportunities to help them support their families.  Wink
2771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Private Sector Controlling The New Money Systems. on: May 29, 2022, 06:59:01 AM
Do you honestly think the "Fiat" system are controlled by governments? The government are being controlled by "Puppet Masters" in the private sector (Banking & Financial sector & Super rich people) that put them in those positions with their money.  Wink

Who do you think are funding their election campaigns and the bribes that are being paid to get large tenders? Also, the same people behind the government ..are also behind large Crypto currency exchanges.  Wink

$500 for reaching platinum 1? Or platinum 2? Or other higher plat rank?
As per my experience, I got less than $500 when I reached Plat 1 ($200), Plat 2 ($400), and I got $800 for reaching Plat 3.
So I'm wondering which platinum rank you are referring to that gives you $500?
Seems like he is talking about the platinum 2 rank. Because, the rank up bonus for platinum 1 is $200. Recent gameplay activity can increase the amount a little. Stake gives $400 to it's user for reaching platinum 2 rank. I had received $400 when I reached platinum 2, beside that I got extra $40+ for my recent gameplay activity. I think he reached platinum two rank and received the regular level up bonus amount, plus extra $100 for his recent gameplay activity. The bonus amount could be $500 in that case.

They give you the $400 as a base amount and then another amount in reloads that are based on your recent wagering stats.. I got more or less $4 reloads for 28 days.  Wink

Can someone ask Eddie & Steve & Mikey ....if they can somehow post the weekend Discord link in the Telegram notification for the "Weekly" announcement. They put the Dlive link on there, so why can they not put the Discord link in there to? (Some people miss the post in the Dlive Chat in the beginning of the Stream)  Sad
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So my portfolio is down %70...too late to pull back now I guess on: May 28, 2022, 11:38:54 AM
I have been there several times before .... and if I panicked I would have lost a LOT of money. I bought bitcoins when it was $300+ and also when it was $21000 .....and then it went down with almost 60%! If I sold... I would have kicked myself into a Mental institution, because shortly after that.... the price increased with 800%..  Grin

If you use Bitcoin as a "Commodity" or an investment option.... you should look at it as a long-term investment. It is not some "Get Rich Quick" scheme, where you come in and quickly take huge profits.  Roll Eyes
2774  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 27, 2022, 12:29:19 PM
OP, I will not make a life changing decision like this (even though you said you will not) ...based on the income of a signature campaign. I too..was a member of Chipmixer for a long time, but they suddenly decided to swap me out for someone else. (Just as I got comfortable that I was part of the best paying signature campaign on this forum)  Sad

Now, imagine lifting your roots and then relocating to a paradise and living like a King for a month or two.. just to be kicked from a campaign and going back to earning nothing within a week.

A better strategy for me.... will be to "hoard" all your earnings from a signature campaign and then relocating to a 3rd world county and depositing the converted cash into a fixed deposit at a high interest rate... and living off that for a few years.  Wink  (Some Banks still give 10%+ interest on fixed deposits of 5years and longer)  Shocked

2775  Economy / Economics / Re: Solar panels set to be mandatory on all new buildings under EU plan on: May 27, 2022, 12:10:15 PM
My friend in South Africa told me once, their local municipality wants to implement a levy on the people using solar panels. Those people are going off the grid, because the electricity that are provided to them by the municipality are being priced at a premium and they cannot afford it anymore. (The electricity is also generated by coal-fired power stations)

The municipality wants to discourage people going off the grid, because it cuts an income source for them...when people do not use their electricity anymore. They plan to charge a "levy" on the electricity that are generated by solar to these households to cover their losses.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

So, it is absolutely crazy how different some governments and local municipalities are addressing "energy" supply and also how they rely heavily on "dirty" energy and still misuse their monopoly to drain money from their citizens.  Roll Eyes
2776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 27, 2022, 09:36:02 AM
The thing is... where will you find a larger collection of Crypto currency users on the Internet? Even if you find other Crypto currency focused platforms, you still need to find one, where the users are so active.  Wink

You need to know that the signature attached to a user that are part of a signature campaign are displayed on EVERY post that the person did, during his posting history on this forum. Example : I have made 11592 posts... so even if someone reads an old post that I have made 5 years ago, the signature will be displayed to the viewer.  Wink
2777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Environmental groups urge US government to take action on crypto miners on: May 27, 2022, 06:03:01 AM
I just love it when the Banking "shills" and "FUD" spreaders gets a blood nose from the real facts! They say, if you want to hit someone, you will find a stick to do it ....and this is very true for Bitcoin. The problem is..... the group that are dishing out the punishment... have a lot of skeletons in their own  closet.  Wink

How can Banker shills attack Bitcoin's energy use, if the money they are distributing to people are being tainted with pollution and emissions and environmental damage from cotton farming ...destruction of trees and also Nickel, copper and Zinc mining.  Roll Eyes
2778  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 27, 2022, 05:49:43 AM
Seems they decided to give out the remaining amount they didn't send out because the stream ended early. Ran out of steam after awhile.
Check to see how much you got cause it depends on your rank from the looks of the comments shown so far:
https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1530018700517965824

From $8mln to start with ran it up to a bit over $19mln in less than 25 minutes in was pretty good.
But like he said: "This was nothing to me to lose!" "Stake won this time but will get them next time!" Cheesy

Platinum III received 0.00276btc from what I seen of the above giveaway.
Not to shabby for watching a 2 hour stream.

Yea, it's absolutely crazy how a single gambler can drop about $1 000 000 on a single bet... right! His "Wanted Dead or Alive" bet was also EPIC ......and his $1400 balls he dropped on Plinko. (If Stake allowed $10 000 Plinko balls, he would have dropped that too)  Grin

I am very Happy for the guys who were blessed with the $10 000s & $25 000 & $50 000 and the last two $100 000 giveaways! I thought the rest of us will walk away with nothing.... and then he said the balance must be split to everyone that signed up for the Stream.... What a Legend!

The Stream was everything I thought it would be ....and more. Now, I need some sleep.... I only had 2 hours sleep.. prior to the Drake Stream.  Tongue
2779  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 26, 2022, 01:18:36 PM
The most frustrating game on Stake.com =====> Crash

This game has the best artificial intelligence in this world!  .....This is my experience :

1. When I decide to run say 200 x small bets to see if I can jump out on 50x .... then it will not go even close to 50x
2. When I decide to bet 50% on my balance on a 2x .... it will crash on anything below 2x
3. When I set it for 50x ..and it goes to say 25x.. and I decide to exit early.. it will glitch and suddenly show that it crashed on 24.56x
4. When my finger goes down.... it will crash just before I press the "cashout"  Angry
5. When I "Autobet" say 100 bets with a Cashout on 15x ......it will not go above 10x for the 100 bets
6. When my "Autobet" stop .....it will go far beyond the multiplier I have been aiming for.  Roll Eyes
7. I am never in when it reach say 2000x or 6000x ...even if it is a bet with $0.02
8. When I configure my Cashout for 100x and I get greedy and exit quickly on 25x.... it will go to 100x and beyond.
9. When you do hit a higher multiplier.. say 25x ... it goes into FU mode and it crashes on low numbers until it gets back the 25x win.

Now, I know.... everyone is sharing the same Seed for the "Crash" session, so it cannot predict your bet and then act accordingly.. but I am just posting this for fun .... to see if you guys experience the same thing.  Grin Grin Grin Grin
2780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Fiat Financial advisors are such hypocrites when it comes to Bitcoin on: May 26, 2022, 11:32:35 AM
Say you got into the game when a bitcoin was 10 cents, around October 2010. If you invested $100, you’d have been able to buy about 1,000 bitcoins. <=== $29 610 000 worth at today's value. What will you say in 12 years from now?
FWIW this is a false statement because you aren't taking the risk into account. In early days people who saw bitcoin were faced with a very experimental currency that might not have lived to see past a birthday or two. So anybody buying it back then would have been taking a much bigger risk that anybody buying it today that bitcoin is 13 years old, has a strong network, is adopted in multiple countries as a legitimate currency and a legal tender in a country or two.
In other words calling bitcoin a "high risk investment" now is silly in my opinion.

Well, I bought some bitcoins back in 2013 for something like $700.... so I made a massive profit on it and it did not break my Bank.  Roll Eyes  How many people will not have tried to spend $100 on something with a high risk... if I dropped a lot more into it, when it was still highly controversial to buy it.  Roll Eyes

Even if you bought at $1000 / $2000 / $5000..... it would have given you a massive profit... if you had the balls to hold onto it.  Wink I also think...calling Bitcoin a high risk investment... is not silly at all. In my opinion it is still in it's experimental phase, because we do not know if the tx fees will be enough to sustain the mining... when the Block reward fall away.  Roll Eyes

I will label it as a high risk short-term investment ....or a medium risk long-term investment.  Wink
