But i agree with you that anyway it is really big win for all these men. The same time much more men just lost these several thousands usd. These wins often used by casino to attract new gamblers and big part of them think that he can be this winner. And lose all their money.
You are right, not even the calculation is comparable to the biggest win even if someone has gambled for 5 years, the simple calculation above has even proven that he only spent +$54k for 5 years, so the above win is very rare even in the future the list of records above remains and impossible to be surpassed.

For 50 years, mate, not five, but fifty. I showed in my calculation above that even buying a $3 ticket every single day for 50 years in a row, and losing all that money, would constitute an amount much lower than a Jackpot.

What I meant was that a rhetoric such as "he has probably lost more money before he won that prize" isn't suitable for Jackpot winners, or very rarely suitable anyway.

Even after all this time, Bitcoin is going strong and remains the dominant player in the crypto niche. Everything else comes and goes but bitcoin remains a force to reckon with. Its creator(s) had something else in mind rather than getting rich over night and on the expense of the community, which remains the case with all altcoins. The oldest and most successful truly decentralized crypto.

Yes, it's true, and I wish all people knew this. It's unimaginable how many sh*tcoin scamming projects would be prevented, if people really knew the main difference between BTC and any other newly appeared crypto that "works the same or even better", that has "lower transaction fees and works much faster". And the difference is that BTC is more decentralized than any of them by a wide margin.
2763  Economy / Economics / Re: "Cities of the future," built from scratch on: September 07, 2022, 12:02:04 PM

I personally feel sorry that this project has failed. I don't think the organizers were planning to scam investors, or something. I think they really had good intentions, but, like so many others, they were a bit ahead of their time. Maybe in 20 years cities like Akon City will be successfully built. I certainly hope so, anyway.

Mao had good intentions too and probably truly believed in them, but everyone knows what some of the consequences have been.
Building a futuristic city at cost of billions for a few hundred thousand people when millions don't have water and electricity from my point of view it's not a good idea, it's not even a good plan, it's straight from the books on machiavellianism.

First off, I agree regarding Mao, he was as evil as Hitler and Stalin, in my opinion today, although I almost worshiped the guy when I was a teenager. But I must say, I disagree with the rest. I think when a project at cost of billions is on, many thousands of poor families benefit from it. They are getting jobs that wouldn't be there otherwise. And when such a city is built and construction jobs are mostly over, it is still good, economically-wise, for the people around to have such a city in their vicinity.

Guys, OP wasn't here since September 01, and I personally find it strange, opening a thread like this and not showing up for reading and replying to posters.

My theory is that something was indeed wrong with his documents, and he has nothing to say in his defense.

Again, I know so little about MBit casino so that I can't be sure about their fairness, and thus I'm still waiting for more comments from the OP and MBit's official representative here.

Are you guys familiar with Peter McCormack? Are you into podcasts at all? You can shoot some recommendations if you have any. Or what other sources are your recent favourites to get your crypto information?

I am familiar with Peter McCormack of course, I’ve followed him for a long time. He’s a really interesting guy & long term bitcoin advocate.

I don’t listen to too many podcasts. I am mostly a bitcoin only investor & long term HODLER. There are some guys to follow on Twitter who are great sources of knowledge. My favourite bitcoin related guys to follow are:

That’s just a start, some good people to follow.

The best reading material is The Bitcoin Standard written by Saifedean Ammous.
I think it’s really important to educate ourselves because without Satoshi & the most impressive innovation of the last century (bitcoin) we wouldn’t be here.

This is a great list of accounts to follow on twitter! I didn't know about many of them, and I was surprized by the number of followers some of them have. I followed most of them straight away because, yeah, I too think that it's very important to educate ourselves.

I would like to add two more links

https://twitter.com/aantonop?lang=en

https://twitter.com/IvanOnTech?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

which, imo, are also pretty informative.

2769  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 06, 2022, 11:14:57 AM
~

Ser, if played more properly and seriously, Monopoly is actually a game that requires skill and strategy to win consistently. It's "fun" for spending time with friends/family, and also "relaxing" if no one made a bet with real actual money to award for the winner of the game. But bet enough money in the game, and you'll see the relaxing mood, become more serious with more intention to win. Hahaha.

Like with any other game, you know. You can have fun with playing slots with $0.1 ro $0.2 bets, but start betting with $10-$20 and it is very likely you'll end up in trouble. It's not like this for everyone, some gamblers can easily afford losing $1k and more, but if you are not one of them, don't bet with $10 at once on slots. And although Monopoly involves skill, you still should risk big money(for you) playing this game.
2770  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 06, 2022, 10:19:26 AM
Germany shouldn't have shut down their Nuclear power plants. Tin-foil hats on, but sometimes I believe that the governments around Europe are infiltrated by "its enemies" and cause their leaders to make very stupid policies. Because why did Germany allow themselves to be dependent on Russian gas?~

That is right, rather they should have built more of them. Just look at this answer provided by Google:

"Have no fear of atomic energy", as Bob Marley said in his "Redemption Song". But seriously, it's true. And yes, the fear of it is irrational, and it is advantageous to those who want others to be dependent on dirty energy sources like gas, oil and coal. This needs to come to an end.

I remember I received my first $5 exclusive bonus email during February right after I become inactive playing in Duelbits after I participate on christmas event. And I keep receiving this same email every month until the Eastern Egg hunt event because that is the time I become active again on Duelbits to claim the 5$ bonus and daily Egg hunt reward. I never get a 5$ bonus after that since I always deposit and play in daily basis on Duelbits to there sportsbook. I’m not really sure if this promotion started this year only since I just become less active on the start of the year. Maybe someone who is inactive last year might help us to determine whether this bonus exist by then or not.

Only Duelbits offering this kind of cash drop for inactive players because many casino gives free spin with wagering requirements instead of cash prize.

Yes, mine $5 bonuses were from Easter Giveaway too:

Just checked my history and there were no incomes of $5 since then, although I had even a better one,

I think it was a Level up bonus. Now I'm wondering is it really random, and distributed even among inactive players, as @ryzaadit is saying above?

No logic in buying a ticket for just 1 satoshi? I don't see much of logic in keeping 1 satoshi either. Smiley It won't be a lot of money even if BTC hits $1 million, right? So, I wouldn't call it "spending money", if you ask me. It's spending 1 satoshi and making your life a little bit more entertaining with that. Smiley

It's worth noting that any user of the freebitcoin site can easily get a few thousand tickets and sats with the daily free spins of the wheel of fortune. So there is no particular need to spend sats to buy additional tickets. As for me, if a user has some sats left on his balance, it's better to spend them on buying FUN tokens rather than lottery tickets.

I absolutely agree with you, but believe it or not, if your getting lottery tickets from free rolls is disabled, and you have just 2 WoF spins per day on average, there are some weeks when you have zero lottery tickets. I personally consider those weeks lucky ones because I prefer getting RPs or some satoshis from my WoF spins, but in that case I buy at least 1 ticket to make my chance of winning the lottery not zero.
2773  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: September 05, 2022, 02:08:01 PM
~ Luck plays a big role in gambling, no doubt about that. But we shouldn't forger that it plays a different role in different games. Some games, such as dice, keno, plinko etc, are purely luck based, while others, like poker and sports betting, require some skills in order to be successful. You can still lose in those games because of bad luck, but there's a good chance, not a "little chance", like you said, that you'll be in profit in the long run, if you possess the required skills.

You're right about this mate, not everyone has the luck of a thing in common, and not every gambling comes with a luck believe, some just need your intellectual skills and reasonings, it is understood that we have lots of games around the world woth their different means of engaging them into play, same is required that a gambler should understand the type of game and it mode of engagement in other to drrive something beneficial out of it, we advise one play a gambling game he's good at just in other to exercise expertise.

You still depend on luck in games like poker, and all poker players know how it feels when you have an Ace high flush and someone has a full house, or worse, you have a full house and some has four of a kind. But such things happen rarely, and most of the time you win with just a flush, let alone an Ace high flush. And, right, practice is important for playing a game of skill, while for purely luck based games it's absolutely irrelevant.
2774  Economy / Economics / Re: The BTC price must stabilize in the long run. on: September 05, 2022, 01:10:26 PM
I agree with you. In times when everything around is very unstable, we can't expect something as volatile as BTC becoming stable all of a sudden. In times like these, people are selling their assets to cover their food needs and stuff, and Bitcoin is not an exception. But no pandemic and no war can last forever. Better times will come.
Stability will only be achieved when adoption is at a global level. Now adoption is no longer surprising as it is increasing day by day, but this adoption is still on a relatively small scale in the micro-industry.

Not many macro industries are willing to adopt bitcoin as a payment system, but some are already well-known. Macro adoption growth can help stability as bitcoin will be used more as a currency than for anything else. Of course adoption still has the potential to grow, but it will take us decades from now to use it on a larger/global scale.

They say there are more than 180 million users of Bitcoin worldwide. So, we are moving forward step by step. And I agree with you, the more users the more stable BTC will be. How many users we need for stability in your opinion? I personally think around half billion would be enough.

^ That is bluffing.
Bluffing sometimes made your lucky day but not all the time, if you have opponents that have the same technique used, it will probably not work because both of you pretending about the emotion. But I don't know how it will work in online poker games if your opponent is online, there is no bluffing and your luck depend on the cards that you get. I don't know how effective poker game online courses are right while it is free over the internet, I even watch a different tutorial on Youtube and try my skills using an app that is playing poker for free.

I disagree that in online poker you can't bluff, and your game depends only on the cards that you get. Far from it. In fact, in online poker you can do all the things you do in real life games, and that's why the same people who are doing good in live games are doing good in online poker as well.

My theory is that your face expression is not that important. What's important is the time you take before the action and the size of your bet.

I also from the seven games got only 2 right but luckily got one exact score and one close,Chelsea exact and Tottenham close the only results I got right.I never thought Liverpool to not win against a much weaker Everton but the biggest surprise for me was the win of Bournemouth that they turned things around in the second half from 2-0 to 2-3 and I considered them the worst team yet together with Leicester of the Premier League, now they are in mid table.

Manchester City I guess everyone will get a point as a minimum.

I got only 1 right from 10 games

and that prediction wasn't a rocket science, actually. 23 people from our pool preditced the same result. But overall I moved 5 postitons up, and I am very pleased with this.

What's good about starting very low is that these's a high probability of you going up and up in the future. Smiley
2778  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: September 05, 2022, 10:02:01 AM
Moved 5 positions up this time

with my preditions

Again, not a bad round for me, although my favourite team, Liverpool FC, let me down, unfortunately. I predicted their win, 1-3

and wasn't expecting this in the end.

But the game itself was great. Lots of goalpost hits on both sides, amazing job by Alisson and also by Jordan Pickford, and even a goal scoring by a Liverpool Youth Academy alumnus, Conor Coady ... but not quite, it was an offside.

You, guys, who's predictions were exact and close,

Nice job! Ever consider playing Powerball? Smiley

2 words: Maximum Concentration. When I gamble, I try to distract myself from the rest of the world by focusing completely on the game. I like to feel the increasing level of concentration, as I take this process extremely seriously.

This is a great approach to playing slots, imo. This way you won't increase your chances of winning, but if you use slots to relax, to forget about your daily concerns, to  pump some dopamine into your brain, focusing completely on the game is what you should try to do.
