2761  Economy / Economics / Re: US with problems to raise the debt ceiling... again on: September 28, 2021, 07:27:26 AM
The republicans did the right thing by blocking it. Biden just want to borrow trillions of USD and then spend a large part of it on the most unproductive sectors of the US economy. It is just like putting all that money in to a black hole. Unless the Democrats come up with a more unbiased plan, the GOP should block whatever bill they bring. The US federal debt has already crossed $28.8 trillion, and now stands higher than the GDP. GOP needs to oppose it, because when they get back to power in either 2024 or 2028, they will face issues from this ballooning debt.

I don't believe that the Republicans will be stupid enough to cause the default of the USA.Such default might cause a gigantic global financial crisis, maybe a new Great Depression,in times of a global Pandemic.
This seems like the perfect disaster, and the Republicans might take all the blame for causing such disaster,so I don't think that they will keep blocking the debt ceiling increase.
Like other members said, there will be some drama in the US congress, but both parties will eventually agree to an increase of the national debt, because there aren't any alternative solutions to the US debt problem.
2762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No vaccine no entry Casino house! on: September 28, 2021, 07:10:30 AM
I was faced with real-life situations in my city over the weekend, I visited a casino house close to my residence to have some fun time but on getting to the casino gate I was stopped by security at the gate and they demanded a covid 19 vaccine card which I don't have at the moment and I was denied entry I felt embarrassed but I have no option than to turn back. Is the situation the same in your neighborhood?

I have never visited a casino in my entire life.I'm gambling online.I live in a small town and there was a small casino, but it was closed recently.I've never played any games in that casino. Sad
Being restricted due to not having a vaccine seems like discrimination to me.I'm glad that the COVID rules are pretty liberal in my country and the government won't allow such discrimination.
I guess that you will have to follow the rules and get vaccinated,if you want to visit a casino, which by the way, seems like a stupid reason to get vaccinated.Do you have a gambling addiction,OP? Grin
2763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin(Cryptocurrencies) is a social movement? on: September 28, 2021, 06:41:09 AM
Do you consider Bitcoin(or cryptocurrencies) in general a social movement? If you consider so, social movements need a formal organization to support the movement. Is there a formal organization behind Bitcoin?

No,I don't consider Bitcoin/altcoins to be a social movement.
The term "social movement" is more related to political parties,non-profit organizations, human rights movements, religious movements,etc..
Bitcoin is a currency/financial asset and the blockchain technology is a payment network/system.
The Bitcoin/crypto community is definitely NOT a social movement. The people, who own a certain financial asset cannot be called a "social movement" or a "community".
We don't need any formal organization to "stand behind" Bitcoin.
2764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10x leverage above are simple ways the avarage are losing to the rich on: September 27, 2021, 11:45:09 AM
Asking why 100x leverage trading exists is the same as asking why gambling and casinos exist. Grin
It exists because there are greedy people, who want to win lots of money with almost no efforts.
The risk/reward ratio is very high and the people who are using leverage can "bet" small amounts and get big profits,if the price goes in the right direction.
Leverage is just a cool feature and the crypto exchange platforms are offering this feature in order to gain more customers. This is competition, market economy and capitalism.
The traders are using leverage at their own risk. The government can step in and regulate the amount of leverage, but the risk lovers will just run away and choose another crypto exchange platform, located in another country that has more liberal rules about leverage trading.
2765  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-04] 70% of Salvadorans opposed to Bitcoin Law as Sep. 7 implementation on: September 27, 2021, 11:23:47 AM
The people, who are living in poor countries are usually closed minded and very skeptical about every new technology and innovation. They also don't trust their governments.
There's going to be slow learning process that will follow the BTC adoption in El Salvador.Nobody is expecting the vast majority of the population in El Salvador to embrace Bitcoin with arms wide open.
It's important to know that nobody is forcing the people to use BTC.They can still use USD if they want to.
Adopting Bitcoin won't improve the economy of El Salvador right away, but it might be helpful for educating the younger generation about the benefits for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
2766  Economy / Economics / Re: DO I NEED TO LOOSE THE ONE I HAVE GOTTEN OR LOOK TO GAIN MORE? on: September 27, 2021, 06:08:29 AM
This forum thread seems to be more philosophical rather than related to economy, finance or the cryptocurrency world.
What do you mean by "to gain more"?Do you mean gaining more money and material possessions?
I don't think that this will make you happy. You should make more money by working something that you love.
I also don't think that gaining more money should be our main goal in our life.Money are important for sure, but gaining wisdom, knowledge and experience is what we should aim for.
Gaining more and losing what you've got shouldn't be a contradiction. You could gain more and keep what you already have.
2767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another Vaccination Lottery on: September 27, 2021, 05:48:31 AM
Vaccination lotteries are an insult to people's intelligence.
Do they think that the people are retards? No lottery can incentivize me to vaccinate.I will vaccinate when I'm sure that the vaccines are effective and there's a real threat for my health due to the coronavirus.
Perhaps the lottery gambling addicts will have to vaccinate multiple times,in order to get multiple "tickets" for that lottery. This is ridiculous.

And how do you know the result isn't rigged? People who resist vaccine don't trust the government, and they won't trust the result is going to be fair. Cheesy
I just hope that the government won't get butthurt by how little this lottery affects people's decision, and then start door-to-door forced vaccination.

I agree. The people don't trust the government and the healthcare system.Diving them "small candies" won't help. However,I don't think that forced vaccination will start,at least not in my country.
2768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 27, 2021, 05:23:50 AM
Damn,OP.What's the point of adding so many exclamation marks in your title?
Are you panicking? This sounds over-dramatic. Grin
The China crypto ban was pretty much expected. We just didn't know when it will happen.
Bitcoin and the crypto world will be fine without China and all the FUD that was coming from there.
I'm expecting many Chinese to use illegal ways to trade cryptocurrencies.Using VPNs won't do the work, because most exchanges are KYC.Perhaps the non-KYC exchanges will be flooded with Chinese traders and some privacy coins like Monero will explode in terms of price and usage, because my Chinese crypto supporters will start using them.
2769  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price suppression - futures volume vs spot volume on: September 26, 2021, 12:21:38 PM
The Bitcoin futures market exists since 2017.
The Bitcoin price increased from a few thousand dollars back in 2017 to 60K USD in the spring of 2021.
Does that look like a Bitcoin price suppression?I don't think so.
If too many futures traders are shorting the price of Bitcoin, then a "short squeeze" might happen(theoretically). Many traders will start buying BTC on the spot market and pumping the price, therefore the BTC futures will be "out of the money" so the traders, who are shorting BTC will dump the futures and buy BTC on the sport market, leading to a bigger pump.I know that the BTC market is different than the stocks market, but such thing can happen.
I have always hated all the financial derivatives and especially Bitcoin futures. We don't need this BS.
If anyone wants to bet on the Bitcoin price, buying BTC directly is the best option.
2770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China trying its best to get hated on: September 26, 2021, 12:06:17 PM
The hatred only comes from crypto supporters who see China as a barrier to global adoption or creating bearish sentiment. So far don't know the exact percentage of the entire human population that actually supports crypto. If it was only a small part, then this hatred was nothing to them.
But who denies that China is a great business paradise? Chinese people will not really run in that country because their government offers better things (in their opinion), on the contrary they always attract the attention of non-Chinese. And in fact, China dominates the technology market share worldwide.

China is a "business paradise" only for the companies, that are willing to pay bribes to members of the Chinese government and the communist party.China is at 85th place in the "Doing business" ranking, which was made by the World Bank AFAIK.They moved from 85th place to 78th place. This is still far away from the best countries in this ranking-Singapore,Switzerland,Taiwan,New Zealand,Australia,USA,etc...
China relies on cheap labor and stolen technologies from the west. These are two great advantages, but that doesn't mean that doing business in China is easy and fun.
I hope that the crypto world will start ignoring all the FUD coming from China.
2771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 26, 2021, 11:51:41 AM
I'm expecting Arsenal and Tottenham to make a draw. Both teams look weak and predictable.
The draw between Liverpool and Brantford might seem shocking, but I kinda expect Liverpool to make such mistakes. They've done it in the past.
Anyway Man United vs. Aston Vila was hilarious. Why the hell did Bruno Fernandes perform the penalty.
I thought that Cristiano Ronaldo will perform all the penalties... Huh
Man City vs. Chelsea was a pretty much expected outcome.I think that Man City will win the Premier League again.Pep Guardiola knows how to win trophies, even though he kinda sucks at the Champions League, after he left Barcelona.
2772  Economy / Economics / Re: [LIST] Countries that own bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 06:29:50 AM
Quote
Bulgaria
The Bulgarian government seized more than 200,000 bitcoins from the results of an organized crime crackdown in May 2017, according to reporting by CoinDesk. The sting resulted in the arrest of 23 Bulgarian nationals and the seizure of bitcoin valued at $3.3 billion at the time. As of late November 2017, the Bulgarian government declined to comment on what would happen with the seized digital currency, indicating that there was an ongoing criminal investigation.

I live in Bulgaria and I have NEVER heard any news about 3.3 billion USD worth of BTC confiscated by the government.I'm talking about the local newspapers, news websites and televisions.
If this was real,I guess that it would have been pretty big news and everyone in Bulgaria would know about it,but that's not the case.
I assume that this is some made up gossip that has nothing to do with the truth.
Maybe some corrupted government officials have stolen the confiscated BTC. Grin
Anyway,I don't believe that any other country will follow El Salvador and buy Bitcoins anytime soon.
Maybe underdeveloped countries that have weak national currencies like Venezuela and Zimbabwe will buy some BTC in the future.
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin Ban false alarm on: September 26, 2021, 05:37:55 AM
It's not a false alarm, they have been banning crypto since 2013, LOL.

So why are investors still affected by this news? I haven't check the price, but today it is $42,000-$43,000. We are still above or at least in the average for this month. So I guess the drop will be temporary. On the contrary, if history repeats itself, this kind of statement from China will fuel another bull run.

This type of news will definitely scare the smaller and inexperienced traders so I expect the Bitcoin price to drop below 40K USD for a while. The price had recovered many times from this FUD.It will recover again.
I can't wait for China to ban crypto once and for all,so we could stop with all this FUD,that has been continuing for years.Bitcoin/crypto will be fine without China.Sure, the cryptocurrency prices would be way bigger,if China(or at least the Chinese government) was more open towards crypto adoption.
I expect a bull run to happen in 2022.I was more optimistic about this year, but the FUD will discourage many investors into buying Bitcoin.
2774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: September 24, 2021, 06:10:30 AM
Barcelona have big debts and financial difficulties. That's why they dumped their best and most expensive players and bought cheaper and more mediocre players. The Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is helpless and they will sacrifice him for sure. The Barcelona crisis won't end anytime soon.
Real Madrid hired a great coach like Carlo Ancelotti and they have good young players like Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez. On the other hand Atletico Mardid have Suarez and Grizman as strikers, which is great.
Real and Atletico will be the main competitors for winning La Liga.
2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe BTC can be attacked? on: September 24, 2021, 05:41:00 AM

Let's not forget attacks from other cryptocurrencies.
I remember in 2017 when BCH forked from Bitcoin,  it was literally an attack.

They used bitcoin name and also said that bch was the "real" bitcoin, the Satoshi vision and all those lies and misinformation.

Bitcoin price dropped a lot in that period, and they altered able to push bch to 0.5 btc. Thankfully bch is now an irrelevant shitcoin that no one cares about.

The Bitcoin price "dropped a lot" in 2017?Are you kidding me?2017 was extremely bullish for Bitcoin. The BTC price went from 1-2K in January to 17-20K USD in December 2017.Is this a price drop? Grin
The BCH fork was an attack, but it wasn't a hack.
Actually I think that the BCH hardfork pumped the Bitcoin Core price a little bit, because many traders and investors bought BTC,because they wanted to claim free BCH and sell them for some easy profits.
Anyway, comparing Bitcoin Core to this Poly network altcoin is ridiculous.
Bitcoin cannot be hacked and even if if was hacked, the BTC price will drop to zero, which makes the hack pointless, because the hackers will spend a lot of resources and efforts and get nothing in return.
2776  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 AllSlotsClub.com🎰 | Feel the All Slots Club Difference!🌟 on: September 23, 2021, 11:46:50 AM
My country is also in the banned list,so I cannot access this crypto casino.
The OP must explain about this issue and how he plans to promote his crypto casino, since most of the global web traffic is banned.Making a forum thread here and trying to attract new gamblers doesn't make any sense.
Maybe OP will have to focus on local methods of getting new players from his own country, where he has a gambling license and access to the website is allowed.
2777  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 23, 2021, 11:16:09 AM
Trying to survive and thrive in a rigged system is one thing.
Your or other people's believes about God,the meaning or life, the creation of the universe or life after death are a completely different thing.Money and wealth doesn't provide any explanation about the meaning of life.
We live in a market economy and everything is measured in money. The fact that you are using money doesn't mean that you believe that money is a God or religion.Money is just a tool used to measure the value of goods and services and to re-distribute wealth by using the market system.
2778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.org hacked. on: September 23, 2021, 06:30:47 AM
Damn.I'm glad I've never used bitcoin.org in my life before.
We have to track all the outgoing transactions of this scammers wallet.Perhaps this is the only way to catch the scammer, unless he tries to use a Bitcoin mixer. Why he isn't moving the BTC away from this wallet?
Blacklisting this Bitcoin wallet address is also necessary.
Why do people keep falling for this "double your Bitcoin" shit?
4 transactions with a total value of more than 17K USD?WTF?

2779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: September 23, 2021, 06:07:30 AM
Hello everyone, I know 3 cryptocurrency casinos that have advanced settings for automatic bets in the dice game, the casinos I am talking about are Stake, Primedice and Wolf, when I talk about advanced settings I mean that we can configure streaks, change of side and probability of winning, apart from the 3 casinos that I mentioned that have such game configurations in others that only have simple configurations for dice game, a casino that only has simple configurations is BC Game, I would like to know if there is any way to use advanced settings at BC Game or any other casino that does not have advanced settings.

The configurations of the advanced settings inside those dice games doesn't matter at all.
At the end of the day,it's all about luck.I'm sick of gamblers thinking that imposing a "strategy" such a martingale can increase their chances of winning dice games and making profits. This is simply delusional.
Automating the bets on dice games, using a dice bot or a macro won't increase your chances of winning.
Just bet the minimum possible amount and play for fun.You can't make any serious money by betting on dice sites. If you eventually make a big winning bet on a dice site, then this will be 100% luck, not a strategy or a plan or you having superior gambling skills.

2780  Economy / Speculation / Re: El Salvador run or survive? on: September 22, 2021, 11:38:54 AM
El Salvador is already one of the people that big investors talk about, because he has strong principles against the large number of bitcoin adopters after he legalized bitcoin as a legal medium of exchange in his country. while the market conditions are fluctuating, will he be influenced to sell or will he continue to survive? current issue!
What do you think about El Salvador amid price fluctuations?

I think that we should stop being so focused on El Salvador.
El Salvador will be fine.Making 100 forum posts a day speculating about
"Will El Salvador do this? Will El Salvador do that?" doesn't help for raising the quality of the discussions, which are happening on this forum.
OP I don't understand parts of your post. What do you mean by "he has strong principles against the large number of bitcoin adopters after he legalized bitcoin"?
Do you mean that president Bukele legalized Bitcoin, because he has strong principles against the Bitcoin adopters? This doesn't make any sense.
