2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 23, 2021, 12:37:59 AM
I saw a rumor today that the Lakers are going to be giving Monta Ellis a workout for the team. I知 not sure how old he is these days, but Monta was a killer back with the Warriors in Steph痴 early days. If he can still play and is motivated to go for a championship, that could be a great pickup. Hopefully he痴 still got some in the tank.

I doubt it.

There is a reason why the Warriors thrived after getting rid of Monta.

He's definitely a talent but I think that it would just be a weird mix of oldheads from a bygone era all trying to mesh in a short period of time. I think that we've seen that in the early 2010s Nets - it's probably not going to work at the end of the day.

Well back then GSW did have a hard time deciding, but the decision was for the good of the team as they were able to trade him, retain Steph, and then next year got Klay and Green and the rest is history.

But since he is making a comeback, his still some game and maybe the Lakers will be a good fit for him even for a one year veteran salary.
2782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: September 22, 2021, 11:36:47 PM
Nonito is keeping his belt and I think he would fight to defend his title, but we can't have the assurance if we would win this fight. His age is getting older, and every opponents who wanted to challenge him did a strong preparations to beat him.
On Donaire's side, I think he also got the best trading for him to defend himself as well as his title belt.
Wishing more luck for him, and still my support for him as his countrymen remain strong.

Yes, for sure, Nonito would defend his belt even if it is against another Filipino. But I disagree though, fighters are good in their last fight. And we have seen Nonito destroys Nordine with his combo. So even as he is getting older, he is also getting smarter and can still pull the trigger. No doubt that he will be the favorite to win against Gaballo here and maybe set up a rematch with Inoue early next year.
2783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KIN (KIN) a good project ? on: September 22, 2021, 06:09:20 AM
Just by saying it is good project won't make it good, you need to study snd understand the project, concept and utility, if the project will be sustainable long term or it is temporary, the community backing  as well, depending on your interest in the project if you want to get into it for long or short term basis, some project takes a longer time to react to price than others even though they are technically sound, you should take note of this.

And in this argument, I don't value that KIN will be sustainable in the long. Perhaps the case against SEC really took a toll on the project as it plummeted to near 0 if I'm not mistaken, meaning it died. But they keep on reviving it, but with the recent surge of a lot of projects, investors have been long gone with KIN and will rather invest or more hype project or at least the solid one for long term, just saying.
2784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 22, 2021, 02:46:28 AM

Everything wont really be still sure unless if it would really make it official but since there are no words do came from promoters but we are hearing already some schedule about the fight
then it is most likely we would really be seeing Casimero vs Inoue but if these kind of negotiations in between Donaire and Casimero then it would be possible but as concluded
there is some mandatory match of Donaire then high chance that Inoue would be the next fight of Casimero.

I don't know what's keeping the promoters for the fights to happen between Inoue and Casimero or Casimero and Donaire, there's huge money to be made on both fights, it seems their managers are protecting their boxers because the fight could go either way and the value of their fighters will go down if they are beaten, the boxing world has been deprived of great fights in the lower weight division because some promoters want the fights to happen in the house like what Mayweather is doing.

As per Casimero, they are waiting for Inoue and Top Rank's offer in the table. So I can only speculate that the ball is still on Inoue's side as they haven't send any yet. Yeah, I agree, boxing promoters such as Bob Arum doesn't want his cash cow to lose or to be a damage goods after a Casimero fight. And maybe this could be the biggest reason why we will not see a fight between Inoue vs Casimero. Maybe they will have to wait even further before allowing Inoue to face a tough fighter like Casimero.
2785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 22, 2021, 02:02:48 AM
Ben Simmons now officially not reporting to training camp. Seems Vegas is betting he値l be on the Minnesota Timberwolves before the season starts. I知 still thinking Sacramento but we値l see. I was surprised to hear JJ Redick retired officially today also. One of the better shooters in NBA history. He値l be missed.

Very interesting.

I wonder if the 76ers will take further action when it comes to this stuff.

They seem to say in media releases that they do plan on fining Ben Simmons if he doesn't turn up to training camp. But the fine seems so small that it really doesn't make a difference to Ben. I agree that Sacramento is the prime destination for him right now.

Sixers have done everything in their power to trade Ben, however, it seems that teams are not willing to get Simmons. I agree that Sacramento might be a good team to land Simmons, however, we can't find any news that will validate our speculations.

Good riddance for JJ Redick, one hell of a career, he can still play ball but I guess everyone has a priority and for him that is his family.
2786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A whale moved $2bn in bitcoin 540 times in a short time frame on: September 22, 2021, 12:07:06 AM
Yep, nothing suspicious with this move, as others said, it's part of a big business, mixing services, gambling platforms etc. So I will say that this is a normal bitcoin movement and has been practice by the said businesses.

If this is a scammer, who is very knowledgeable, he won't this kind of stupid move, he will probably used tumblers to hide and obfuscate his track and footprints.
2787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: September 21, 2021, 03:10:10 AM
Odds are now available.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/herring-jamel-vs-stevenson-shakur-61483dbea96a9f2fa3aa01d0

Herring, Jamel  @5
Stevenson, Shakur @1.14

Looks like the odds is telling that Shakur would win this fight easily, I don't like to bet if no handicap of the fight but it's good to see that the odds are available early so we will know what the bookies think about this fight.

Let's wait for the handicap mate, ML is no good for us. And I don't like the 1.14 odds, for me this fight is going to be close. Maybe a decision win by Shakur will be juicy as compare to ML, or a Herring decision win as well.

Bookies is obviously favouring Shakur because he is undefeated champion. On the other hand, Herring is also very durable and has more experience.
2788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka ( A state in India ) they introduced bill in assembly to ban o.gamblin on: September 21, 2021, 02:09:44 AM
A ban is the first step and regulation is the next. It seems the state doesn't have the means to enforce taxes on any of these online platforms that is why they are trying to scare the gamblers. This is a challenge to many governments right now and it's not only in India that online gambling is prohibited.

On the contrary, it should be regulation first, if regulation is not enough, then an outright ban.

However, it seems they skip that process and go directly to banning online gambling. So this will not sit well for those gamblers around that area for sure. I'm not really sure why they came up with measures to go and ban online gambling. It may result in gamblers, playing underground to circumvent this ban. We all know how resourceful gamblers are, they will always find a way to continue it no matter if we are in a pandemic or an outright banning from the state.
2789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 21, 2021, 01:09:57 AM
^^ Yes good odds for Caleb, but it's really hard to see him upsetting Canelo in this fight. Perhaps it will be competitive as Caleb will try to make the fight very close to the judges eye. And Canelo is slow started, but will make his move around 4-6 rounds or in the middle of the fight and we don't know if Caleb can deal with Canelo's power. So I would say  that smart money should be for Canelo in this fight.
2790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: time to add your bag on: September 21, 2021, 12:39:01 AM
today the price of cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin) is correcting again and I suggest you don't panic sell, but now is an opportunity for us to buy cryptocurrency that we want at a low price, so don't miss this opportunity or you will regret it when the market starts to recover and increasing again, because I believe the correction that happened this year will not be as severe as in previous years, so market conditions will definitely recover quickly and will make you get profit in the near future.

Thanks for the reminder, but there are still investors that are going to sell because of the current dip, they have to learn it the hard way.

Of course with every dip, it's a perfect opportunity to fill your bags again. No need to push the panic button here, historically September is a bad month so this is another golden time for us to panic buy and not to panic sell.
2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your react related to the new gambling sites promoted here? on: September 19, 2021, 07:34:21 AM
What do you mean? If you wanted to try new sites then obviously, you need to have your money ready. The thing with this new gambling sites though is their reputation, so it's really hard to just blindly trust and deposit right away. There could be issues like withdrawals, maybe KYC will be needed before you can withdraw your winnings. Or in some cases, if you won big, newly gambling sites might held your money first and see if you have cheated them or have exploited their system. So for average gamblers like me, no I won't easily deposit money, and will wait for more feedback if we can trust that new gambling platform or not.
2792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: September 19, 2021, 12:17:18 AM
Ever noticed how people would boast or proudly proclaim (or at least used to) that they invest and trade stocks, but they don't feel the same way about crypto, as if it's a secret never to be shared? Why is that?

You may want to read this from [CryptoSec.info]: The $5 Wrench Attack.

So you can't just go to a bar and just meet someone and tell that you are into crypto. Not saying that you need to be secretive or something. But choose people you want to talk about, because there's danger out there when you are into crypto, whether online or offline.
2793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish Bitcoin TA - Be careful everyone ... on: September 18, 2021, 07:51:08 AM
If history repeats itself we could see a drop down to the thirties again.

Blah, blah, blah. Technical analysis is about probabilities, not certainties, and it fails constantly. Yesterday or the day before yesterday I saw an analysis saying that as we cross the golden cross, we are going to start going up to $200K or thereabouts. I look at technical analysis for entertainment, but as a long term investor it doesn't affect me. I know that Bitcoin in 5 and 10 years is going to be much higher than it is now, so what it does in the next month doesn't matter to me.

In short, long term holders are not affected by this so called experts because, obviously, they just invest their money and look at it in 5-10 years. Others might have forgotten that they have invested after all.

I'm saying a good run today though, very weird, it's weekend, it's supposed to be slow day but the price goes to $48,500. Another indication that it's hard to call the market even at short term.
2794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 06:34:45 AM
Weird. If that's the case then there's no team is interested in him? Or Sixers just needs a much bigger deal since that Simmons.
It's the big deal that they want if you consider how Daryl Morey does his things. i.e. Harden, CP3 (Houston Rockets years)
He was even called the King of Transactions.  Grin

Sixers need to think twice. Several potential first-round picks will do. It's not healthy anymore for Simmons to stay with the Sixers.
They are patient and I think they are trying to marinate the idea of a trade that will make other teams surrender one of their top players in exchange for Ben Simmons. They don't want to waste the opportunity of a large scale trade and that means an eye for an eye but in this case a star for a star trade.
Now the problem, who are the star players that are still available for a trade and it should be in the guard position because that is the hole the 76ers need to fill.

Maybe Sixers already received a good trade proposal that's only good on our views but not on them.

Likely, they are expecting a superstar level to land on the team in exchange for Ben Simmons but no offer until now but only receiving All-Star levels or a package that is composed of 2-3 players.

Sixers have to make it rush since it may come up to the point that no teams will give much more decent offers compare to the current ones. Hard to speculate this as no reports or leaks about some trade proposals involving him.

All trade regarding Ben is still a rumor and speculation from all of us.

Yeah, I do agree that Sixers need to pull the trigger before it's too late, before their season deteriorate before it even started. We know it's really hard to make decisions regarding Ben because maybe they wanted a star player in exchange of him and other future draft picks. But if they don't make their move before the season stars and he is still with the team, this could lead to negativity amongst the player.

I agree with @harizen, "Trust the Process" is not working, some things will need to change.
2795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 18, 2021, 01:38:46 AM
What do you think? Will Dogecoin be able to survive without Elon Musk? Or will it simply vanish like the rest of the other "shitcoins" on the market? Is the DOGE hype over? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

It will definitely survived, it has even without Elon for many years, becoming the meme coins of crypto.

But we all know what Elon Musk did for Dogecoin, he pump the hell out of this coin and then speculators join in the fun pushing the price to all time high. But it seems the hype has died down for now, these kind of pump are not sustainable in the long run. So it will survived and will be back where it was used to be, until someone starts to pump it again, and then the market cycle continues.
2796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fidelity Makes Major Push to Launch Bitcoin ETF on: September 18, 2021, 01:01:53 AM
So I will not be surprised if we see another rejection, back in 2017-2018 there was a lot of hype around and people saying that it will turn the market into a bullish phase. And years past, still SEC are not willing to give us any ETF and their reason will still be the same.

And yet the market has already turned bullish since then. I remember way back in 2017-2018 that the battle for Bitcoin ETF in the US was all over the news. It was full of hype. The hype died down without a single application approved. I think that by the time a Bitcoin ETF in the US is approved, it wouldn't cause much hype to the market anymore. It wouldn't be the world's first, after all. Its neighboring Canada has already approved 3 Bitcoin ETFs.

Yeah, Canada has the seal of approval already, but you know, the yardstick of them all is still the US SEC. Yep, it was touted to bring the bullish market again after the huge fall in price of bitcoin after the 2017 hype, and yet without any approval, and as the market cycle changes, we got into the bullish trend without it. But just imagine today if by December we have this approval, six digits is doable before the end of the year.
2797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OpenSea admits insider trading on: September 17, 2021, 11:09:15 AM
First there was an accusations about someone from inside doing some manipulation. The alleges accusations come from someone in twitter.

And now they have admit to it? Weird in any case, are they any repercussions to the person who committed this fraud? I know that the reputation of OpenSea is on the line here, but not sure if they really value it or not. Will the next competitor take advantage of this situation?
2798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIB the new tough competitor to DOGE on: September 17, 2021, 05:51:15 AM
Here we go SHIB is now listed in coinbase which is absolutely a great news now the game changer Elon Musk might play a drama to make people fool in upcoming days, probabilities are high because that's what he did for doge coin too. Meme coin became a rockstar over a couple of months and I guess now it's the turn for SHIB coin, guys make use of opportunities it's a rare chance in my opinion go for it if you want to see you as a millionaire.

Good for bagholders of SHIB, yeah it might be a good competitor to DOGE, so the war starts now.

However, I think DOGE has an advantage because of Elon Musk, not sure if SHIB has someone influential that can sway investors to put their money on it.

Yeah, it might be a good time to fill your bags and hope that someday, SHIB will make a lot of money for you. And don't forget to take profits as well down the line, we are still in the bullish phase so expect some huge pump and dump.
2799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 17, 2021, 05:04:17 AM
The Puerto Rican might be a good prospect but he is facing somebody with much more experience and this will be a significant test for him. Sultan has not been consistent enough to become champion. He beat Casimero but then lost to Ancajas. Sultan has 5 losses but has never been knocked out. My prediction is that this will go the distance but the undefeated fighter will get the decision.
Surprisingly, he beat Casimero in 2017 and that was a good match because they both gave their best shot. With the record that Sultan have, its pretty bad for me and it will be hard to attract gamblers to place their bet on him since he is fighting a great boxer with a clean record so this will be an easy prediction for me, he might not get knock out but Caraballo will give him the taste of great boxing for sure.
That was a long time ago, imagine, it's more or less 4 years and during that time Casimero is still not under the MP promotion. Casimero really improved under MP promotion as he has great people that supports him and Manny is very supportive as well, if I'm not mistaken, Casimero has not loss a single fight yet under MP promotion.
Actually, both fighters had already improved and I hope they will not fight each other again and they just have to continue making their respective names popular in boxing sports. By the way, for those who do not know yet, Sultan is also now under MP promotion. (source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonas_Sultan)... so there's no chance that we will see a Casimero vs Sultan fight.

With the same promoter, it is unlikely that they will be fighting.
Obviously, they will look for other boxers with different promoters.
But I am interested with this upcoming fight, if Sultan can upset Caraballo.
Will being under MP promotions help him to be an excellent boxer?

Being under MP wil help him a lot as far as his career. Even him and Pacquiao could have the same trainer, it is still different though. He really need to show the world if he is capable in the world stage since he has the experience already having fought two champions in Ancajas and Casimero.

If he will take advantage of MP Promotions and delivers the goods then hopefully he can break into the US audience as well like other Filipinos under Pacquiao's banner.
2800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2022? on: September 17, 2021, 01:09:04 AM
Until now btc is still bullish. The correction that occurs is not too deep. But in the last week we saw a steady price change, I think this incident proves btc will remain stable until the end of the year. And for 2022 i think bearish will come.
when compared to 2017, the price decline that occurred a few months ago was not too severe, but most people considered the price decline to be a sign that the 2021 bull market was over. I don't know if the current bitcoin price is still in a bullish trend or has stabilized.

If the price keeps going up then obviously, we are in the bullish phase.

Lowest low: $28k, Current price: $47k-$48k. So you do the math. It shows that we have gain $20k already in the last 4 months or so. The price won't stabilized, it will just move sideways and maybe that's why you said it is somewhat stabilizing. But that's a sign that the market is undecided in a certain time frame.
