2781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: March 21, 2021, 03:46:55 AM
In this past weeks, I also thought that bull run is over for the reason that bitcoin drops 46k usd and other top altcoins' price also dropped in the market. But for now, I think we are still in bull market, just look at how bitcoin's price pumped out up to 60k usd in just a short period of time. I am hoping that bull market will still continue in the next few months.
That was always the case, we were always in the bull run, famous thing about bull run is that when you break over ATH a bit too much, you end up with a huge 20%+ drop of correction, which means that people who bought earlier sells their coins and new people buy and they will sell it when we are way above the ATH price as well. When it was 24k it dropped to 18k, when it was 41k it dropped to 28k and at 58k we dropped to 48k, same will happen when we are 100k as well for example, we will drop to under 80k as well, but that will not mean that it is a crash, it is just a correction.

The difference between bear run and correction is that there are big deals that make it go down, not just constant falling but huge leaps of falling as well, and they do not happen very quickly, corrections happen in few days, bear run lasts months until it ends, hence it is a bit different.
2782  Economy / Speculation / Re: A 70% Drop May Occur after BTC Hitting Around $68,700 on: March 20, 2021, 12:04:10 PM
The truth is, I just don't want to say this a foolishness. People are deceiving themselves by constantly losing faith in what they were hoping for, isn't it stupid? If this is the case, I am sure they will never be able to profit from this market.
Precisely! it's pure stupidity since after you believe and support then you question your assesment?

You'll  not succeed in any investment platforms if you have such kind of mentalities. If you are easy

to move by trends and other's opinion. It's very important to work with your own success, acceptance

if you failed and willingness to move forward and take another try.
Well, you guys are both right but also wrong. Speculation is wrong and should not be done, do not feel emotions and get panic and sell your coins, you are right about that part, but TA is not bullshit, I do not use TA neither when I buy because I have one thing that I do which is buying, no matter what bitcoin price is, 3k or 300k I will buy bitcoin and that is why I do not need TA for that, but I understand others who does TA, there is a logic behind it, it just shows the market sentiment and there is nothing wrong with knowing that.

I am not saying that TA will make you money or lose you money, all I am saying that it shows something and there is nothing wrong with looking at that, this is why I honestly believe that we should be not using only TA for trading and nothing else, but we should not be against others who use it neither. At the end of the day, everyone has their own methods of making money.
2783  Economy / Economics / Re: Tech companies no longer "friends" on: March 20, 2021, 09:45:46 AM
The "FAANG" (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google) are now near a monopolistic position in their core areas and they are using it to make extra profits. But the are winds of war, e.g. Apple disallowing segmentation for Facebook and Google or charging in in-app purchases to third parties.

Apart from Facebooks try with Libra, is there anyway they could start competing on the blockchain world? My take is that they should.
The original Blockchain is decentralized, and if it’s all about decentralization, then there is no way that they can be competing with each, unless they are going to be creating their own Blockchain, that’s where the competition starts. Take for example: Facebook creates their own Blockchain for other companies to make use of and it becomes big, they might start playing the same game like Apple is doing now.

Or maybe Google and Microsoft creates their own Blockchains, it’s going to also be a competition just as their search engines are a competition between the two. That’s the only way I know they will compete when it comes to Blockchain.
2784  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: March 19, 2021, 07:20:42 PM
In world, there is hierarchy, that is why some people are rich, some are average, some are not that rich but still having good living some are poor, while the poor still look at some and still appreciate life because they are poorer. I am beginning to thinking laziness can be the result of some people not having good living, while some is purely due to ignorant an lack of knowledge and exposure, some even only lack information.

I am thinking with how people is, is there a way possible for everyone to live without being poor, though their can be hierarchy but in a way no one is poor? But I am thinking it is not possible. If anything happens today that the poor are richer and got richer than the rich people, the rich people will become poor too because life is not just balance.

Economically, can there be a way people can live and no one will be poor?
That is not going to be possible, and I am saying that because there are so many reasons why someone can be poor. That someone is rich today doesn’t mean his children are going to be rich tomorrow, his children can still end up being poor or average because of the reasons you have listed which is that lack of knowledge that is disturbing some of them.

As humans our characteristics differs, there are people who are wise enough and they know what to do, they have the knowledge to do that and when they are applying that knowledge it is working for them, while others are lazy or have got to knowledge at all. So someone being rich or poor can be because of one reason or the other.
2785  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin could win the currency war on: March 19, 2021, 06:41:37 PM
There is both right and wrong statements in both of your approach. Bitcoin is seen as money because it is spent in some places, but it is also seen as money because even if people end up not being able to spend it directly, they just hold it as money on their wallets and when they need to spend it on something that doesn't take bitcoin they exchange it to fiat and spend it that way, but that is not because they do not see it as money but because the place they buy things from do not see it, there are tons of people who would use bitcoin forever and never fiat if that was an option, there are millions of us.
Bitcoins only are considered as money till they have value on exchanges and there is a way to sell/exchange them for something useful. There won't be a single supporter of bitcoins I can assure you if the price drops and becomes zero suddenly, I know that won't happen ever but just imagine why will people hold coins if they are of no value.

People want to live on crypto because some of them want to avoid and evade tax, which I am not saying is wrong, but that is the reason behind living on crypto. I don't see a difference in having $100 in my bank or $100 in my bitcoin wallet.

For a European buying dollars because dollar may increase in value versus euro could be both money that is spent but also speculative asset as well.
Very well said, every coin or asset we buy has speculations whether it can grow or collapse and the recent growth of Bitcoins has something to do with the fear about economic failure being expected after the coronavirus as more money was printed which eventually brings the economy down.
2786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 19, 2021, 05:16:53 AM
There's no fate, it's all math!
Your words were highly catchy I couldn't stop myself quoting them and replying you back.
Are you a self-made millionaire or may be billionaire?
If it is all a game of math, you must be a scholar in it who knows how to 'count' the cards and win in all types of casino games? I doubt you have ever lost even once in your life.  Roll Eyes
Haha, it is a mixture of fate and chances. By "all maths" he didn't mean that one who can count cards will always win. He meant that because of the edge casinos get against players, chances are players will lose because the house has 2 advantages, bigger bankroll than players and the edge.

if he wins, he can praise himself or just tell that it is his day and it's just a full luck and fate made him feel good at the day of winning. Whatever you call it, as long as you're gambling responsibly and you're not blaming your losses with anyone with whatever strategy you're coming up.
Strategies player makes are the funniest thing to me. You can make any strategy and win/lose because the chances of winning and losing each bet is separate and isolated. If you have lost 1 million bets in a row or lost the last bet only, the chances of winning/losing the next bet are again reset and isolated from other results in past.

Call it math when you lose and fate when you win. But don't lose too much and have control over your addiction.
2787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 18, 2021, 07:08:49 PM
You must have forgotten that Barcelona still have a chance to win the trophy in the Copa Del Rey against Bilbao in the final at 17/4. I am sure they will secure the trophy.
Win the Copa del Rey is more realistic target for Barcelona. They have to win the final and the opponent is Bilbao.
Copa del rey is definitely a possible win for Barcelona, that would be "easy" for them, obviosly its football and we may not know until the last whistle but only one game left with Bilbao as opponent so it looks quite possible. However we are talking about just 4 point difference in la liga as well, that doesn't look that difficult for barcelona neither, we are talking about something that barcelona can do, they are definitely a great team. This is la liga, the league for real and barca, so those two will do everything in their power to win the title.

I do not think that anything is out of reach yet, it is still playing and nearly 30 points left so 4 out of 30 is not a big deal for them, they could get it. Real Madrid was a bit more lucky, ATM lost to chelsea which is understandable but there were easier opponents as well, Barcelona lost to PSG which was finalist last year, Real Madrid beat atalanta, give ATM atalanta and they would have moved up as well.
2788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Are The Top Altcoins For Investments In 2021 on: March 18, 2021, 06:17:28 PM
NEO is one of the coins that has disappointed many people, actually I expected it a lot of its growth rates are very slow compared to other altcoins, or it may bring surprises in time next time it looks like BNB did.
- I'm just afraid that your expectations will be exchanged for a disappointmentn when you are faced with the fact that NEO has lost its crown, maybe many people still think about the good past and feel that NEO is still competitive in this era but the void surrounding it has been filled with various projects. The technology market changed so quickly in just a short time, look at BNB, it used to be weaker than NEO but right now, the superiority plus the advertising network is very good, it easily outstripped NEO by an unbelievable distance
I agree that NEO is long gone, back in the day when it first started and during ICO period, ETH was seen as the number one coin that everyone used for ICO and NEO was seen as the second one, people got paid gas fee for just holding it, having NEO on your binance account meant that you were getting paid constantly, that is why many people used it, but the reality is that we are looking at what those coins are doing and there is nothing that could be compared, it is still not near that ETH level and it grew smaller and smaller after we got into bear.

During this bull run it didn't get closer neither, BNB did get closer, and with another x5 or so we are talking about even being around it, but at the current moment BNB is much better than NEO, even things like avax, link, dot are still better than NEO if you want to invest. It was really unfortunate what happened to it.
2789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Simple Question - Your investing Strategy on: March 18, 2021, 05:17:53 PM
investing in one coin, you definitely want to get a profit right?
well if you want to follow market conditions, buy when the market is down on coins that have the potential to get a 50% profit at least when the market is high later

This strategy has been used by many traders I think
Indeed a very common metric used by traders. The problem sometimes with this strategy is that you get carried away by a bull or bear run and make timid decisions. For example, a lot of people sold when the price for Bitcoins dropped after reaching around $50k because they thought a bear run will follow next but they were wrong. The Bitcoin market is just too unpredictable and volatile so I rather suggest either you trade very small variance like $500 ups and downs or just invest for the long term.

Personally, I believe the best possible way to make easy money in crypto is by investing in solid upcoming projects like PolkaDot and Cardano and even BNB, risk is there that they might never gain the expected value, but the chances of profits are higher than trying to successfully accomplish day trading in this volatile market.
2790  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: March 17, 2021, 05:25:38 PM
Also, luck is completely random. You don't get extra lucky just because you gamble for fun. If this was the case, so many gamblers would quit gambling seriously asap.
Yeah, luck is random but when you are playing for fun you avoid a lot of potential mistakes like you would not chase your losses and don't get emotional about your losses which might actually help you win next time instead of busting everything within a single unlucky day.

I think one can always remain in profit/green if they just use all the cool promotions that stake offers because if you participate in all of them and check, you should be in profit overall then. Lots of forum giveaways are there plus you can get lucky on weekends if the VIP manager picks you. Maybe that is why stake uses the tagline "Bet Smarter".

I don't like some of the recent changes in the VIP system but they have the power to change it for maintaining scalability I think.
2791  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: March 17, 2021, 03:35:34 PM
Athletes will ask themselves whether it is really worth taking part in corruption. When a tie is enough for 2 teams to make it to the next round of a tournament, you may wonder if that is corruption.
If two teams decide to play a tie intentionally then I believe it is indeed corruption and match fixing because any event that is played must have its integrity maintained and if players are throwing a game intentionally, if even because the team eventually benefits from it, it's just wrong and categorized as match fixing.

There was such an instance in badminton and you might want to read the article: How players intentionally tried to lose matches to gain an advantage

As long as the result of any match is determined without competitive action with an intention to win, I believe it's corruption.
2792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without experience and knowledge on: March 17, 2021, 12:33:43 PM
What you are mentioning is a recipe for a disastrous and debt-ridden life, knowledge is power always remember that and experience is what shapes you in that career which can resolved by trading itself, having no knowledge though will make you do uninformed decision and most of the time stupid ones that will cause you some money. Always learn and gain knowledge, experience can be acquired through doing the thing but doing without knowledge will be difficult for you to gain experience, they go hand in hand.
That's right, if you have no knowledge and no experience that means you are swimming with the sharks with no cage and very hungry sharks as well, in this case more like whales. If anyone wants to make any profit from trading they have to realize that the best way to do it would be to learn, learning will provide you with a lot of profit in later stages, one way or another, it might be very quick or it might be very late but you will profit from learning and that takes time, there are no shortcuts, there are no ways to just learn a quick scheme to make money, you have to actually spend time to learn.

After you learned, you start trading small time and you gain experience, the more you trade the more you profit and that is how you profit. That is why both of these are very important for anyone that wants to make profit from trading crypto currencies.
2793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading from Scratch on: March 17, 2021, 08:12:39 AM
The first thing you need to get started trading bitcoin is to open a bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin traders are actively seeking the best possible solutions for trading and investing in bitcoin.

These bitcoin strategies can also be used for trading bitcoin cash as well as other cryptocurrencies. In fact, you can use this as a trade guide for any type of trading instrument.
The method to employ are simple. Diversify your trades. ...
Minimize trading costs. ...Watch Trading times. ... Make sure to follow Bitcoin News. ... The use of technical analysis is essential. ... Finally, use stop losses.
It’s not just about saying that you’re going to diversifying your assets, because you can still diversify your assets and the market will still continue to fall for the assets you have invested. Although I do understand that the reason why a lot of people like to diversify is because they believe that if other assets are going down then, then one, two or more will be increasing in value, but how sure are you that one asset that is increasing will help you to recover the losses you’re going to be encountering with the fall of the other assets on your portfolio?

So, it’s not really just about buying so many coins and keeping , you have to be very careful of the coins you’re going to b choosing because anything can happen, the market can fall at anytime.
2794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 16, 2021, 12:25:25 PM
Now I also think Bayern Munich will continue to dominate this season. We saw some chance of Leipzig winning the title. Leipzig 4 points behind. Every point is very important for Leipzig, as Bayern Munich is in the form, they will not lose too many points. If Leipzig can win against Bayern, their chances of winning the title will increase. But I don't think Leipzig will be able to beat Bayern Munich.
Bayern have stumbled a few times this season. But the problem is that the other teams haven't taken advantage of that.
Bayern stumbled only a few times whole season, they have lost 18 points or something total, and "other teams taking advantage" would mean that they would have to end up losing less points than that, which is why I think that is a bit much to ask from those teams.

I do agree that Bayern lost more than I imagined, that's true, but it is not also simple to just win every game for other teams as well. Look at what Leipzig just did, they were so close to Bayern and could even go higher with one Bayern loss, but instead they got a draw and now they are 2 game difference level instead. That is why I think it is quite important to realize that what Bayern is doing is awesome, even on those rare occasions they lose points, they are not doing it that commonly which is why they are once again ahead of everyone else, they are really looking like a machine out there.

Wow, you seem to be quite lucky these days. Unfortunately, I have not got the Highest Satoshis in the Wheel of fortune lately.
I have stopped playing the multiply btc these days since I lost all my Sats the last time and transaction fees are skyrocketing these days.
Will probably wait for the market to settle before making the next deposit and get back at betting and the multiply btc game.
Yeah the luck is on my side currently  Grin. Keep spinning the wheel and with some luck, you will also win some higher prizes.
I never play on the multiply btc game, I prefer betting. Planning to make some new bets on 'BTC price for march' but will wait a couple of days before placing these.
I am just the opposite, I do not prefer betting because it takes too much time and while gambling I do not prefer to wait a month to get the results of my bet, in your case at least 15 more days, that seems like too much waiting time for me. I do not even gamble on matches that are few days away, I do gamble on that days games though, but in some other place that is a sportsbook.

Here however, I gamble with regular dice game a lot, whatever I have here I gamble that away, until it is finished, in dice game, I never have too much here, and all of my money comes from affiliate income so I am not worried and not losing anything from my pocket (technically) so it is really fun to lose it all on dice in few hours once every week. It also allowed me to have a huge base as well, last I remember it was something like 40 satoshi if I am not wrong, I do not use it much but it is a good feeling to know that.
2796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 16, 2021, 08:31:10 AM
Lowry indeed a good back up, he always supporting his star caliber teammate,

Way back when Derozan was the star of Toronto and when Kawhai went their and bring them the title, Lowry just deal with it and didn't interrupt to any game plan, He's  a star on his own and bringing him either to Miami or Philadelphia he'll bring impact for sure, a very great addition to make the team more competitive.
I didn't even know Lowry was on the trading block, I mean Toronto is doing fine, sure they may not get another ring but if they keep playing this way and can somehow land one superstar they could still get lucky right? I mean look at what happened on their championship year, they were just a team that kept losing to Lebron constantly every single year and one year they got Kawhi (lost derozan though) and they ended up winning the title that year.

This is why I think it is not really that understandable that trading Lowry would somehow benefit them, they would logically tank with that trade and rebuild, and if not they would have to seriously get something good out of it so that they could stay at this level and I do not think that anyone would give any decent level player for Lowry right now, everyone has all their pieces and giving a big name would be bad business, so it would be basically some semi-ok player plus some picks probably.
2797  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there subject to study Cryptocurrency ? on: March 16, 2021, 06:33:16 AM
For now we have to rely on this one but maybe someday we can see a major that is focused on cryptocurrency but right now, we lack the resources to provide an efficient teaching about cryptocurrency. Based on my experience in college, I think that the closest there is to cryptocurrency related topics is in the Business and Economics based courses, I might be wrong but you can check it out.
It depends on where you look at it, if you ask me software developers are learning about crypto better than business people, why? Because crypto is as technical as it is financial as well, you may see it as something you buy and sell and make money but some other people could see it as a software that they could fork and build something better, if there were no developers we wouldn't have bitcoin, and we wouldn't have any other altcoin neither, it was those developers that saw the technology and built something better.

Look at the defi world right now, people are building newer and newer stuff constantly, that is why I think it is quite obvious that we should be considering tech part of crypto as well. Obviously none of them alone makes any sense, it is a double edged thing and both business and software plays a big role in crypto as a whole.
2798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will ETH be worth ten years from now? on: March 15, 2021, 06:45:41 PM
We are hearing about the ETH 2.0 upgrade for a very long time and despite all the promises and hype the investors are not seeing any changes in the transaction charges yet and all the projects under their platform are undergoing a lot of stress because of the high transaction fees and projects like BSC owned by Binance is already luring the developers to migrate to their chain and it will affect the price of ETH and there is no clarity regarding when the transaction charges will be back to normal.
I am not planning on ethereum to take the place for bitcoin, in fact I do not even have any worry if it will stay second or not, it can drop all I care. You know what I care? I want to see ethereum go up like bitcoin did, that's all I care about. In 10 years time bitcoin moved from just a small hobby thing into a 1+ trillion dollar thing, ethereum lived a 5 year or so life so far as well so we can't say that it is new, but I want to see 1+ trillion from ethereum in the next 5 years to be like bitcoin, and after that it is all increases.

It means in 10 years I think if ethereum is anything like bitcoin, that means we should see an 8k like price, and if that happens we can see 20k+ broken by 10 years and even more. That is on the small scale by the way, I do not expect the price to be this low, I think it will be much bigger, near 50k levels in 10 years, but I wanted to share what I think will happen at minimum.
2799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best investment advice for everyone this 2021 on: March 14, 2021, 02:50:49 AM
The Best advice i have is do your own research, if you dont understand it, dont invest in it, its better to miss out than to loose your money.
Agree, with this statement because more often than not investors are victims of hype and the FOMO that is created by fake members in telegram groups and some paid articles which will make the reader feel like he might be missing a huge opportunity.

Better to buy a token at 10 cents after the sale is over, which was 5 cents during the sale. It at least allows you to see how the team is performing after the sale and if there is work being done or they were just interested in raising money.

Some of the sales have a very simple formula - Raise money --> Pay a small exchange to list their token --> Once listed, market is dumped by bounty or investors. They will then repeat the same with another project under a new name.
2800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much did you make in Bitcoin trading? on: March 14, 2021, 02:05:41 AM
Not much, but I managed to earn something. It could have been much more, but difficult times forced me to withdraw some of the profits of btc, although I do not know if this is an excuse.
I don't think you should have any regrets and look I am not trying to tell you how you should trade but from my own experience, feeling good about even the worst trades you made, will only boost your morale and give more confidence in your next trades. Having a negative mindset and feeling of regret doesn't let you trade freely.

If I were smarter, I would have found another way to get money, and leave the btc until the best moment.
You could have actually taken a loan in USD by putting your Bitcoin as collateral under a trusted lender and then once you had your money problems sorted, you could have paid back or even if you had to pay back from the Bitcoins itself, you still would have got a way better value for the same amount of Bitcoins. But it's all in hindsight so I don't think you should feel down because of it.
