2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: June 26, 2021, 11:46:51 PM
The reason i think Lomachenko lost the fight against Lopez is because he was really slow in the first few rounds and it looks like he was taking it too easy and was confident in finishing the fight in the later rounds and if he is not making that mistake it is impossible to defeat Lomachenko and i would love to see the rematch between Lopez and Lomachenko which means i am expecting a victory here.

IMO, I don't think he was slow, he was just cautious and giving too much respect to Lopez that is why Lopez got most of the rounds in the early stage of that fight but I still do think that it's not a convincing win by Lopes. That fight could go either way, depending on the judges.

Today's fight is just anything roadblock for Loma to redeem himself and have that rematch with Lopez and I think he will have no problem getting it done.

A rematch with Lopez is a big fight this year, next to Manny vs Spence.

I got the Clippers in game 4.

I have a feeling that they'll be able to even the series by playing the same intensity they've shown in game 3.
There's no much spread movement, so it's still good to take the ML for the home team.

I'm taking the under 218 and Clippers ML. Good luck everyone!

Same here, I'm tailing on the Clippers to win game 4, that's the only bet, for now, I don't want to bet on the total as I find the winner/loser more interesting. I'm watching this game with my family, we will have a fun Sunday especially if the Clippers will win.

I've lost my bet on game3 as I thought that a Chris Paul comeback would bring more problems for the Clippers but I'm wrong, playoff Paul George did show up and had a monster game3. I'm just going to tail you guys and won't waste any time thinking on whose gonna win tonight hehe.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said the possibility of having fans in attendance during games could happen as long as those coming into the playing venues are vaccinated.
The PBA is still seeking approval from the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases for its proposed July start for the 2021-22 season, and Marcial said that they’d study the prospect of having fans inside the venues once they get the nod from the government.

So, if approve then we could see the start of the 46th PBA this coming July and the good news is if you vaccinated then you can watch the game live in the venue just like in the NBA.

I think no more bubble set-up for the PBA this as it's very costly to operate, they will just wait for the vaccination to roll out and will even use its players to convince people to be vaccinated for us to be safe from covid and we will be back to normal once again if 70 percent of the population are vaccinated.

@bisdak40 - any livestreaming site bro?

Unfortunately, there is none as of the moment mate. The crack site that I used to follow for boxing live streams is not updated and it seems they were taken down  Sad.

In fights like this, I search on FB if there is someone who broadcast the fight live.

I have now pulled the trigger, Loma by Decision @2.06  Smiley.

Good luck to all and let's enjoy this Loma comeback.
2785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: June 25, 2021, 01:59:34 PM
Obviously, he is not 100% in the Lopez fight, but he doesn't want to cancel it and makes excuses. So he continue even though that he has a shoulder injury. Now that it is operate and heal maybe we can see the old version of Loma, who moves a lot and uses awkward angles to throw his opponent off-balance. So I'm expecting him to win against a very game Nakatani here and then setup a rematch with Teo Lopez to try and redeem himself and prove once again that he is the king of this division.

I do hope that the injuries that he have on the Lopez fight have fully healed now as to not give excuses if ever an upset may occur but I doubt it will happen  Smiley.

Below are some options on how to bet for the upcoming fight and I will go with Loma via Decision as that Japanese is a tough nut to crack and that odds is attractive enough AFAIC.

2786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 24, 2021, 12:28:55 PM
We are about to end this month and there's still no clear update as to when the PBA season will commence.

I'm a bit bored already, I like to see some action and why aren't they making news or update regarding the new season.
Our eyes are focus on the FIBA ASIA qualifier, but we also like to see the PBA start its season as I believe they have started practicing for almost a month already.

No news in their official website, anyone had some rumors from other sources?

There's an article on the FB page of somebody that posted all about PBA and he said that in a few days, IATF will tackle the plea of the PBA commissioner's office about the possible opening next month. I just forget where that page is but I think there is some truth to it as NCR is now declared a low risk area so restrictions will also ease up.

Don't be bored mate, there's still the ongoing NBA playoffs happening.  Grin

Hawks not only cover but hit the money line dam.  Not a Trae fan since he dismantled my knicks but the dude absolutely killed it.  The shoulder shimmy 3pt was cold.

Yeah, and that 2 free throws to seal the win? ice cold. He also had a back board alley-oop to Collins.

What's with the Hawks that made them win games in the playoffs  Grin? On paper, they seemed the huge underdog because of the lack of size but it does not translate correctly on the court that is why i'm losing some coins betting against them lol.

Now, game 3 between Clippers vs Suns, Clippers now 2.02 ML, very attractive odds. But since CP3 is reported to be back in the line-up, it will be hard for the Clippers to win even if it is in their home court.

With CP3's expected return on game3, i think the Clippers would be in trouble as the Suns backcourt general could dismantle them sans Kawhi Leonard. Game2 was the best time for the Clippers to win against the Suns but they blew that up.

With the current odds, i'm rooting for the Suns to put the Clippers in the 0-3 hole.
2788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 24, 2021, 08:21:28 AM
At 32 years old Casimero does not have the most impressive career compared to a hall of famer like Donaire. This will be his opportunity to live up to his own hype. He's been very vocal about wanting to fight Inoue and now is his opportunity to earn that fight. The height and experience advantage of Donaire will be difficult to overcome. I haven't seen odds yet but I assume most people will bet on Donaire.

Most probably, that would be the case, Donaire will be the favorite to win this fight as he is more popular than Casimero and with his recent win against Oubaali, his stocks went a little notch north.

Personally, i'm for Casimero's side here because if he wins against Donaire then Inoue would be having a hard time against him while if it's against Donaire, he would have an easier fight because he has now the experience of how the latter fight and would adjust where necessary to win convincingly.

If you look at the social media, there's a spat going on between Quadro Alas and the Filipino Flash that could fuel to this fight and somehow sell to those who are following them.

2789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 23, 2021, 10:06:16 PM
Kinda surprising because China players are tall but their NBA Player Zhou Qi didn't play in that game but overall, its a tune-up game only and it ended up as a draw.
In terms of performance though, yes it looks surprising but this just shows that the future of these young players are bright. I just hope that they will have a successful careers in basketball.

Height-wise, I think the Gilas cadets now are at par with the current Chinese roster and I'm too is surprised with their recent performance against China. Though it's only a tune-up game still it boosts the morale and confidence of these young cagers.

There are players from both sides that didn't suit for that game because it's only an exhibition match, the only thing that the cadets gained from that is the experience that they have played against a powerhouse of Asia because they might not meet them in the qualifiers.

2790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 23, 2021, 11:23:24 AM
^^ Thanks for the tips, I was just looking at the odds before the game, and thinking the over will be a good bet here. Over 222.5 is currently at @1.91 so that's a juicy odd already, so I'm going to go with the same bet as yours.

Although without Kawhi, it seems that Clippers have settled down with Paul George as the leading and then Reggie Jackson as the second option now. I think the key for them to win and stop that winning streak of the Suns is how to stop Devin Booker who is tearing them with his mid jump shot and assists.

That was a low-scoring game as defense on Booker is intense but still, they won via that alley-oop to DA.

Damn, I could not believe that a superstar's knees would buckle under pressure, missing two clutch free throws that could have sealed the win for the Clippers, I think this will haunt Paul George if they will lose the series  Smiley.

El Presidente’ urges SBP to keep Gilas core for Fiba 2023

Quote
BASKETBALL legend Ramon Fernandez believes keeping the young core of the Gilas Pilipinas team will be to the benefit of the country’s campaign in the Fiba World Cup two years from now.

Not that he’s disregarding the significant help PBA players could offer to the national team, but the 67-year-old Philippine Sports Commissioner said it would be better to just focus on working on the cohesion and chemistry of this same unit that just completed a six-game sweep of all its games in the qualifiers for the Fiba Asia Cup.

What can you say about this? would you agree with Ramon Fernandez here?
IMO, I think we should give them a chance, do not replace them with PBA players as they have already proven their worth.

I don't agree with Don Ramon with his idea of sending an All-Cadets to the World Fiba Cup.

We've been humiliated by Serbia last time and the coach even insulted the Gilas team to which he said that the Gilas does not deserve to be in that stage with them, how much more if it is an all cadets team.

We are 6-0 at the moment but remember who are we facing on that games, it is only South Korea who are a tough team. The higher stage we are in, the tougher the opponent we will face. For sure we will lose against the Australians and to the Iranians as they are more gifted than us, height-wise. If the cadets will lose two games against tougher opponents, that's where the talks of having veterans on the squad would come in.
2792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: June 22, 2021, 12:53:31 PM

Even he doesn't have a fight for two long years, he never stopped in maintaining his physique and it's already part of his life and routine to have training but it's totally different if there's a match. Most that he can will be into it and he's not underestimating his opponent for real but only in words.

That was not a disadvantage on his part, he said that the long rest helped him to recover and we will surely see a conditioned Manny comes August 21 against Spence. We never see him unconditioned when he stepped up in the ring, In the last fight maybe he got tired because he is not getting any younger, but still that is overshadowed by the success since he won by a split decision.
Manny will do everything to win because this will be part of His advance campaigning for His political career in Philippines , and also there are rumors that Mafia is interfering from His fight so maybe they will participate again this time to favor manny.

this is also the reason why Boxing nowadays are getting lesser fans because of the issues happening inside the system.

Win or lose, Manny is guaranteed to receive almost a billion Philippine Peso, this amount is so huge that it's a big help to his ambition to become the next President of the Philippines as he is very serious about getting that seat.

Mafia inside boxing? Well that's a big accusation to prove but seeing what have happened in recent years with those controversial decisions, there might some truth in it.
2793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 22, 2021, 12:42:02 PM
Joining the fun and voted for Donaire. Nonito seems to be the sentimental favorite amongst Filipino and non-Filipino boxing fans here. Maybe it was because he is really that good and has a chance against Inoue who beat a hapless Dasmarinas or he is well love.

But Casimero is also a beast in this division, and he has been calling Inoue since last year, actually they supposed to fight but due to covid and then scheduling conflict the fight didn't materialized.
It's not just the sentimental value that Donaire has with Filipino fans that makes him a favorite pick in this fight, remember that he is a skilled fighter that is raging the ring back then together with Pacquiao and Donaire has the skill to show for, Casimero is a good fighter too but given the achievements that Donaire has, he is absolutely outshoned.

It's no surprise that Donaire is leading the poll in this forum as he is more popular than Casimero but with regards to who will win, I voted for Casimero as I think that the latter is more agile than Donaire in this stage.

It is interesting who will the bookies put as an underdog in this fight. Experience and achievement may be on the side of Donaire but he is in the twilight of his career though he won against Oubaali but against Casimero, that killer left hook of him will be closely watched by Casimero.
2794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 22, 2021, 11:07:08 AM
I personally think that Clippers played a hell of a game in Game 1 without Kawhi and in front of a Phoenix home crowd. And they were within striking distance the whole game with Devin Booker's 40 pt triple double.

They have enough talent and championship pedigree in Rondo to pull an upset against Phoenix imo.

With the odds on offer right now, Clippers series/championship ML might be worth a buy even if you're not a fan of the team.

Agree and game2 would be the best chance for the Clippers to steal the home-court advantage as they will have their adjustments in place.

Still without Chris Paul for the game tomorrow, I think the Clippers will steal game2 as Booker will be a marked man.

Clippers @2.75 ML is very attractive so I'm going for that.
2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 21, 2021, 10:02:53 PM
The Philippines is not expected to win all the way, but beating a good team like SoKOR is already a great achievement as they have been beating us before. We send a team that is not even popular, not mature enough, or has a big experience in international games, but here we are now, we are winning and proving to the world the Basketball in the Philippines keeps improving.

Indeed, a win against South Korea is already a great achievement for these young fellows and they did not do it once but twice, that is not a fluke.

These cadets would have a difficult time if they face teams like Iran or Australia and I don't expect them to win against those teams I've mentioned but they are already deserving to be in the final roster with their performance against SoKor, though this is not possible as we all know that the final roster would have some veterans in it and possibly an NBA star in Jordan Clarkson.
2796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 20, 2021, 01:36:56 PM
I was not able to watch the game, I was busy today but I'm happy that the Philippines have won twice against the South Korea team. It's not luck anymore, what we witnessed is their real skills, they are just underestimated and South Korea might have regret when they said Philippines only won by luck.

This batch of Gilas cadets has a very bright future in terms of representing the Philippines in the FIBA competition. Personally, I was thinking that their first win against South Korea is a mix of talent and luck hehe.

If I'm not wrong this batch of cadets has the highest height average and most of them are athletic enough to defend the Koreans bombardment in the three-point area.

And we should not also forgot the coaching staff who orchestrated all the plays that made this win possible, especially to coach Tab Baldwin.
2797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: June 19, 2021, 09:31:59 PM
Looks like this fight isn't happening and instead it will be Nonito Donaire facing Casimero.
https://www.boxingscene.com/donaire-replaces-rigondeaux-face-casimero-118-pound-unification-fight-august-14--158519

This is a more interesting fight because it will be a unification and it is between two Filipino fighters.

Ohh man, i just can't believe this is happening. Unlike Mexicans, there is not a lot of Filipino champions in boxing so this is big news in the Philippines.

If this is the path to unifying the 118lbs belt then i think i would go for Quadro Alas here because of youth, that's all.

You guys believe that Top Rank got a hand of this?  Grin

This is advantageous to Inoue as he will only be fighting once to unify the belt, not twice anymore.

@Baofeng Japinat, need to change the title of the thread bro hehe.
2798  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 19, 2021, 12:48:39 PM
Ngayong tapos na sa West, sino napipisil niyo Finals sa East? Parang nangangamoy Sixers at Bucks eh.

2799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 19, 2021, 01:46:53 AM
76ers vs Hawks. Looks like Hawks won't win this one but they should be weary about 76ers offense. Too uncertainty so I'm not taking any bets for this one.

Four consecutive 3's to start the second half for the Sixers that make them take the lead. Seth Curry is hot and keeping them afloat in this ballgame.

Don't know with Simmons, maybe they have to trade him because he became a liability when games got close in the end, can't hit those damn free throws.
2800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 18, 2021, 12:01:20 PM
I also put my bet on the Philippines to win and cover that high spread. I just want something to enjoy while watching the game and I cannot allow no-bet for this game. lol.

Good luck to the Philippines and to my bet.  Grin

Congrats on the win bro, that's pretty close. It's just in the fourth quarter did the Gilas pulled away from Indonesia, what a thrilling game if you watched it live and made that kind of bet.

I did not bet for them right now as my confidence for Gilas in this tournament is low, I mean they can win against Indonesia but not a blowout win, thanks God I'm wrong hehe.

Next stop would be a rematch against South Korea, I think the odds would be close and if you are a Gilas hater, good time to bet lol.
