How do you reconcile the high number of supporters with the very low hashrate of the coin? It just doesn't add up?
CoinChoose... People think they get rich by hopping over from most profitable coin to most profitable coin and then dumping them on a low volume exchange where they actually loose money because they can't dump for the price they thought they can. They are not in for the long term, they don't have strong hands, they mine and sell dump, making a few bucks to pay for electricity and a Budweiser. And after a few months they complain "I wish I had 2000 of these coins, I'm so unlucky  ". Phenix hasn't even started yet, the project has some great things coming and now there is a developer merge between PXC, FTC and WDC too, so more places to spend for those 3 coins |

Its only perception to drive their own respective prices up from people thinking that this new 'merged' partnership means anything. It really just means they are now buddies and if they need a hand they will lend one... Nothing to overreact to and mortgage out a house for.
Sorry to put a dampener on the party but this is getting out of control.

And, if the premine is to "pump & dump" they're pretty lousy at it. They should have done that when PXC was at 0.00035 Maybe they did a small part of their premined stash. Maybe they are smarter than the average idiot out there looking for a quick buck and knows dumping at Cryptsy is just a waste. Maybe they are trying to build services and make it useful to be millionaires (which I don't begrudge, btw). Maybe they are just laughing seeing all the dedicated fellows like you being hoodwinked. Maybe they are just in for the success and will donate everything and live under the bridge. None of us know anything. You trust in them which is nice to see though. They gave me reasons to trust them They saved my ass many times when I screwed up at the escrow, when the pool didn't pay out correctly, when I had a question, etc. They show professionalism, dedication and I have seen some of their projects in beta, it's looking amazing! I don't think you can really trust anyone on a forum but if have to put my trust and support somewhere, I put it in JohnCar, Iamatrix and JeanCool I don't know too much about JhonCar and Iamatrix but JeanCool is really a trustable and professional person with great communication skills. When he was added in PXC team I got relaxed. Yup, I consider JeanCool a great asset for PXC too |

Thats the point. Every new coin nowadays worths as much as the ppl trust in it. I like what I have seen so far from the devs. More apps and sites coming soon, they are doing great job. Do you remember LTC from last year?...  So its worth to be patient. I bought lots of other coins, however my budget is not so big. Some of them plunged, some of them are still alive. I treat all of this crypto-something as a long term investment. Yup, strong hands here too |

Wow, so the premined coins are still 39% of the total?  Is there a tally somewhere of how these were spent/are earmarked to benefit the project? Here is the answer then. Took me 2 mins to search it. And yes its not my thread but i think im part of this community so have the right to write here, as you and as anybody else. I saw that, it's not a tally, it doesn't say how many coins have been or are to be spent on each thing. Coins that are justifiably premined often have such a thing in their OP. Openness and transparency is a good move if you've premined for good reasons. I know the developers use the company-coins for freeroles, etc. They also use them to close deals for coming applications. They put a huge ammount of effort, time and support in this coin. Even if they sell all their coins now (with low market volume) it wouldn't even pay for their expenses. It assures me a bit that they have a lot of coins, if they want to earn back their investment, they have to make this coin big and that's great news for people holding a lot of PXC too And looking at the latest development, like the merge of 3 coins for future development, shows real professionalism and a long term vision At this time, I don't think they can disclose what the premine is used for (it would give away too much info about coming applications and deals) but I think they would specify it if you ask it again in about 1 or 2 months And, if the premine is to "pump & dump" they're pretty lousy at it. Great to hear PXC, WDC and FTC united their forces in development! More places coming to spend your coins! I support this I always supported FTC and PXC, don't have a lot of WDC (soon gonna change ) but I like the way it's supported. |

Question is: is merged mining possible for scrypt coins? If it is, why hasn't it been done? Or has it been done? It's great to hear these coins merge their power! They all have a friendly and enthusiastic community and FTC survived through a difficult period by that |
