2781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Options for Securing your Bitcoin wallet on: September 13, 2015, 06:09:08 AM
Very nice nice and rich sources of highly needed information for both beginners as well as the advanced bitcoin users. (Professionals themselves have these ideas). While making some bitcoins through faucets, I keep on thinking on how to secure my hardly earned bitcoins. I find the feasible answer here. Thanks for such a helpful threat.
2782  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2015, 05:42:58 PM
i spent bitcoins to buy some online service as I'm from India I did not have the option to buy through Paypal with a debit card. But at that time bitcoin was some $800+ ... Still I regret for that. Because only stupids will spend bitcoins now itself. Genius will save them for the price of 1million per bitcoin or half billion per bitcoin.
One more point for my regret I missed the chance of being included in calm-coin initial distribution because of that transaction.
2783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinwallet attack is causing backlog in the network and blockchain...hurting BTC on: September 11, 2015, 06:04:00 PM

2788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something big for Bitcoin coming April 15th on: April 04, 2015, 09:46:56 AM
Like doom day predictions, he also predict someday for bitcoin boom. I also look for someday like that to happen. Hopefully by next year when next halving occurs.
2789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] - Coinotron - VIA added to LTC, DOGE merged mining ( +2% profit ) !!!!! on: April 03, 2015, 01:42:12 PM
FYI

Today we introduced email confirmation for changing payout address. This should further enhance the safety of your coins. When you change payout address it will stay "locked" until you unlock it using special code sent to your email address.

Nice improvement. Just experienced it. And one more thing I'm unable to find the option for "forget passord" or reset password options on log-in screens. Do we need to send support ticket to reset password...
2790  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN]► Bitcoin Space faucet ◄ ► Top Highest Bitcoin Paying Faucet ◄ on: April 02, 2015, 06:22:33 PM
For me, working well. The only concern about this faucet, high pay out threshold. If it gets lowered then it would be more easier to get more ref.
2791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I trade bitcoin futures and options? on: April 01, 2015, 06:32:24 PM
I also look for a bitcoin exchange which offers bitcoin trading like forex trading. Like, leverage and short or long facilities. Most of the exchanges I use just exchange what we have, no actual trading.
2792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Not Understanding Cold storage on: April 01, 2015, 06:09:50 PM
blockchain.info itself offers cold storage address.  Receive Money-> at bottom More acrions->New Cold Storage Address. If someone explains the difference with normal address would be more useful.

From your screenshot I realize that you have closed your wallets. It needs to be re-opened. Just Go to File->Open wallet. I believe this will resolve your problem compositely. If you are unable to find a wallet file means post that again here.....
2795  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: An easy way to remember a bitcoin address on: April 01, 2015, 09:52:24 AM
I thought about how we could make a bitcoin address memorable.
Initially I thought about encoding a bitcoin address in base 2048, and reusing dictionaries of BIP39. (mnemonic)

However, a public key is 160 bit and doing so would require LOG(2^60, 2048)=15 words.
It is still hard to remember a public address.

Another way of doing so is publishing the address on the blockchain (in the output of a tx), and only remember : Block Height + Tx Index in the block + TxOut index

Such information can be encoded in 4 words with the help of a BIP39. (assuming height of 350 000, 10 000 tx per block, and 10 outputs by txout)

I intend to include that feature in the wallet I am developing, are you seeing any downside or alternative ? (Except a fork happening that would modify the address)

I don't know more about this but I think no ways is easy to remember it

Bitcoin address must be used as copycat as per bitcoin wiki. It means there is no need of remembering it. For checking whether using the correct (my address of some's address) I usually remember last 3 characters.
2796  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: April 01, 2015, 09:39:51 AM
to be honest I am waiting for 1000$ not 100$

Many early adapters substations would be like this only. Newbies alone want lower price to get into. But NO logic for the price of $100, when considering present production cost. But who knows?
2797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I keep MYSELF from spending my BTC in the next 5 years? on: April 01, 2015, 09:31:14 AM
Store/back up your bitcoins in multiple different methods and forget it. Live on other source of income and gather more bitcoin. To stop spending bitcoin, collecting it is the best way. Make a big target, till that get a resolution not to spend single satoshi.... That's all
2798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time for Plan B. #Bitcoin on: April 01, 2015, 09:22:49 AM
