2783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Hash games entertainment on: April 30, 2023, 06:53:42 PM
You are welcome to the forum. I checked the link you provided. The features of the site is very good and simpe. The developers of the site tried. But the domain is under suspicious. It doesn't look like a normal domain name. But what I can say that might make me to believe that you are serious is the copper member account. Yes as NeuroticFish said, the company information is not clear for me as well.
Because you are not the first person to come here and a project but your project need more explanation in the forum. As it is I don't think anyone will go there and deposit money and start gambling.
2784  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: April 30, 2023, 06:34:11 PM
That's why I prefer only sports betting and not gambling or casinos. It's much more difficult to rig a sports match rather than a casino game that already has a casino edge.
About slot games, I never really prefer them or enjoy them as it's bare luck or I would say you are more likely to lose in slots as compared to roullete.
That is true. Sports betting is live and there is no way someone can manipulate the game. The outcome from the match is what you get from the bet. Even all those scam accusations are from the casinos. I have not seen sports betting sites have been accused of scamming. Even if happened it is rare. The way slot games are even developed is not favorable. Casinos use 3rd party and anything 3rd party can not be trusted because they are also looking for there profit apart from the MD of the industry.
2785  Economy / Gambling discussion / I am Really tired of this Lie (India 99 - 1 Nigeria) on: April 30, 2023, 03:04:11 PM
Was it true? Or was it an Another Myth Again, it is a real myth for it own. I started hearing this story since when I was a child in the fishing camp. Elders were using the event as an "African Night Entertainment". In the evening all the children would gather in the camp square and listen to stories from elders and peer group. So this India vs Nigeria football match was also narrated that India played a football match with Nigeria and scored Nigeria with 99-1. That means India 99 - 1 Nigeria. And that made FIFA banned India from football till date.

Recently the story as started trending on social media again. Then I made some research to know the truth and when I tried to find out from online, I saw different narratives but the particular date the match was played is not mentioned in any of the articles. So I see the story as a myth and fallacy.
When I was a child, I believed the story to be true but no more. I will want the Nigerians and Indians counterparts say something on their parts of the story.

2786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What things do you study while choosing a wallet? on: April 29, 2023, 09:33:23 PM
There are a lot of cryptocurrency wallets to pay and receive payments. While you choose a wallet, what things do you consider first like technical support, transaction fees or blockchain technology and why and what is the most important thing for you? We should discuss that!

The things I consider before choosing a wallet is security, the charging rate and the popularity of the wallet. The popularity of the wallet means how many people are using the wallet. A wallet that is well reorganize with much people is not advisable to use. Like Trust Wallet can not be compared to Electrum Wallet. The best wallet from all the wallets I have used is Electrum.

I have not gotten the opportunity to use hardware wallet so I can not say any on hardware wallet. I know that they are also good to use.
2787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many bills killing crypto on: April 29, 2023, 09:22:23 PM
If the worst has come to them that are using bitcoin in USA, they should use p2p instead of exchange. Because it is only exchange they can tax and not the p2p. And whatever they are doing to kill bitcoin can not work for them again. Unless the only thing they can do to stop bitcoin is for them to control the entire blockchain plus all the wallets. If not they are just wasting their time with their careless laws.
2788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: show us your stadium visit ⚽🏈🏀🏉⚾🏏🏐🏎 on: April 29, 2023, 09:06:27 PM
These are the two stadiums I have visited in my life. I have not travelled out to another country so I can only showcase the ones I have visited.
International stadium

Local stadium

I was present in this match.

These stadiums are in my locality, mostly the second one is very close to me so I can visit it at any time.
2789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losses In Gambling That Still Haunts You Until This Day on: April 29, 2023, 07:20:14 PM
This is a rare matter. Using gambling to buy car, build house and sustain a family for a long period of time is not easy. Because one can not win every day but one can lose every day and that is gambling for you. But your one big win can give you the above mentioned and it will never be in one day.

And one thing I noticed from gamble is that, sport betting is more favorable then casino games gambling. Because in casino gambling, you gamble with systems and not with human like sport bet.
2790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About football betting on: April 29, 2023, 07:05:19 PM
You nailed it, folks! Football gambling? It's all about the team, and the house wins if they lose. But there's more to it, believe me. Sometimes, outside forces mess with the team's performance. Injuries, weather, all kinds of stuff. And the referee? They can be a game-changer.

That's gambling for you. Taking chances, fingers crossed, and hoping for the best.
Sport betting is for the whole team and not for a player. So whenever a gambler placed a bet on sport (football in particular) the supported team has to do well if not the bettor would loss his money or bet. Because in a live sport you are not betting with bot. That is why whenever you are betting a game you to look the squad of the team. If the opponent squad is better than your team at the time, bet for the best team and make your winning from there.
2791  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: April 28, 2023, 06:01:34 PM
No gambler gambles in one casino in the internet. Likewise the OP. And if nobody gamble in one site only then the gambler would know the best among the casinos he is playing around. And from there alternative gambling site would be created by the OP or any other gambler that needs alternative stake.
But if the Op needs recommendation of casinos in the forum, there are plenty. As others have suggested for you. You can try those ones and see if they are okay with you.
2792  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: April 28, 2023, 05:41:18 PM
The recent kidnapping of four Americans exposed me to the medical tourism going on in America. I have always thought that the US was a perfect country has very functional health, economic, and political systems. I thought all Americans have access to cheap and quality medical services until I read that over one million Americans go on medical tourism in Mexico yearly.

And the reason why some of them choose Mexico was because of its quality and low cost. These medical tourists are aware that it is risky to do to some parts of Mexico, but they still go there because they want to cut costs.
Is there any other reason why Americans go to Mexico for medical?
Nobody knows the human body system finished. That is why there are some incumbent president in the world also died from diseases upon all the wealth of the nation. I was also thinking the same with the OP that American has the best medical facilities to cure any disease but from what OP is say that is not true again. And as for the cost I know that Medical services in America is more higher than other countries across the globe. And another reason which I also thought that is making the Americans to visit other countries for medical services because the Americans government do not carry along the poor class (the average) in the mind. That is why cost of living is high. And those who can not afford the bills have to travel out for proper care.
2793  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Come and mine Bitcoin in Africa. on: April 28, 2023, 05:27:45 PM
It's hard to mine when it's 40-50 degrees Celsius outside. If only somewhere in the mountains, where it is not so hot.
A lot of electricity has to be spent on cooling, and building their own stations to generate electricity. Lots of extra costs.

So which of the Celsius is the best weather to mine in African soil? Africa is a cool place to mine because all the resources are there. But the only problem the mining company might face the electricity and if the company comes with their own electrical equipment then their is nothing to worry about again. There are three types of first in Africa and a mining company can select anyone (place) to settle dawn. There are Tropical Rain Forest, Savanah Forest and Mangrove Forest. And the forests are subdivided into different weather season. Rain season, cool (harmartan) season and sun (hot) season. Miners can select any of this period and start their mining.
2794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can we see how many people are attacking bitcoin network? on: April 28, 2023, 05:00:04 PM
Hackers use different computers and software to hack into sites. And ordinary computer literate can not trace the hackers systems but the expert can track down the hacker. But what I don't know is bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is a decentralized blockchain. The tracking process might not be possible but I am not sure for that. Bitcoin will be hard to hack because the addresses are not channeled to one server. It is not possible to know the total number of people who are attacking the blockchain. And I know that hackers are trying to attack the system every day.
2795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After HongKong, it is time for Taiwan on: April 28, 2023, 04:42:46 PM
This is welcome news from Asians continent. Things happened like this because the economic planning committee in Taiwan is very active and they have seen the thrive of Bitcoin in these days. This have been said some time ago that if one country does well with bitcoin other countries which is close neighbours to the country might join the ecosystem. And this might be the reason of Taiwan, China and Hong Kong.

The hurry was to meet up the demand and also the rate at the moment is making them to hurry up because they haven for seen the future of Bitcoin, so they have to make a purchase now to join the ATH.
2796  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie are wearing avatar in their accounts on: April 27, 2023, 09:17:01 PM
Op though I like your question. Instead of ignoring what you don't know, you asked it and got a respond from then users. You have also helped others who did not know it before.

Really this is a very new information for me and i never knew there are old Newbie account who wore avatars back in the time when Avatar was allowed on Newbie status. However sad to see that none of those accounts are active now a days.

Sometime i think why Theymos ban the avator for the Newbies and what is the disadvantage in Newbie wears an avatar ?
I have read some time again the reason why newbies could no longer allowed to wear avatar. You can check here to see more https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1008863.msg10948133#msg10948133. I like it in this way that newbies can not wear avatar and signature because they would over abuse it.

theymos consider all the possible ways before stopping newbies to water avatar. Just the ancient ones would have been automatically remove. Or is it that, they are lefrover for future reference .
2797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: April 27, 2023, 09:00:48 PM
In an unexpected move, Grayscale is up 10% on the day with a BTC down 1.5%. The discount is finally narrowing.
This is because of the court hearing of for the SEC vs Grayscale trial.

GBTC Discount Narrows to Lowest Level Since November Following Court Hearing

Quote
The discount narrowed to 35% following the hearing where a panel of appeals court judges appeared skeptical about the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) arguments in rejecting Grayscale’s bid to convert its GBTC into an exchange-traded fund (ETF).

If Grayscale wants to change is bitcoin GBTC to an exchange traded fund, they should allow them because exchange  is a business on is own and the authority can tax the company to pay their taxation dues.  Even as it is at the end if the court allow them to convert the asset to the exchange, the authority will still tax tbem.

What really delay the court process was the denial of Grayscale. The company went to court Tuesday to argue the SEC's denial of its ETF application was "arbitrary," telling the panel of judges that Grayscale is "asking to be regulated" by the SEC through its conversion of GBTC to an ETF.

There is no late comer in education, whenever one is ready he or she can go the educational center and acquire the needed knowledge. What I am trying to say that, though I came late to this informative thread but I have learned something  today.

Thank you for breakdown the information to the bearish way for the layman (ordinary) man to understand. I hope the Italian user who made you to do the research and create this marvelous thread has gotten his answer.
Op you can also update this thread time to time because there some users who have earn reasonable merits after the creation of this thread. Although I don't know the parameters used for analysis. Once again thanks you.
2799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Observer on: April 27, 2023, 08:12:55 PM
Interrupting this interesting conversation to highlight the Lighting conference hosted by Microstrategy:

Bitcoin & Lightning for Corporations
As part of MicroStrategy World 2023

May 1-4, 2023 | Orlando, Florida

https://www.microstrategy.com/en/world-2023/bitcoin-for-corporations

This is very good information. I wish I am there to attend the conference. The registration is ongoing, and anyone who want to attend and you close to the venue is to do the registration now.

The major issues to discuss in the conference which I noticed from the OP information (the link) are the Adoption of Bitcoin and the Lighting Netwok corporation.
From the article I also came to notice that Microstrategy were the pioneer company to hold bitcoin as a company. I believe Elizabeth Stark the CEO and Founder of Lightning Labs will do justice in the conference.
2800  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Accepting Cryptocurrency in occasion. on: April 27, 2023, 06:24:11 PM
Congratulations for the birth. But Op I debunk and rebuke this your story. Please think of another lie to come. Send us here a proof or evidence also the addresses the coins were sent for is to trace the transaction, don't think that we are fool here to accept every crypto stories emanating from users. Tell us the date of the ceremony then the addresses, we will find out the rest. The lies here is getting out of hands. If it is true provide the above.

There was no need of bringing your sister birth celebration to the forum. Those are sacred issue and not for public announcements if not there are lot of people that have such celebrations every day. Just need proof.
