In Bangladesh, there is a strong domestic league, although it focuses only on limited overs and is not competitive enough. It is high time that they move their focus from limited to longer formats. Its inexperience, brought about by a lack of exposure, has held Bangladesh back. They are still in the process of developing test maturity, and are still considered minors in test cricket. If your approach in test cricket even at home by playing safe and not beating your opponents, you may not be able to last long. While it's obvious that the process takes time, you don't know whether you are going the right direction until you see it in action.
Bangladesh has very long and good history in cricket even they have test status just 23 years ago, but their set-up is very old but sadly as I read due to domestic corruption they fail to develop this all never have any solid plan for setting things in positive way as few mentioning other countries they develop things, but these all happen just because of strong approach by their own boards and other authorities with this all Bangladesh is also can do this all but first hey need to bring some better set up in management and then work on all fields which must for improving their cricket setup currently they are third most populated country in cricket but sadly due to their own issues they are at bottom of all lists which is not good. They already lost some good time but still they have few things which can bring them in good position with available talent which is good but need some good development programs now they have some good funds through BPL which also can help them. The problem with the Bangladesh cricket team is that they are just not patient enough to play the test cricket. They are decent enough in One Day Internationals and also trying to improve in the t20s but in Test cricket, they are just not patient enough and fail to see what the bowlers and the batman are trying to do. I was not aware of the domestic set up of Bangladesh, but like other Asian countries Pakistan and India they need to set up a strong first class league and only then they could find the talents. T20 leagues have nurtured the players for the shortest format and hence Bangladesh is performing well in ODI and T20 and they need to focus on First class Cricket to identify Test level players and give them opportunities.
The problem is there are a lot of fixing and fabrication going on in the first-class cricket of Bangladesh even though Bangladesh do have a good domestic setup. A player will obviously be disheartened If he knows that there is no point in playing a game because they are not going to win. |

Today, Barcelona played an away game against Levante. They did what was expected from them but it was very difficult at the same time. Levante were ready to surprise them really much and they were almost making it. But Barcelona were saved by L. de Jong in the last minutes and they won 3-2. The gap with Real Madrid is still 12 points but Barcelona still maintain their chance for the La Liga title now. However it is too hard to even imagine it for Barcelona logically.

Only 5 points behind 1st place - Man of the day is Vlahovic. Juventus Turin didn't play well against Cagliari, but it was enough for 3 points. I am very upset to see the performance of the Bangladesh team in the Test format. The Test format is consistently performing poorly. I have not seen any improvement in their players. BCB is enough rich board. However, they are not taking adequate steps to improve the test format. The quality of their domestic leagues is getting worse day by day. If it continues like this, in a few days Bangladesh team will fall further behind in ranking. It will even lose against teams like the UAE and the Netherlands.

Right now, talking about change for playoff is not right because in current season we have 10 teams and every team is going to play at least 18 matches which is good enough for having chance for qualifying in next round after just four defeats surely it is not good start, but these teams can start any time and improve their chances for going through into next round right now CSK and MI both have quality and good players, but sadly they are not managing in winning way which is surely big problem both sides are facing same problem in batting and bowing in presence of good number of players hopefully now in next matches we will have positive results and very interesting competition into this season. At the end of day 1, Bangladesh regained some control from South Africa after taking some valuable wickets. Khaled and Taijul contributed to keeping Bangladesh in it. Neither South Africa's batters nor the rest of the team are capable of making big scores. They must convert their 50 to 100 or 150 and have the others bat around them. Though, the total will reach 300-350 easily. BAN will have a hard time while batting as they did in the past when facing big totals.
Bangladesh did take some important wickets at the end of the first day but South Africa still have 5 wickets in hand. and Bangladesh really needs to get those five wickets quickly otherwise South Africa is surely going to put up a big total in the first innings. If Bangladesh are unable to pick up quick wickets I think South Africa is going to score somewhere near 400. The 115-over game is over, and there's a break for lunch now. South Africa lost 7 wickets and scored 384 runs. Their run rate is good enough. South Africa will probably declare their innings after collecting around 420/430. And Bangladesh is such a weak team in Test format. Bangladesh has no chance to win this match. I have my doubts about whether they will even be able to draw this match. Probably Bangladesh will suffer a humiliating defeat in this match as well as in the first test match. |
