2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Animal racing on: December 28, 2021, 11:27:59 AM
It depends I think on the type of animal and as well as how the event is taken care of? I mean if you were to ask if Horse racing was bad for the horses, making them race itself isn't exactly bad, but forcing them through violent means CAN be bad. On the other hand, if you were to ask if idk, monkey racing would be good, well, I'd say idk really, and maybe just tell you to ask the monkey themselves if they'd actually go race. Running comes naturally to horses so that's understandable but again, it depends on the type of animal.
2782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Signal Notifications on: December 28, 2021, 07:05:33 AM
Pretty sure Binance has alerts or bots for what you want OP. You can also try looking for custom bots but that might take up more of your time since you'd need to test each one first before even applying it to your trading schedules. Not familiar with external bots since I rarely use them though, heck I rarely trade now since I mostly just hodl. Don't bother looking over through hundreds of coins, just look at the top 50 or top 100 and just center your trades around there. Anything beyond that would probably be a waste and a risk to trade.
2783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy alts at the right time? on: December 28, 2021, 02:39:30 AM
Not quite risky but indeed very risky specially into those low cap coins that you would be dealing with.Knowing about those right times to buy is something connected with those corrections which presumably the best
time to buy but its not the actual bottom that we do speak off because the market is always been unpredictable and there's no way that you could just simply go in without any basis or analysis.
You would only know if its the right time you had decided on is on when you do make profits out of those investments that you had made. You couldnt determine it on early phase
but due to experience you would able to find it out.
Here's the thing, every type of investment out there is ALWAYS risky. There's never a type of investment that isn't risky, even with Bitcoin. Unless, well, it's a scam. There's absolutely no risk, just simply a 100% chance of you losing money. And that's why it's always advised to spread your investment to multiple coins instead of a single one, that way even if one crashes, you wouldn't exactly lose a big amount all at once. The only chance of that happening is if everything you invested in crashed, which is more unlikely than one coin crashing.
2784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you really predict Bitcoin at this time on: December 27, 2021, 11:13:46 AM
I mean prediction, in a broad sense, is an opinion and not really a fact. No single entity can really decide on what the market would go to since it's a collective movement of a LOT of people that makes the market move, and they are most likely not exactly moving together, but rather most of the time against the other. After all, trading is a zero sum game. Most speculations and predictions are simply gambles, just that it's backed up by info so that people could have more confidence in their predictions. It's still a 50/50 regardless, but at the very least, they themselves would believe it's more likely to happen because of the info they have.
2785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is still in a downward trend, will it last long or temporarily? on: December 27, 2021, 04:55:40 AM
But we are just above $50k and just hanging on it, if we have a good bounce to $55k then maybe we can say that we are not in a dangerous trend.

Looking at it's past history, every December we have this kind of burst during Christmas and New Year so I'm expecting the same. So for me it looks like a temporary pump and absolutely no way to see $100k in the future as we might see bearish next year.
Looks pretty steady so far, talks about $100k happened in the past months and I was on it as well, though seeing the market right now, it's not going to happen at least for half a year. If it did, which I highly doubt, it's just going to be a quick bubble imo and might even push Bitcoin to levels lower than it is right now, maybe go back to the price of Bitcoin in the year 2020. It'd probably go sideways now, I don't think it'd go down since we just had that, probably found a foundation to hold itself, for now.
2786  Economy / Gambling / Re: Self-exclusion/ban who to be blame on: December 27, 2021, 12:58:03 AM
If there were no rules about how the self-exclusion ban worked, like very unclear, very vague, or any of that sort, then it's definitely the casino. BUT, if it's written in black and white on their policies page and it'd just take a bit of time to read it, then definitely the player. I mean, it's dumb really, it's like saying that it's a store's fault for letting you enter their establishment when clearly, well, it's your own feet that brought you there. Yes, self-exclusion asks of you to request it to them, but I mean that's the least effort you can do to stop yourself from gambling no?

but I confusion why should a user go ahead to make deposits or request for withdrawal after accounts are banned or are its part of the rules of gambling sites to allow for withdrawal from ban account.
In this situation who is to blame the gambling site or the player?
It's mostly a misunderstanding, mostly the player side, in how the self-exclusion policy of the casino works. If a self-exclusion policy were to really work, no features of the account should work afaik. Now if it works, that means the self-exclusion was lifted, probably due to the policies of the casino themselves.
2787  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: December 26, 2021, 04:52:20 PM
i don't get why you deposit when in fact the reason you want self-exclusion is for you not to spend. yet you deposited an amount to play and lose. the moment you saw that you have deposited and saw that the amount was credited means the transaction went on. that's not a problem since the wallet doesn't know whether you are excluded.

blaming them for that and you losing that amount is not thier fault. you should have avoided visiting stake instead.

I guess self-exclusion doesn't include yourself. Honestly, these types of issues are pretty dumb, mostly because the user side, the one that complains most of the time isn't really doing anything to actually "stop" themselves from gambling. Let's be real, no matter how much banning a casino/site does to you so you don't visit them, there are TONS of others out there. If you can't stop yourself from visiting one, who says you can't be stopped from visiting others no?
You are going to say this doesn't effect me because i have no gambling problem if they are pulling this shady thing.
Yea you're kind of contradicting yourself.
I have advised stake that i have a gambling problem in the past they have a 24 hour cooling period so if you self exclude you can
Pretty sure you just have to read how their self-exclusion worked? It's written quite clear in their policies.

2788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker bankroll building challenge. on: December 26, 2021, 11:40:21 AM
Goodluck op! This seems like a trip towards trying to gamble without actually spending anything or something?  Honestly doesn't look like it's going to end up with something, freerolls have abysmal startups, and if you'd need to be really lucky to actually get something worthwhile, not to mention the probable issues when withdrawing money when you haven't exactly deposited any money in the casino. Not to mention that it'd probably be a lot easier to lose your entire bankroll than win one.
2789  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang crypto after ng isang super typhoon. on: December 26, 2021, 03:40:54 AM
Pretty much pinagkukumpara lang ni OP yung convenience based sa current situation nila ng fiat vs crypto. Disregarding yung ibang basic needs like food and water and a lot more, just yung fact na mas available for usage ang fiat kesa sa crypto at their current situation ay enough na para mapakita na hindi naman talaga to be used ang crypto in all situations, which is natural imo.

Tulad nga ng idea na mamamatay lang yung Bitcoin network if namatay ang internet, mawawalan din ng saysay yung stored crypto mo kung di mo maaccess yung internet. Crypto is not something to be used in case of emergencies, it's more of a personal security type para sa pera na hawak mo since ikaw yung bank mo.
2790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which part of Bitcoin do you think it's the hardest to understand? on: December 25, 2021, 02:34:50 PM
Nothing much. I haven't learned much about how the technical stuff works but I reckon I can understand tidbits of it since I dabble in backend development and have had my own experiences with developing my own systems. The concept and idea of Bitcoin were pretty difficult for me to understand though when I first got to knowing crypto. I was pretty baffled with it since my first time hearing of it was when I was in Highschool, was pretty baffled with what crypto even meant since all I know with "cool" techy sounds was that they were used to hack something lmao. Years of being exposed made me gradually learn about it though.
2791  Economy / Gambling / Re: VR online casinos? on: December 25, 2021, 11:52:29 AM
Try looking up VR casinos in steam maybe? I found one here https://store.steampowered.com/app/708760/Social_Club_VR__Casino_Nights/, looks pretty good and the review is mostly positive so it might just suit what you want. Seeing as it allows Occulus rift and afaik, Occulus quest should be able to access most (if not all) rift titles, so might want to try that out. On another note, Idk if there are legitimate casinos (or if it's allowed even) but you can try your luck with VR chat. Who knows, there might just be a local group with their own world casino in there.

For crypto-specific idrk much. You can try checking this thread out from a year ago https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5272392.0;all. Bunch of discussion with regards to VR casinos that might interest you.
2792  Economy / Gambling / Re: Very immoral marketing strategy. on: December 25, 2021, 06:43:16 AM
A marketing strategy and you are okay with it?  What of if you end up being scammed or moreover, you lost your fund through this kind of marketing strategy due to your weakness and ignorance to do thorough research before jumping on the hyped information. We all need to be guided to avoid later regret which is the reason why the internet is there to make thorough research.
Then that's you being idk, what might be a better term to use other than dumb? In the first place, a scam and a legitimate business are two different things, it's just that it's up to you to differentiate between the two. Now, as for losing money through these kinds of marketing strategies, well that's the point see. Marketing strategies are there to make you spend money, to make you their customer so that you can spend money for them to earn, easy as that. Now if you're complaining about that, idk man, it's mostly your fault ngl. It's pretty dumb to blame an advertisement for YOUR decision. Your the one making the decisions for your life, not the strategy.
2793  Economy / Gambling / Re: Search for sports betting partners on: December 25, 2021, 04:49:09 AM
I'm tired of fighting with online bookmakers, which in 99% of cases are scamers, as you all already know, so I decided to go in search of partners.
Pretty sure that's 99% of what YOU found. That doesn't mean that all bookmakers are scammers. It's just that maybe some are rather unsuitable for what you need or well, you guys just don't meet eye to eye, simple as that. I've mostly tried stake and nitrogensports, though seeing as you already name-dropped them I'm guessing they didn't suit the stuff that you need.  It might be better OP to list out some of the bookmakers you've tried so that others can easily filter out what you've tried and what they've tried. That, or well, just list out some specific ones you want.
2794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Historical Bitcoin Prices😊 on: December 25, 2021, 03:02:15 AM
And yet people are sometimes losing sight of the bigger picture because they are more focused on how much Bitcoin has lost since it made its ATH. Many must have forgotten that just last Christmas, the price was only at $23,000. That's just merely one year ago. Even at a relatively low price right now since the $69,000 ATH, it is still more than 100% increase from the last Christmas. Bitcoin is still giving us a more beautiful Christmas than last year. Let's all be merry!
Well merry to those who bought low and sold high, but for the opposite? It's a lost opportunity. Well not for me though, I'm just waiting for the next dip to happen to buy in again after profiting off the dip in the start of December. Now I'm just gonna hodl myself to death (unless I see an opportune buy and sell moment) for a few years, probably till next halving or so. I don't think big price increases would happen once again though, even 100% in one year seems surprising already at this point.

On a side note, Happy holidays to everyone!
2795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 24, 2021, 02:19:24 PM
Well, hodling forever is a pretty dumb move. Sooner or later you're going to have to sell that coin. A coin itself isn't always going to go up in the future, not to mention that the purpose of hodling itself is to sell it at a larger price so you can profit off of it more. It's just that some people like to do it over very long periods of time, and that they'd rather not spend it even if they've already profited at the current price, they instead wait for a bigger opportunity. Looking at the big picture so to speak. It's all about how you do the market though, you do you, nothing can stop that.
2796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 24, 2021, 01:35:38 PM
I agree, it felt like OP wanted to get more out of that small mistake.
Small mistake? They might be taking advantage of alot more problem gamblers this way. I dont think their regulator will see this as a small mistake.
Well, it depends on how you look at it ig? For the victim it might seem to be a big case, after all, they are trying to recover from their gambling addiction tendencies, anything related to gambling could be seen as very sensitive to them and could lead to a lot of repercussions while for the average joe, it might just seem like it's nothing. I'm more on the side that OP is making this a bigger issue than it should be, could've simply, as I recommended, turned off email subscriptions and whatnot. Now if he did, and he still got sent gambling-related stuff, then THAT'S the time it would become a really big issue.
2797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Bull Market will Start on: December 24, 2021, 11:37:43 AM
Who knows. It's always a possibility, but then again, the opposite of what you're asking for could also happen so there's really no use in theorizing about it since, in the end, all of it would simply end up being an assumption. After all, I'm pretty sure the answer you're asking for is something that is 100% backed by facts, info or whatnot, or speaking simply, is a guarantee that it's going to happen. Just go with what you think would happen and stop relying on the opinion of others, it's all in the air. It's a pretty good buy-in price right now though since Bitcoin is down imo.
2798  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino context on: December 24, 2021, 01:48:47 AM
For context, Stake has a bunch of both giveaways plus contests for Christmas, there's a lot of variety so I'm guessing OP just means in general something that the casino would do for Christmas, not really anything specific.

It's kinda funny though how the entire thread turned into a wall of context discussion. Anyhow, I'm checking out the promos Rollbit has on their site for Christmas, not exactly related to gambling but rather their coin RLB. Idk if you can consider it as a contest but it is a newbie referral program that they are doing. I'm also looking at Duelbits but that's about it, I wanted to try Roobet but I think I'm putting too much money on to gambling, I only want a bit of stress relief after all.
2799  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pragmatic play slots not available in my region on: December 23, 2021, 12:42:23 PM
Slot games only depend on luck, then if someone uses a VPN to play, will he not be dangerous to him? because of fake ip
It's not really dangerous but it is against the TOS of some casinos, especially ones that have strict regulators since well, you won't exactly use a VPN if your country was open to gambling and allows access to the site you're trying to enter. Might want to read up on their TOS first about VPN's before trying it out.
If it's just about playing those particular slot games because you like the design, graphics, or the gameplay, you can always play without real money in a demo mode. There are dozens of sites that allow you to do that. Just google the name of the slot followed by "demo play" or "play for free".

But since you are gambling and want to make money, your only option is attempting to trick the casino and gaming provider with a VPN. However, you are putting yourself at risk of having your account suspended and your coins confiscated for breaking the TOS. Your choice. I think it's better to forget about that brand and play something else.
There are even games out there that are just literally the game itself, if you enjoy the gameplay then that's the thing, but if you enjoy the thrill of gambling, then well you have to visit a casino for yourself. Honestly I'd recommend OP to forget about using a VPN, most cases it's a no no for a casino, not worth the risk.
2800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 23, 2021, 12:23:02 PM
If this was an email isn't it possible for you to unsubscribe from their promotional emails on your side? Pretty sure Gmail and a lot of similar others have the option. That, or you can go straight to your stake account and disable it from there. There's also the option of putting everything that came from the said user (in this case, stake) to be automatically put in spam. There might even be an option where they're automatically deleted though I'm not sure about that one.

There might've been some difficulties I suppose if it still hasn't been fixed, just keep contacting them or altogether just block the account sending you emails if you're that much in a hurry. Just keep up with being responsible and even if they entice you, control yourself. After all, that's your end goal, so even if it was placed in front of you, just grit your teeth and stop yourself from trying to gamble.
