2781  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter McCormack: 'Bitcoin has WON the war on money'. Do you agree? on: January 11, 2022, 04:41:27 AM
Kinda too early to say? I mean sure, Bitcoin's value is BIG, but just look at the number of payment processors, companies, etc that have adopted Bitcoin as a medium for payment. They're rather low in number, and they're all mostly bigwig companies, you'd rarely see (though not impossible to find afaik) small scale businesses accept Bitcoin. We'd actually have to wait to the level where Bitcoin is pretty well known to most people, not just what it is, but also how to use it as a currency.
2782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 11, 2022, 02:15:28 AM
I won't be teaching on how to gamble, but I will be teaching them what gambling is. It's a subtle difference, but it's probably what makes the topic rather important to discuss. In general it isn't only in casinos where we gamble after all, it's also done in simple decisions that we do in life, or maybe even very important ones.

Honestly, limiting my kid to doing what I want him to do is pretty dumb, it's like going against the idea that I always agree with, that countries should allow casinos instead of banning them so that they can manage it properly, instead of outright banning it thereby leading to illegal casinos popping out. I might as well let my kid gamble (If he really wants to) somewhere I can actually guard him and educate him.
2783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: January 10, 2022, 11:09:46 AM
It quite clear to all of us that trading is not an easy task and if an individual lack a good trading skills it may bead to loses, this aspect has made many to decide to hold rather than trading to avoid mistakes.
But in doing that I have observed that while the crypto currency market is highly volatile so if you can flow with the wave of the market one can still make good profits but again its not a guarantee and not an investment advice.
Every crypto advice 101 ever. I don't think it even needs to be said, pretty much any startup guide to trading would say that first and foremost since beginner traders tend to misunderstand what trading actually entails. It's a zero-sum market, if you're going to win, then full well that losing is also expected. It's just a matter of how much the difference is between the amount you're going to lose and the amount you're going to win. Honestly, just don't consider trading as a magic way to earn money and I'd say you're good to go for a start imo.
2784  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC GAME and HASH GAME Scam wit full legit proof on: January 10, 2022, 04:28:43 AM
Kinda funny how OP provided info about how he reported the casino to uhm, probably whoever is hosting them? or whoever above them or something, and yet didn't really bother to share concrete details about the scam here. Well granted that there have been quite a few accusations on BC game here, I think even without proof that should be enough to show that they're a casino one should watch out for, but still, nothing's better than presenting proof so that it's a complete blacklist for other gamblers.
2785  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? on: January 10, 2022, 01:37:39 AM
The thread was created 2 days ago and it said, Bitcoin will go down after 24 hours but yet, it didn't happen.

Sad to say most of them voted yes, it seems they don't have faith in Bitcoin price that will spike this month presumably.
I voted NO, even though we know that the price is unpredictable but I don't see any sign that Bitcoin will go down and consider a dip situation.  I have a fundamental analysis and it seems it's a positive one and I think Bitcoin price within this month will resist and create a short bull run.
Well, it did go pretty close to $40k, luckily it didn't continue down and went back up by a bit. Still though seeing the current state, it isn't that odd why most people are expecting the price to go below $40k, the general trend recently has been quite bearish after all. I myself am a tad bit bullish but well, that's for the long term. Wouldn't be odd to see the market go below $40k levels, I might turn a bit bearish tho if we ever go below $30k in the short term.
2786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone will receive a paper wallet in their post. Then what? on: January 09, 2022, 06:58:51 AM
Curious on the first day, amused on the second day, and probably irritated on the third day? A paper wallet is simply like any other paper to the eyes of someone not in the know. Pretty sure anyone would be pretty damn curious if they suddenly got an additional paper on their mail, but would probably just throw it out honestly. It wouldn't really make them more aware, maybe aware that the one doing it should be reported, but awareness about Bitcoin? There's probably better ways than irritating people.
2787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy alts at the right time? on: January 08, 2022, 01:13:15 PM
You are right, in fact there is a very common practice in trading that has been applied for months, all this was started by the NFT games and consists of participating in a whitelist to buy tokens in a private sale, then in the public sale sell at the pump, this way a good profit can be made, of course there are people who like games, but since many NFT games have been in decline, what they are already opting for is private sales and then public sale . Of course this does not imply marrying the token or currency, and although it is risky, many who take this risk have obtained good returns.
This is still being done no? I know a few groups that has been doing this and they've been profiting quite well from the strategy. Honestly, I'd recommend only doing this strategy if you have plenty of money to spare for trading, it could bring profits but there is a HUGE chance that the project you're going to invest into would turn into a dud. I'm pretty sure it's quantity over quality in these cases, so the more money you can use to invest in different projects, the higher chances of you profiting off. Well with risk comes with rewards after all so I guess it's a natural, just that again, it depends on your starting budget.
2788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 08, 2022, 12:32:14 PM
I'm highly doubtful of it happening but it isn't completely out of the picture, it's just that it's actually unlikely considering what has happened in the past year. A good possible bounceback could start a pretty good run off towards a new ATH right now, and honestly, if we consider the entire 2021, we're still pretty bullish. It's just that the peak came early on instead of a steady movement of gradual price increase, hence why we're feeling the dips right now.
2789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell a little bitcoin now to get into alts when it all drops soon? on: January 08, 2022, 10:21:59 AM
Sure, if that's what you think suits you. I mean in the end, it's actually up to you since the "trading" part is ultimately what you are going to do, not us. In the end both cases require you to take on a certain amount of risk, just that in hodling Bitcoin you basically set the same risks in the past as you first did, while in venturing towards other coins, you're technically risking more since you're going to try and find coins to profit from. Ofc, with that said risk, you're going to have a better chance of scoring higher profits, since the more risks you take the more profit you could possibly gain (or lose).
2790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport's betting experience on: January 08, 2022, 09:02:28 AM
I dont quite get Amuls strategy I would need to see it done live to understand better the idea of matching a bet to the game progress.  Sounds viable vs the odds but a large part of this strategy is experience and recognizing when one team is very likely able to take the whole game while its still unclear to the majority betting.  Not simple so much as betting with confidence.
It's basically trying to take advantage of possible mistakes that would be made by the bookie whenever a match result is out? Kinda dumb really, since bookies have been in the business for so long that they have their own statistics to judge the odds of a match, much so that the result of a single current match might not even affect the original odds they actually set beforehand. Honestly I hardly doubt you could even make it even with this, maybe in certain matchups but that's about it.
2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: January 08, 2022, 04:39:16 AM
Online casino Boomed more because of Pandemic , people tend to gamble daily has no choice but to play thru online and now they love paying it.
But we do not know  what will change once the Corona Virus totally died if the Reality gamblers will return in their seats inside casino houses, or will remain in their Houses and plays using crypto.
But yes VR is a innovation of gambling business strategy and we knew that gamblers always tend to find new experience so indeed this VR gaming will soon boom .
Why not both? Honestly, I don't think online would die out even if the lockdown experience was to be completely removed. It just opened up a whole new idea for most players that they can well, gamble in their homes. Same could be said with offline, even if online exists I hardly doubt it would actually die out, they both have their own characteristics and both would have their own niche market. VR, if it is actually implemented properly, would take both characteristics into one, though that's still far off imo since replicating all senses in VR would still take time.
2792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to trade btc without kyc on: January 08, 2022, 01:03:29 AM
Up to KuCoin, if not the cup of your tea then any other DEX should do the job. There should also be other exchanges out there that would let you trade, but it has severe withdrawal limits (and probably some other restrictions in place as well), not to mention the countries the exchange itself doesn't really allow to trade in.

^ Probably email and password would be fine as a KYC requirement rather than downloading your photos and national IDs.
But... that's not KYC? I mean it fits OP's criteria but KYC is submitting documents, official ones, that let them identify your identity, and an email and a password are not one of those. ID's are.
2793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 07, 2022, 01:09:02 PM
There's a 50/30/20 and 70/20/10 rule in money, but what I do is I only spent 10% of my total income every time I receive my salary. The urge on spending your money on your wants is very very uncontrollable if you don't know how to save money. In your given example, if I'm earning $2000 monthly, I would only spend the 10% of it in gambling, it's only gonna be a ln entertainment type of gambling because once you treat it as your source of income, the rest of the remaining money would vanish.
Huh, I know about the 50/30/20 one but the 2nd one was completely new to me. Heck I even tried to look it up but it's about learning instead of income management? Or maybe it's just used in general, but hey, good to know. I usually use the first one but the 30-20 part is almost always changing, most usually up to my mood since you know, it's not for certain that all the stuff I want to spend on would actually enter the range of that 30% part. I do usually follow the 50 part though, spending towards expenses that I really need to spend on.
2794  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: January 07, 2022, 12:52:24 PM
Even a lot of land-based casino's allow for people to cancel a self exclusion within 24 hours... Or to return after 90 days.

There is no absolutely perfect way for Casino's to do this.

At some point, it still ultimately relies on you doing your part in avoiding gambling. For example, you could always create a new account using a VPN or a new IP address. Would that too be the Casino's fault? It wouldn't.
Land-based casinos actually make it a lot easier to feel that you've been banned though since you visiting them slaps you in the face that you're, well, banned from entering until said so. Online casinos provide way too much accessibility that excluding yourself from one may or may not actually be helpful due to other casinos existing all the same. It all ends up with you being responsible for it yourself as you said, though I guess having a centralized system for gambling might help this kind of problem out, where all users are registered in one major database, so that exclusion from one could also apply to any other existing registered casino.
2795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not too late to meet up on: January 07, 2022, 10:50:34 AM
Things are slowly changing. It seems market is about to provide a big discount to those who are still looking to enter. I must suggest anyone who wish to buy now, should go for DCA as slow and steady will help them to accumulate at better average. This year will be another exciting for bitcoin by considering upcoming positive regulations from many governments hence buying now with year long holding plans will not disappoint anyone.

I got a surprising new year bonus last week and I have bought bitcoin for 20% of my bonus and I still hold another 20% to buy more by end of this month (and the remaining bonus were spent of on all other expenses Sad).
It is indeed time though I guess it's also a pretty scary time since we've had two big dips these past few months. Though then again, investments are like that. If you were going to take a risk, might as well take the one that has the better chances of making you bigger profits, so just follow the buy low sell high maxim and I think you're fine? The general trend of Bitcoin is still bullish after all, it's just that it might take a year or two before you see better times.
2796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparison of Bitcoin price fluctuations with other coins. on: January 07, 2022, 05:49:01 AM
It's pretty obvious, though it's actually more apparent during Market crashes, specifically Bitcoin crashes. Most Bitcoin crashes is seen to move the trend of the market similar to what it is experiencing, an example would be the past few dumps we've actually had. Whenever Bitcoin is growing though, altcoins don't necessarily follow but the general trend is still going up, just that it's now dependent on the coin themselves whether they would go up, or go sideways.
2797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin was main currency, what's gonna be the BTC value? on: January 07, 2022, 01:32:59 AM
That's just a big what-if though, in the first place I don't think Bitcoin would become the main currency, it was never made to be one in the first place. It was an alternative to the current fiat system afaik, only an alternative and nothing more.  And if Bitcoin were to become the main currency, then wouldn't most stuff revert to the system of the past? Cause honestly with the fiat, we at least have a centralized measure for the values of items and services. Without it though, it's like we're going back to what we were using back in the past, exchanges between merchants that are completely dependent on supply and demand.
2798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unsettling, for those who don't have it on: January 06, 2022, 12:10:55 PM
from here I started to think, the reason why people still hate bitcoin is because they don't exist and have never felt what it's like to be here so when other people say it's very good they won't believe it because they haven't felt it before.
Isn't it because they just simply don't understand it? I mean, most people have egged Bitcoin as something to replace fiat and banks which is, in the perspective of someone who doesn't use crypto, is in general saying that it's going to destroy the system and replace it. Who would like that no? Bitcoin was never made to replace fiat or banks, it was just there as an additional option (and one that is very welcomed by a lot of people). It's never going to hurt/damage anyone on its own since it's just a medium.
2799  Other / Off-topic / Re: Novak Djokovic's VISA got cancelled [Australian Open 2022] on: January 06, 2022, 06:31:50 AM
Well in the first place an exemption should have never been given to the man after all of what Australian Citizens had to go through with the Covid issue. There were already a LOT of fire afaik from Novak getting a vaccine exemption beforehand, so really, something like this happening isn't that far out of the window. Still canceling it like that just simply implies that this is closer to a political move rather than anything else, even if we do add into consideration how his exemption was dubious in the first place (afaik, his exemption didn't come from the medical exemptions and was instead recommended).

I still think it was for the best that he was removed, but the way it was done was kind of iffy ig?
2800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 06, 2022, 03:45:23 AM
Roobet and Rollbit I guess? My reasons are mainly because I've mostly played my games on those casinos so it's just me getting used to them though this is mostly the case with Roobet. As for Rollbit, afaik their VIP program has a connection with their rollbot nfts and I'm rather curious how it would go since I've always wanted to try it, sadly I've stopped trying to test my luck with NFTs for quite some time now, so I'd rather just play normally if I were to use my own money.
