2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 09, 2022, 07:01:34 AM
I’m an admitted casual, but the next fight I’m looking forward to seeing is O’Malley vs Yan. I’ve been watching their older fights on YouTube and I think Yan is definitely a step up for Suga. I think this is the first time he’s going to be challenged and I’m not sure if he’s got the strength to stand up to Peter. This might be his first real L (the last one was eh).

They are both great fighters but after seeing the loss of Yan against Sterling with a split decision, I think he is getting slow.
Sugar can defeat Yan. He is taller and has the reach. Yan has to get closer to hit Sean and it is when a mistake will turn into a defeat, possibly rear naked choke if not KO by a head kick.
2782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a top player in Libertarian Government on: October 09, 2022, 06:03:34 AM

No government is a Libertarian government. People will subdue if they feel happy and content if the government is providing for the people. There will be no need for forcing people to pay taxes if they are happy. But if it's spent on a useless war that also affects our lives, it's no surprise people will not pay the electric bills and pay no tax.

Crypto anarchy I guess is only a finance revolutionary movement in which the government may really have to give up this control because crypto is not theirs to regulate.
2783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 09, 2022, 01:58:11 AM

Is the fight over? I can't find this match on stake or on sportsbet. Where are you betting on this fight?

I've watched the previous fight, it was a slugfest so there must be something they've planned for this rematch. I go over youtube and there are already lots of Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas 2 videos to hype it.

2784  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: October 08, 2022, 08:58:19 PM
Compared with offline Casino and online Casino that requires KYC, I think offline or land-based casino gives more anonymity and privacy to a gambler than an online casino that requires KYC.  The reason why I think land based casino is much more anon and private is because the securities of land base Casino don't ask us to submit KYC or present ID when we are playing at their establishment.  Except of course for some special cases,
The special case here is that whenever one wins a big gamble or gets a jackpot he has to compulsorily do KYC in the casino. Be it land based or online based. Because a gambler with large payouts needs different information not only for the casino but also to follow different government regulations of that country. However, land-based casinos usually offer more opportunities than online casinos. I agree with you that land base casinos are safer for gamblers than online casinos.

I've not been in a traditional casino for a long time but afaik they are already asking for IDs before a customer can go inside. But the fact that your face is seen and you are on thier cameras the whole time, that's not being anonymous. Every one is checked whenever you go inside a building. A person with a young-looking face will be asked to present an ID. If you are a regular gambler I guess the guards can just let you.

In the wild western movies which I think also show history where card tables are inside the salon or a whorehouse, people have to surrender thier weapons before going inside. That's kind of a KYC.

2785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Namibia Now Accepts Bitcoin As Payment on: October 08, 2022, 04:24:41 AM
Central Africa and Nigeria had been adopting Bitcoin already, I guess the rest are just following what the largest economy in the continent is doing. They can work together for crypto to work for their benefit.

What I'm amazed actually is that IMF or any other finance agency is reacting to the adoption of crypto in this region while in El Salvador, the IMF wants the president to stop what he is doing. I was thinking maybe there is something they know that we don't. Smiley
2786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Le'Veon Bell vs Uriah Hall - October 29th on: October 08, 2022, 02:40:19 AM

Good to see Jake really made a lot of attention to bringing new players from different sports to come into boxing. Uriah Hall is a very popular UFC fighter vs NFL Pro Le'Veon Bell is among the undercard will make more hype and also will show how an athlete is if signed under different sports. Might be inexperience and rusty but yes it's still fun to watch where speculators might have no idea who to bet.
2787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading Volume really matter ? on: October 08, 2022, 02:24:35 AM

I don't also watch the trading volume upon buying BTC but this is because we know, it has demand, and it's the top coin to invest.
Choosing altcoins must be different. The trading volume must have something to do with how big the community is and the demand for the token.

What does it mean if the volume of BTC drops significantly while we are in the bear market?
Is it time to invest because it could mean the bottom or people lose interest anymore?
2788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is an economic recession bearish for the market? on: October 08, 2022, 02:06:15 AM
Two years of this crisis already made a lot of people go hungry and struggle from paycheck to paycheck. The last thing they have in mind is to buy some metal stocks or crypto when they know its price is not growing. They'd think of what is going on right now and they would prefer to buy bread. The bearish market will continue to be bear even on crypto. Unless the US starts lowering the interest rates, it may turn bullish.

If there are people who are investing these days, they are the ones who have tons of money and probably benefitting from the covid crisis.
2789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currencies Privacy on: October 07, 2022, 05:30:32 PM

We have not seen a user yet in the forum who personally has crypto frozen in his wallet. If for instance, this happens, we can be assured freezing his tokens is specifically aimed at this user.

Probably, for now, we can only say keeping privacy is just us being too paranoid but if the government actually controls one big major exchange and can dig your data from the exchange, they probably can target each one. Yup too paranoid I guess.  Grin
2790  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did Binance Just Make KYC Process More Private? on: October 07, 2022, 04:42:48 PM

Social security is the most private information, this is not going to end well for you if you provide this data. I don't think anyone is willing to give this up unless they are not aware of what it could do to them.

In any case, if you do not guarantee yourself that they will destroy the data once verified, they will keep it.

they will keep the information from KYC, that's for sure and they can justify it with good reasons. For example, if a specific country introduces a crypto ban, where they have to comply with that decision, how will they know which user comes from that country? An IP address cannot be 100% reliable info, and they certainly won't ask all users to re-KYC (to be deleted after all) after every similar change.

Every time users encounter some issues, they are going to ask for KYC once again. This I guess is just to verify your previous KYC doc if its matches still. They must be aware users are selling Binance accounts.
2791  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC charges Kim Kardashian for unlawfully touting crypto on: October 07, 2022, 03:45:01 PM
I imagine that it would be hard living as an influencer in the US due to cracking down on this kind of stuff for those with a huge following. But yeah she should have disclosed it though to avoid paying the fine.

She is willing to disclose information, it was on TV the other day. She must have an advisor, telling her she can't just get away when SEC gets involved.
But she will be an example of what influencers are going to face sooner. Famous stars are always going to be the first to be noticed, she'd be whacked like McAfee if she is not going to cooperate.
2792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Vs. CFTC fight over crypto market regulation, What are your thoughts? on: October 07, 2022, 03:04:31 PM
Ideally none should regulate the crypto market in US. If it has to be regulated, a new governing body needs to be form where they can have representatives from both SEC and CFTC. Cryptocurrency doesn't fall under the purview of SEC or CFTC. Also with their own set of old regulations, they will do more harm rather good in crypto market.

It must be a new body or no one else! Crypto is neither a security nor a commodity.

I'm sure they have learned everything about crypto, Gensler is one of BTC fan before he was hired by SEC. Many of us thought he would actually make a fair regulation for crypto but seem the guy is paid to destroy instead.

We're to know we have to be under a governing body to move on to be adopted everywhere. But because the government had created a lot of agencies to deal with when it comes to finance regulation, crypto is going to be rocked. FDIC has yet not come into the picture yet.
2793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why 95% online Gambling websites are Scam? on: October 07, 2022, 07:32:00 AM
Took the life out of you right?

Gambling is not for me either, I hardly win in blackjack the first time I tried. Won several times and then lose my capital. But I wouldn't really say 95% of the casinos online are scams. Many of them are trying to get a legit business. I could roughly estimate the number of casinos in crypto more than half of it is legitimately real and not trying to scam.
2794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 06, 2022, 01:41:58 AM

Oliveira is extremely skilled in grappling, we've seen it many times he rolled someone on the ground not understanding where it will go. It's really possible that he'd submit Makhachev once they get close.

In the UFC we have some genuine fighters who are not getting paid as they should be. In boxing, we have dumb fighters who barely possess any skills and who are getting paid like crazy.

As far as I know, Khamzat Chimaev had his passport seized in Russia. They are not trying to spread this information. That's why after that I really did not hear anything else.

Dana doesn't like politics in UFC so the reason for not spilling the information. Though Khamzat is looking like the most evil in UFC today, he is still one of Dana's cash cows. He will cover Khamzat.

2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos by categories on: October 06, 2022, 01:19:24 AM
Oh, I liked the on-chain casinos when it was still a thing. I remember playing in Direct Bet, if anybody remembers it As well. I have placed multiple beds there, and I also managed to win some. It was straightforward and at that time, it’s direct to your wallet with your winnings. I’m not sure why it’s closed, though. Was it because of licensing or something? If anybody remembers

It's what had been conceptualized to be decentralized in the past. It should be possible for it to still be a "Thing" because of LN. Sadly no one is launching this kind of casino. The secondstrade was the best that I have played in the past where we could instantly get the amount upon winning.

With regulations, there is offchain. Off-chain is where the possibility that we can't withdraw our coins when a casino looks at your account.
2796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 06, 2022, 12:50:05 AM

Bitcoin's price going up and down is actually what makes it a good investment for making money. And its scarcity is making its price also go up every halving which is what most are also waiting for.

Many of us will probably quit keeping BTC if its price going to be stable. They'd be limiting the lucrative property of BTC which makes it attractive to miners and holders.
2797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there something I don't get about USD possible losing it's value? on: October 06, 2022, 12:42:40 AM
Chinese yuan-backed stablecoin, CNH Tether (CNHT) was created in 2019 which I think was created by Tether. The marketcap is very low an not worth going for or the project is now failed, probably.

US dollar is strong this year, but fiat can be devalued at any time. If dollar is devalued, the fiat pegged coins are also having fiat value, which means they are also devalued.

Yuan is the official currency for China
Yen for Japan

I think you are talking about Yaun.

I found CNY on Binance P2P. If this is OP wants to do.
I was also planning to move some of my stablecoins to Yuan in case the currency will be widely used. If OP's purpose is to make money in trading USDT/CNY I think it's very much possible when the value of USD goes down. Unfortunately, it's not happening. It will take a black swan event for this to be foreseen.
2798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 6 cryptocurrency trends 2022 on: October 06, 2022, 12:26:10 AM
the name of this topic is classic clickbait and a poor way to promote your blog.
I still clicked on your link, so that I don't comment on something here that I haven't even seen. Your website/blog or whatever is it, by the quality of this article that you shared, is more than below average.
You do not offer anything informative, nor any specific view on the topic you assigned. just another trash site, not worth the effort.
Absolutely true. OP always offer zero value discussion here except promote his shitty blog for clicks. I have seen several useless posts of his. I don't even bother visiting the links provided. If he continues doing this, I will make a report about it in meta so that he gets banned like all other past users who were just promoting their blogs here.

Beincrypto spam was stopped years ago due to the likes of what OP did. This thread I think is considered spam also. Wanting users to go to the website instead of just putting the list in here.

Among the list, it's only NFTs that trend the most because of celebrities' and artists' support. There is Snoop dog as an example of them. The rest already had been discussed in the past like the web3 or ATMs.
2799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High roller looking for KYC-FREE casino on: October 05, 2022, 02:08:14 PM
I want to find a new casino without the need to expose myself to the KYC process. I don't want this thread to discuss the pro's and con's of KYC.
I want to remain a private person and gamble.
My play has made me the number 1 player at Blackjack.fun, wagering over 2000BTC
Things that are important:
KYC free obviously
good customer service
instant withdrawals
a community would be a plus
a decent range of games that are bug free

Thanks for taking your time to help me with the wide range of choices.

2000BTC is hard to get away with without KYC.
Decentralized casino got all that you want. It's the trust that you are to worry about, however. Like every casino, you need to learn about them to start trusting decentralized casinos. They are not popular like the casino that is marketed here in the forum.

What made you move away from blakcjack.fun? Seem perfect and not also asking KYC unless maybe with 2000BTC.
2800  Economy / Economics / Re: Rejection, failure and disappointment, its impact on ones achievement. on: October 05, 2022, 05:45:22 AM
Stubborn persistence is also fatal.
There must be a lot of people losing in trade and in shitcoins but it takes a series of painful failures for them to realize they just need to focus on Bitcoin.

If stubbornness doesn't make a person suffer from hunger and poverty, he will keep on going. Some people who pursue being an artist like painter/musician failed a lot and if they are on thier own not have anything to eat in pursuing the career they are passionate about, they'd end up working in a fast food or in a construction site. Just the reality. Surviving is just more important.

Soon the traders hoping a shitcoin will make it will realize also it's not working.
