Am I the only one getting a virus alert from the "arkenstoned.exe" file?
Bitdefender antivirus flags it, and automatically deletes it. Not sure what to make of it. I get the same thing too. Avast says it's infected with Win32:Malware-gen. It just deletes the infected "arkenstoned.exe" file, and the wallet seems to run fine without it. http://www.im-infected.com/trojan/win32malware-gen.htmlAnyone have any suggestions as to whether or not it's worthwhile to mine a coin who's developers added a virus into the package? I know just like University Coin this is one I won't touch. No virus into the package. Almost all coins have a problem with antivirus programs. Have to disagree with you big time on that one. I've got 191 wallets installed on my computer, Arkenstone is one of only 3 I've had virus warnings for. There's no reason for a false positive. I'm not a super expert or anything like that, but I can't think of why a cryptocoin would set off a virus flag unless it's infected. Please, check the source code and make new daemon and qt wallet. Everything will be the same. +1

Are the dev suddenly disappeared? what a funny situation His behavior is exactly the same as the dev that did Magneticoin. That dev also posted once in a while and ignored any community questions. Probably the same guy. I hate to say these things because I also mined some of the BTN. I see the nodes are still up so the coin is running, it is just the dev that either cannot read English or chooses to ignore the community. I actually hoped something came of this coin as I put an ASIC on it for a couple of days instead of mining BTC. Well, you never know, maybe day 6 will come and all will be revealed as the dev mentioned. I have however moved on and put my BTN bag on a memory stick for in case. At best it was fun watching all the 500 coin blocks roll in as a kind of phycological sense of achievement - imagining by myself as if it was the real BitcoinOld blocks. What really boggles my mind, is that the dev spent the time to create the coin, then spent all the time giving away all those coins, typing in addresses etc. and for what? A coin that runs in the background on autopilot. All that effort and not even an attempt to get it on an exchange or any plans to do anything. I wonder what his motive was to create the coin, because it is not to make money otherwise he would have pushed for an exchange or to work with the community. If only the dev communicated to the community and did not give us the silent treatment. And the best of all, he is not even defending himself against anything said on this thread and not attempting to set things straight. Anyways. In almost all exchanges abbreviation BTN is used by BTN - Bitinum. The exchanges will not accept the Bitcoinnew BTN.
