281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eCommerce is the way to adoption - Do your part on: January 03, 2019, 07:11:45 PM
This needs consumer demands. If I were a businessman I may not want to use bitcoin as payment now. Especially on a tight budget. I don't want to be trapped with the volatility of it. Well if it goes up then that's a different story, then I will invest.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times you heard the bitcoin gonna die? on: January 03, 2019, 07:06:37 PM
What have I learned from this? Make my own decisions, take my destiny into my own hand, and don't overextend myself.

Can't agree more! All of those things they say only affects them, no matter what happens do not let it go into you!. All they want is for you to sell so they can bag more.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Deep crash before going to the moon? on: January 03, 2019, 01:43:07 AM

Will the Ethereum, the crypto that held second largest cryptocutrrency place, survive this week mayhem?
Is it a deep crash before it goes up?

ETH/USD is down 0.55 percent on day at $173.77 and is down about 18 percent for the week already.
The trend for the long term now remains extremely bearish before any meaningful stabilisation in the prices.

Are we going down to double digits?

If it's extremely bearish and then there's no sign of any upcoming bull then it has more probability that it will go down. Or maybe you can risk but be sure to be at the right position of at least a broken resistance to profit.
284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for the Inexperienced Traders on: January 03, 2019, 01:37:12 AM
For newbies, trading is really a game of patience. That's all you can do to cope up and make a profit. Wait for the right setup and when the setup is there ride it until it last.. once you are good at this then you can change your time frame. Don't day trade yet if your time is to tight.
Trading requires ample of time so you can focus if what you are doing.  Prices fluctuates everytime and that's you should take a look on it everytime.
As a begginers, we should study more on how the market behaves and find strategies that we think to be effective but it goes into experimental basis to choose the best.

I agree we need to be timed with the market. You can't just find a winning buy with just a quick hint. You need to study what stage is the stock at and what is the probabilities.

286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am a loser. My only question now is, how do I tell my wife on: January 01, 2019, 06:01:28 AM
Tell her about it and hold the coins! I'm sure she will understand. Showing her success stories of Bitcoin enthusiast helps too. Have her something to hold to and then tell her deeply why you bought it in the first place, be it you want a vacation for her a financially free life. Help each other about the mortgage.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Should I do if my bitcoin has been stolen, and where should i complain ? on: January 01, 2019, 05:57:56 AM
Is there any website where can i complain or who can help in getting back my BTC.

If that's an exchange wallet you can try to contact their support. Maybe they can help by telling what happened, but I don't think they can give back your coins. Always remember that hot wallets or online wallets are not safe. Better invest in a hard wallet. I think they are cheaper nowadays. Old models still work quite well.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have to be aware that bitcoin will not last forever on: January 01, 2019, 05:55:22 AM
It can last forever. Just as anything in this world. As long as you use it and remembers it, it will still provide value.

And I don't agree that tax men are devils somehow. Taxes are used to build our economy.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your favorite crypto Youtube channels? on: January 01, 2019, 05:51:55 AM
I like RyanBlues page. Because I can see his efforts from his videos. He actually started with a low-quality video and then now HD. Show off real efforts.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tips to overcome depression. on: December 30, 2018, 01:53:50 AM
The best way to overcome depression is actually to prepare for it.

Only invest money you can afford to lose. Know your risk tolerance. Mind rehearse before putting the money; think of what will you feel if it goes down and then thinks of what you will feel it goes up, and then what you will do, preparing your expectations will save you from overthinking.

All these mind preparation things might sound silly for most people especially newbies like me but it sure hell work. I'd rather be silly at first than to be depressed killing myself.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's The Loser Here? on: December 30, 2018, 01:49:00 AM
Current bitcoin price 3,700. Actually higher than I thought it will be now that its almost the end of 2019. Anyway, I am sure it will cope by 2019 we just need to wait. There are a lot of things happening in the background of bitcoin making it more usable soon.

As always, losers are those who sell at a loss. But as bitcoin is currently going down I would suggest hitting that stop loss if it got hit. Fundamentals don't catalyze easy nowadays.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will usage of bitcoin reduce the value of native currencies? on: December 30, 2018, 01:43:07 AM
I don't think this happens. Fiat currencies are controlled by central banks and governments and do not let this to happen. It will happen only if cryptocurrencies completely replace fiat money. The probability of this is very low.

I agree. This is possible but it is hard for cryptocurrencies to cope. Investors of bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies are always looking for the fiat conversion.

For the sake of OP's question, yes I think it will decrease the value of fiat. People will more be concentrated on one medium and so it will decrease the other medium. Though I know the government will never let this happen.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Etherwallet Hacked[Don't click any link from Notification] on: December 29, 2018, 01:28:52 AM
I am also waiting for the confirmation from OP. I think he was referring to Electrum?, I hope so because if its MEW then we are doomed. That's two largely popular wallets for a small amount of timed hacked.

It is really advisable then to use hardware wallets. I would suggest everyone invest in them.
294  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: my electrum wallet (NEW VERSION) has been hacked on: December 29, 2018, 01:20:36 AM
It still sucks but it's more understandable that more would fall for this.

Agreed even if I were presented by this message out of nowhere when I am doing a natural thing for me of sending funds. I would fall for this trap. Just wondered, he said he downloaded from electrum.org? Isn't that the true website? Or is it already hacked?

I hope developers do something about this. Not all people have the time to read such discussions like this. They just do what they been doing ever since. It's been 10 years of bitcoin so I guess more got the habit of using it and have the habit in mind to always update software for better performance.

Don’t update software as soon as it’s released. I have a 30 day cooling off period for example.
The cooling off period isn’t great but it means if something is wrong, it’s probably been spotted. This potentially means I should also start verifying signatures to be more secure or at least the sha checksum.

That's a great suggestion. But I hope that becomes one of the general knowledge for software updates.

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy not top 100 alts? on: December 26, 2018, 03:20:53 AM
Hey guys, do you buy altcoins which are not top 100 of Coinmarketcap? Isn’t it risky to invest in them? Want to hear your opinion!

Most coins that those are not in the top 100 are new coins. A project who just started and funding. So in our current cryptospace who doesn't support projects that much thing is more of because of the money. That would be so risky especially when it came the project's mainnet.

You can try them but make sure that you are updated to their progress and if they are a real project with a cause. Some of them might be a good investment if you are good enough to spot them.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many speculators in the cryptospace? on: December 26, 2018, 03:13:23 AM
Ain't most of the money that crypto have from speculators? They study the project and give money. It's normal for speculators to unload whenever they feel they had much profit. It's their payment for the risk because they are not sure of the profit. Too many speculators is a good sign. This means more market participation meaning more money for blockchain projects.
299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullrun will always come , Newbies do your research well on: December 26, 2018, 03:08:55 AM
Bitcoin will need to bull run that is what everyone wants. And what comes down must come up or else bitcoin will be doomed. Big holders wouldn't want that to happen so they will probably take action. Exchanging within themselves creating waves to attract more speculators.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let me be clear to you, this is not a Bear Martket! on: December 26, 2018, 03:03:04 AM
The chart is going down, and it's not just a down it's a huge down, so I won't call it anything but a bear market. Don't worry it should go up soon. Bitcoin nearing a bottom and it won't be there for long because of bitcoin's potential. We just need to be patient.
