281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Which one is better, IOTA or NEXUS? on: November 28, 2017, 03:05:53 PM
Can someone more tech savvy tell me why I should invest in IOTA and why it's better then NEXUS?

I really believe in Nexus and if they can pull off what they say they will, I think it could be one of the top cryptos in the future. I already have quite a bit invested in Nexus but the more I read about IOTA it seem like a really good project as well, so please tell me the main differences and what makes one better than the other?

this the proof for all of us bitcoin continues to become popular worldwide how comes maybe next year even the poor country start to accept bitcoin as legal virtual cryptocurrency to them to grow the economy and to give decent job of their people, everything in this world using the new technology have very possible to reach the goal fast.

Yes it's in the third world countries I think cryptocurrency can really help the people. Just wait until we see blockchain sattelites and people won't even need a internet connection, just connect whatever device you have at hand to the sattelite and you can do buisness with anyone, anywhere.

283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA is the next big thing on: November 27, 2017, 07:35:17 PM
Yes IOTA looks very promising but with such a massive amount of coins can we really see any more then 10x? That would place them at around same marketcap as BCH at 3place. Maybe in a few years if money keeps pumping into crypto.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins that are now under $10 will be worth over $50+ in 2018? on: November 27, 2017, 05:24:23 PM
my predictions is Lisk and waves has a lot of potential to reach $50 in 2018

Waves and XRP are my suggestion and expecting the coin which can grows more than 50 USD in some months. There are many people trusting to bitcoin and ethereum for long time but altcoin investors are looking to choose the same kind of effect with the potential currency which will grows more than expected in some months or an year.

In that aspects XRP market place supply is very large and it is being top 5 ranks in the coinmarketcap list too for the past 6 months more. So we will surely expects the this coin reach 100 USD also in the same day next year. Waves also shows the decent growth.

haha..that's probably the most ridiculous valuation I've ever heard. How can you even think that XRP will reach $100? Or you just post some random shit and hope noone will read it?

And since we all are speculating wildly here, I say NXS will be close to $50 by the end of 2018.

285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Epic Monster Moon on: November 27, 2017, 03:18:54 PM
I bought this month ~12000 Siacoins.
I would expend my portfolio with ~10k each month, until 100k.
Do you believe that it is possible that SC reach 1$ within the next 2-3 years?

And, for the ones having SC in you portfolio, how many do you have and for how long do you intend to hold? (or send)

Yes $1 would make us all very happy but unfortunatly that's very unlikely even in a few years time. I'm not even sure we will ever reach the old record at around 800 sat.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Researching what coins to mine on: November 27, 2017, 02:56:37 PM
Hello miners,

I recently started mining a new coin that I'm excited about, Pirl, and I was wondering what the community thought about this coin and how you guys do your coin research on newer coins.  I've been mining for about 5 months now, mostly ETH, and this is the first new coin I've decided I want to take a chance on.  With this being a new coin I haven't been able to find a lot about them, but going by their website and community I thought it sounded like a really good coin to mine.  Pirl has been showing up on whattomine's most profitable coin to mine list a lot this past week, which is how I heard about it, so I was wondering if anyone else here on the boards has been watching it.

So here is a list of the reasons I decided to mine this coin and I was hoping the community could tell me if I'm on the right track or wasting my time/miners.

Pros
1. I like that it uses the Dagger Hashimoto algo and is asic resistant.
2. It will never go PoS.
3. There will be MasterNodes implemented by the end of the year which allow the community to run a masternode, if you have 20k Pirl coins, and make some coin while supporting the network.
4. The devs seem active and involved in the community.
5. No ICO or pre-mine
6. Currently low difficulty, so I'm getting a lot of coins early.
7. Future plans for a marketplace
8. The community votes on changes
9. A polished website with useful tools and information
10. It's relatively cheap at the moment at 40 cents a coin

Cons
1. Currently it is only listed on Cryptopia
2. I haven't been able to find a lot of sources for information, so the bulk of my knowledge has come from their website and community which I'm guessing is a bit biased.
3. Blocks have 12 coins, 10 go to the miner and 2 to the devs (everyone says this is too high?).  Once Masternodes are live 10 will go to the miner, 1 to the devs, and 1 to masternodes.

Any insight on this coin or how to research new coins will be greatly appreciated.

PIRL is shit coin and the only ones getting rich is the devs. They steel 20% of every block mined...and they where lying telling people that a windows wallet was ready to be released on launch day but it never was....just so they could mine as much as possible themself...

Hey everyone i'm new to crypto so please suggest whether it is the right time to buy this coin or do i need to wait for some more time as I see that price is stable and also the community seems to be good!!

Noone can tell you if its a good time to investment now or not. Maybe it will be worth $1 next year or the project dies and it wont even be woth 1 satoshi. If we knew we would all be millionaires.

This logo looks awesome, but only for the new wallet. Please do not change the coin logo we have.

I really don't like btcz's coin logo. I don't know what it is but I think it looks very amateurish made, something someone made in paint on his coffee brake.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC - lambo moon soon ?? on: November 27, 2017, 07:10:36 AM
Let's say it go up to $200 (very unlikely anytime soon) that's only x10. So to buy a lambo you need atleast invest about $20k at todays price to afford a lambo.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: November 26, 2017, 05:19:01 PM
Looks like NXS diff and price are stabilized and it is good time to come back.
Just checked profit calculations at the pool and it is significantly higher than mine own calculator shows by 50%  Huh  Shocked

Yes the calculator on nexuspool.ru is not very accurate. It always shows higher earnings then what you actually get.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum on: November 26, 2017, 05:08:36 PM
It is a bit under the ICO price now, right? I think eventually it can pump, if a whale group picks it up.

No its still over ICO price. ICO price was 0.01 without any discount but many people bought at 50% discount (me included) which gives us a ICO price of 0.006.

I think when our coins are released we will see a price close to or even below ico price before it start climbing slowly up again.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Taking a loan to invest in cryptocurrencies? on: November 26, 2017, 07:49:56 AM
Don't take a loan to invest in crypto. It's easy to say "if i had invested that much at that time, I would have made that much etc.." but crypto are very risky investments and you can't predict the future.

I do recommend you start invest in crypto because I believe its the future but only invest your own money and not more than you can afford to lose.

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: -ANN- POLYTIMOS - NEW algo - FAIR ninja launch - NO pre, insta,ICO on: November 25, 2017, 06:38:44 PM
Hopefully we can get listed on a bigger exchange soon, koinbi.com have absolutely no volume at all.

Stopped mining for now until we are on a decent exchange.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: November 25, 2017, 08:25:38 AM
That's it for me. Transfered my 100k sigt to yobit and sold it all with a loss. Never want to hear about either signatum or straks ever again. Same shit, with different name.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: November 24, 2017, 11:02:58 AM
A new Nexus wallet build (0.2.3.2) is up on the github:  https://github.com/Nexusoft/Nexus/releases  Cool

Already another wallet update, that's great. So if I understand this right, all these small wallet updates will eventually be the finished Tritium wallet, right?

By the way, nice spike in price today:)
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: November 23, 2017, 04:58:20 PM
This isn't profitable to mine unless we see a price point at around a $1 per Straks. High difficulty and only 10 coins block reward.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: November 23, 2017, 02:02:19 PM
block reward = 10 coins and Premine is 40 million  Roll Eyes

Grabs calculator ..

1 block = 1 min

1 block = 10 coins

14400 coins a day

SOO  it needs 2777 days to mine that amount thro pow ..GL

Most of the 40 million is for the swap for old signatum investors. But I agree that almost 7 million for devs is a bit over the top.

Be aware that some people complaining BSOD pool didn't pay last mined coins before Aerium went POS. You can read more about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2388626.860
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: November 23, 2017, 07:48:51 AM
Obviously none of top ten altcoins are going to make you rich with only a $500 investment. That ship has sailed. You need to find low marketcap coins that you belive have a bright future.
