281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When BTC and ETH price increase. on: January 15, 2018, 12:36:16 AM
In my opinion, when BTC prices are stable, traders and other users use alternative coins to profit more. Btc prices can't be move by a single user for the sake of trading.
Most of them will be in favor of using alts especially eth. Among altcoins ETH proven itself worth of fame.
With respect but I think ETH is the king of alts. For me BTc and ETH is a good tandem.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto is probably the cruelest business I was ever into! on: January 14, 2018, 01:07:22 PM
It's not really Bitcoin's fault. It's having those characteristics to be useful and for us to enjoy it's capabilities.
Yes it is volatile but do not forget that users are mainly the factor causing it move aggressively. Businesses and investors just help us to calm down knowing that it will not go flat ZERO.
Back to the topic, well, trading is hard and I have tried it once. I had 15% profit from my small capital and never returned. I felt risk that everyone it talking about. And just decided to just put a small business.

With prices going pump and down, it is very furstrating.  Lucky enough for those who are skilled at trading.
Don't give up man. Try to observe more. You will get it next time. And try not to put it all in.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Hold? on: January 14, 2018, 12:53:27 PM
This problem is very real. That is why investors are hesitant because there is no assurance if bitcoin will still attract more users or abandon it because of the present situation.
But try to think about what if they totaly leave bitcoin and jump to an altcoin which will become famous, soaring, or if possible mainstream too. It will probably have scaling problems too you know. It will have traffic and will have high fees. And I think bitcoin can handle scaling problems better than alts.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 14, 2018, 07:15:56 AM
GSW fan here. I think raptors has good offensive players but GSW has a great team having Durant, Thompson and Curry. Not just offensively but also their team has strong defense in the game. Players are very flexible too. Unlike other team ( not trying to be specific ) that only have a single pro player and no one to hold on in their team during crisis.
I admire how GSW perform in all their games and that keeps reflecting win or lose. We can see how they love playing and how they take it seriously while having fun.
Respect to all other team fans.
285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Jumps High This year on: January 13, 2018, 03:00:06 PM
As we can see, bitcoin is not predictable as we know it. We could assume but never accurate. Like for example, by the end of December we are all expecting a twenty thousand dollar mark yet we experienced unexpected scenarios that most of us will take it very seriously. The year 2017 was great struggle for bitcoin and despite difficulties, many are still putting their trust to it.
Hopefully, this year may be resolutions year to achieve further goals.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea putting an end to trading through cryptocurrencies on: January 13, 2018, 01:51:20 PM
South Korea is one of the major crypto player. Korean involvement is so high that , they can disrupt crypto market if government really bans all exchanges.
However, I don't think government will ban crypto exchanges, but they will nail down illegal exchanges and traders.
what government want is taxes, and will make a system where trades are transparent and government could collect taxes based on money earned by investors.

Well, I guess you haven't got the chance to know China when it was very active in bitcoin industry before their government banned local exchanges.
It shook the grounds of everyone and they thought it was the end of this industry.
I see another country banning bitcoin as just a normal thing that government do.
If this is a true news then, I think people will panic again and they will be contributing to much of another bloodbath.
And if it's a FUD, hahaha. I think it will be having the same effect.
People should really specify their topics, regulating is far different from banning.
287  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger nano S doesn't work read before you buy on: January 13, 2018, 01:37:36 PM
Well, I find this topic very helpful and enlighting because I am starting to doubt it's efficiency. I haven't bought one yet because I have done my research and some are complaining but also I have read good comments such as its the best hard wallet and easy to use. Maybe it's better to see it for myself. I try to contact the main supplier too. I am a bit scared about getting fake ones.
288  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: When will the lightning network activate? on: January 12, 2018, 08:35:46 PM
I think it will be too late, there are newer coins with much better tech, and less centralized mining available.

The only reason those coins seem to have no scaling issues is because they lack scale to have scaling problems.

Wow, this is so true! No coin has security, decentralization and scalability at the moment, but they keep pointing their fingers on Bitcoin at all times.

Can't say it better. New coins are easier to use because they are not having the same amount of users like bitcoin does.
If that "new coin" would reach such a demand, we could expect scaling problems, traffic and high fees too.
There is nothing to scale because it's not as popular as it is.
We can never say another coin is better that bitcoin. No one can.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Banned! on: January 12, 2018, 12:21:42 AM
There is nothing new about bitcoins getting banned. They just have different reasons. The effect on this industry will depend on how influential a country is to bitcoin, the involvement of population and businesses is a major factor of the movement of prices.
FUDs are spread not just because of the news but because of one's understanding about it.
There are just two types of government, a good one that bans bitcoin because they think that there are high risks and just wanted a greater good for his country. On the other hand a bad government who is greedy that bans bitcoin because they do not know how to benefit from it.

291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is the currency of the future? hahaha on: January 11, 2018, 01:15:22 PM
Bitcoin will never become the currency for every government, Bitcoin will always stay as an online currency. The reason is because it will never be accepted by government because they'll not gain anything from it. Transaction is anonymous and anyone can create multi Bitcoin address which government will not be able to trace.

I second to this. Though bitcoin aims to be a useful tool for convenience and practicality, I think it will only get worse.
Government will never find a way to control it instead set enormous tax along with our present problem, traffic causing high fees. The increasing blocksize is helpful but it is still not the only point of the whole concept.
Bitcoin's best feature now is the "no third party" part IMO.

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron cryptocurrency on: January 10, 2018, 03:13:59 AM
Well, new coin are the new kids in town. And I guess every new coin coming in will always be interesting for regular traders and new investors.
Though I don't trust China's involvement, they do make gold market.
For starter coins here, as long as exchanges are available, there will be possible hikes and further exposure will definitely attract more attention.

297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychology of waiting on: January 04, 2018, 02:26:18 PM
Waiting will be possible if a person has patience. A person with patience have to be encourage to set this willingly.  And to make it possible, knowledge is very important to not just inform but also to make then understand why they should wait. They should know that users that knows how to wait contributes to the demand and supply system. With users holding their coins will avoid great decrease in prices instead, hikes are to follow. Holding and waiting sustains bitcoin's value. Although movements are still unpredictable, it would lessen risks to dip.
298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is heating up again? on: January 04, 2018, 12:00:03 AM
I think people are stupid to believe every FUD spreading around. They do not think beyond every situation and how to embrace changes and other developments.
I am not degrading any of the altcoins, they can actually have potential but assuming that risks are real. There are much more risk in alts than in bitcoins.
Bitcoin is just starting to evolve and many already dropped their chance. LN will definitely gain attention now and will boost bitcoin more.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will soon not be the main currency! on: January 03, 2018, 11:42:06 PM
I think you could answer your own question if you know why and how prices go up and down or simply how volality works.
Bitcoin and altcoins are unpredictable. We may assume that bitcoin can remain dominant through tradings, altcoins are useful by complementing each other. You can diversify your coins and use it properly.
So apparently, movements can never be predicted accurately. Events, news and functioning will preferably boost or destroy any coin's reputation. So it's up to you if you would consider holding any other coins.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should be main focus? on: January 03, 2018, 11:13:31 PM
Volality is a characteristic that all coins have. And everything works according to supply and demand. So the most trust coin conquers.
It's not about the focus, it's about paying attention. Altcoins are profitable and convenient like bitcoin too but with its demand and popularity it's practical to choose bitcoin but it doesn't mean that altcoins must be ignored. It will always be effective depending on how you use it. If you know how to use them properly, then focusing in a single coin or not is just the same.
