281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap crypto or sell first then buy? on: May 19, 2024, 01:35:47 PM
The transaction fee that may be charged if you swap directly from one particular coin to another may be kind of higher than when you convert to a stablecoin before buying the desired coin. I would have told you to find out but it is not worth taking the risk. Do as others have advised you to, first swap to stable coin before swapping back to the new asset you want.
I think both transactions would have high transaction fees especially if you are making transactions in a centralized exchange so I think you will just be doubling the transaction fees if you switch to a stablecoin first. The transaction fees would also depend on what specific stablecoin you want to switch on to. I think it would be better to just swap directly.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When investing in Bitcoin: what to consider? on: May 19, 2024, 01:28:46 PM
Volatility, usage of Bitcoin by criminals, irreversibility of transactions, environmental impact, occasionally high transaction fees etc. can all be considered if they are important to a certain person. But I'd say that this isn't what one should start from. The initial questions should be: how much money can I afford to lose and thus can dedicate to investment? Do I believe that Bitcoin's long-term upward price trend will continue for the years to come? Which wallet should I use, and which seed storage method will I choose? Will I sell when Bitcoin gets above/below a certain point?
It it true but anyway mate you forgot to mention decentralization which is one of the most prominent features of Bitcoin because it isn't in control or isn't controllable by any country or authority or third-party service just due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin.

What might be surprising is that some people don't like decentralization, this is the reason why they don't like Bitcoin and prefer traditional financial systems over Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because they believe that if you can't touch or feel something, it doesn't exist. However, the thoughts of such people should change after they come to know about Bitcoin which doesn't have a physical existence but has created a big name for itself in the world.

You also don't need to be surprised that some people don't like decentralization because nothing is so perfect that it has no disadvantages. For law-abiding people, or those who are not confident in their ability to preserve their own assets, it is understandable that they trust banks and centralized organizations. Just like our parents' generation, banks and governments are ingrained in their subconscious and whether you introduce bitcoin or decentralization to them, they will not care and will continue to trust the government. The world is full of color and we cannot force people to think like us or impose our thoughts on others.
People do not like unknown things. Anything unknown seem to be scary for people so the concept of decentralization is something they are afraid of even if it just literally means you have full control of your money and no one is involved in controlling it for you besides yourself.they just need to be taught properly but if they do not want to listen then so be it.

284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: May 19, 2024, 09:21:37 AM
It will definitely hit 1M, but yes we just don’t know when. It can happen in 1 year or 10 years also. Everything depends on the demand raised by the people to accumulate the coin. Few years back no one thought Bitcoins will cross 1000$, but currently Bitcoins have become the most valuable digital asset. So we just need to keep calm and show faith in the coin. Just accumulate and hold it for few years. Definitely you will see the profits.
Not just about the demand but also depends on the government regulation and I think it will be hard for Bitcoin to reach that level if the government still not accepting it as a legal tender. Well, I’m also positive about the Bitcoin price and I think it can happen in 10 years or more as we are still dealing with so many challenges today, but soon if there’s a limited supply already with Bitcoin, that $1M ceiling price can surely be hit.
Indeed mate that it will be harder fpr bitcoin in increase its value in short time because Government is the main ingredients here for this great currency reaches  7 figures but before that lets look for 6 digits first in which soon to happen at least next year if not happens now.

Bitcoin rose from under $1 to $69k without any approval or legal tender from the government. So on what basis do you think that whether bitcoin reaches 1 million USD or not depends on the government? Governments are indeed the biggest barrier slowing the spread of bitcoin, but they are not the main factor or catalyst that helps bitcoin value increase. Bitcoin once rose to $69k from zero without the government, it will be able to do it again to reach $1 million without government help. If bitcoin receives support from the government, it will help bitcoin reach $1 million faster, but if not, bitcoin reaching $1 million will still happen over time.
because if the government will kick their policy against Bitcoin then for sure that will hinder bitcoin in reaching a million dollars .
yeah you are correct because bitcoin grows without complete support from each government but remember because those government did not run against bitcoin but if they will go together then that will be the reason why bitcoin may not hit that million.

286  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 AnonBet.net - No-KYC Slots and Sports Betting with Bitcoin [20 FREE SPINS] 🏆 on: May 19, 2024, 05:22:40 AM
i think with tag in your account while promoting your casino will result to less chances earning anything from the forum because gamblers will stay away from you even if you are offering that free spins .
sad to say but your scam accusation will hurt the effect of your advertising here in the forum .
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: May 18, 2024, 09:45:58 PM
I think memecoins are good for hodling and not for trading
You might just be the first person I heard say that. Usually investors would be very consistent in advising people not to hold memecoins for long term investments. I am curious what makes you say that? Most memecoins will pump and do nothing else afterwards. You’d be lucky to still have the project having some kind of market movement because others just die hence not really recommended for holding.

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (BTC Reputation Upgrades) Can This Be Done With Bitcoin Without Using Alcoins? on: May 18, 2024, 09:22:11 PM
* Starting Point = Bitcoin and the community has earned a horrible mainstream reputation with an endless flow of scandals, alleged hacks, and other major thefts.
I agree that when bitcoin was first launched up to its next following years, it was shrouded by a lot of false assumptions from the general community and everyone believed that bitcoin is nothing but a scam but I don’t think that still applies until now.

If they still genuinely believe that bitcoin is a scam, are they living under a rock or what?

Here is a quick example of something very positive which can be done with smart contracts and altcoins - and possibly (?) using only BTC:
Bitcoin For "The Masses" Super Bowl 2025 ads!
* Super Bowl ads are relatively expensive, and can be worth the money by creating a Huge Positive Buzz.
* The ad(s) can educate people about the original goals of BTC idealists and how great the future can be!
* The smart contracts used would specify funding targets, and other vital details.
* The first 100 (or 500 - for example) donations all earn the right to be (optionally) participating in a trustee group (DAO = cannot be done with BTC / possibly vote in the forum?)
* The Trustee group and/or exact details in the smart contracts, specify a clear path to securely releasing/converting the funds and buying the ads.
Sure, why not? Many crypto exchanges already do this and sponsor a lot of sporting teams so an advertisement of bitcoin wouldn’t be too out of place.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The X platform UP has a ranking of cryptocurrencies on: May 18, 2024, 08:56:51 PM
I’m just surprised that these celebrities are allowed to say that they invest in crypto and even show just how much they have as of now. I mean most likely this is not all of it anyway. But still celebrities tend to maintain an image so if they are actively promoting bitcoin knowing that there could have no one that sponsored them will surely have other people turn their heads.

The fans of these people will surely go check out bitcoin after this.
290  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to stop overthinking? on: May 18, 2024, 10:41:25 AM
First you must understand what is the issue you are overthinking and search for people that might help you with that or at least has an experienced about that same problem and from that there will be an answer and how you can get out of those thinking.
mostly it is from our problems and issues in life that we are not putting actions , instead we are keeping seeking about the solution but we cannot make it in reality.
and also , try not to think about things that will not directly impact your life , just face those what you need to prioritize .
291  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Warning Scam] Okbet casino sobrang hassle on: May 18, 2024, 08:44:07 AM
walang Live support kabayan? and invalid URL? pano mo napasok to or paano ka sumugal maglaro? kasi yong live support palang obvious  na may problema to eh.

Quote
292  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Scam phone call scheme on: May 18, 2024, 08:37:56 AM
Kung dati is okay lang maka recieved ng tawag from unknown kasi madalas online parcel, o di kaya naman ay mga job inquiry ngayon naman is nakaka duda na sumagot ng calls kasi nga dahil sa mga scams na ito, hindi kaya yung information talaga natin is na benta na or leak somewhere kasi napaka rami nilang oras para gawin ung mga ito at another thing is may alam silang background satin lalo na pag gagawa tayo ng mga transaction na notify agad sila. Always stay vigilant guys pag tingin nyo suspicious agad out nyo na wag mag papadala agad.

Same here!
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the Worst online Casino you've played on so far? on: May 18, 2024, 08:17:26 AM
If a gambling casino is not being up to the required standard, gamblers will not find it interesting to use for their preferred gambling platform, we are more centered on seeing that each gambling platform we make use of are having the required service satisfaction on gamblers, gamblers seems to see a casino as being the worst each time they were unable to make withdrawal or perform any task on their site.
I know that we as gamblers must know which casino to deal with because our deposits may not be taken out once we mistakenly deposit in scam casino that will keep hold our funds .
but what this thread asks is about worst casino experience ? though i once experienced delay in withdrawal but its resolved just in a day means this is not about being worst , this means I am not sharing any one as i never experienced even one case of being worst.
294  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: May 18, 2024, 07:48:54 AM
~snip~
Not sure if we have the same observation but we are just calling because they are winning hugely but the truth is poor gamblers also winning mostly but the problem is that they are not contented and yeah they wanted to win more and ending them losing everything instead of going home with small winning.

Yeah, the thing is that poor or rich gamblers get the same probabilities.

The math behind it is the same for both of them
that's it mate, just wondering what would be the difference aside from the amount of bets and wins capable of rich to poorer but about the result is the same , if the poor can win 5x in a row then the rich can do the same .
if the rich can lose 10x in a row so the poor can experience the same.
295  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 18, 2024, 06:45:37 AM
In my opinion, if I had the capacity to buy a house I would. Instead of renting out a very expensive one, I’ll just buy one for myself at least I do not have to worry about the lease every month. Plus, I think it would be a good investment

Real estate just becomes more and more expensive over time so I know I can sell my house when I need to move for a higher price than the one I got it for.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we increase the awrarness level for Bitcoin adoption on: May 18, 2024, 06:35:21 AM
Yes noted, the fastest way to spread information or create awareness is through social media. Once it's posted, it goes viral and this can help too in the case of bitcoin but then there should be ways to reach out to those who are in remote villages, those without any digital asset or who can't access the internet.
Do you see how contradicting that is? They do not have access to the internet what use would they have of bitcoin then? They won’t even get to use it as a currency. How would they even buy it in the first place?
Quote
In my opinion, I will suggest we speak or teach anywhere we find ourselves and to anyone who cares to learn, the use of local radio, flyers, newspaper etc.
Do people still use those traditional media platforms? Probably those who do will not care about bitcoin at all.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull in Altcoins Sector on: May 18, 2024, 06:24:06 AM
Bitcoin ETFs approval makes itself expensive along with rest altcoins. As altcoins follows Bitcoin movement, that's why a massive growth have been seen in altcoins industry. Top altcoins are become so expensive. But others altcoins are Still underrated. Maybe they are waiting for pure bull run in altcoins sector. After that, they might be touch new record again. And top altcoins will be more and more expensive then now.
i think not far from now altcoins will rise up,look at btc price it is in bull season and anytime of the day some of the altcoins will also rise because it always follow the bitcoin trend, some top altcoins are now slowly rising example is the bnb and ethereum,so we can expect the altcoin season maybe this third to fourth quarter of the year.
Weirdly and maybe quite unexpectedly so, the top altcoins are not the ones who are at forefront of altcoin season. It is actually projects with a much lower marketcap. Although that may exactly be the reason why their growth seems so much bigger and stronger because they came from lower market caps.

Anyway whichever altcoin it is, better buy now before it all rallies up again.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best service us bitcoiner's can use to get an international number? on: May 18, 2024, 06:20:02 AM
Anything out there that a law-abiding citizen can use to acquire an international phone number in an easy way? Best if it's related to bitcoin, or bitcoin themed of course.

Is there a specific country you would like access to? Because as far as I know there are different regulations in different regions even if you are in the same continent. I personally am not aware of any phones that could lead you to having phone international numbers directly. It would have to be a software that you download on your phone.

There is also no bitcoin themed phone unless you turn it into one. Buy a whole different phone and download the needed apps for what you want to do.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you remember Cogitex? on: May 18, 2024, 06:16:41 AM
yes I remember
Lol do you want to expound on that? You remember and then what? Let us please try and make a discussion here.

Do you mind sharing for those who are not aware what cogitex is? Or for those who do not remember what cogitex is? What was your thoughts on it back then and what are your thoughts about it now? It would be nice to share some perspective instead of just replying for a conversation ender.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to transition career into the Bitcoin industry on: May 18, 2024, 06:14:09 AM
Hi everyone,

I am an entrepreneur (3 startups) and a Technical Product Manager with extensive experience in building innovative authentication, identity, and digital payment solutions. As a co-founder of multiple startups, I have a proven track record of driving product development from concept to launch.

I'm eager to transition into the Bitcoin industry, where I aim to apply my skills. My personal experience with buying and holding Bitcoin, learning and researching mining, following experts like Jeff Booth, Ben Perrin, Gary Cardone, Mark Moss and others has fueled my passion for bitcoin technology.

Does anyone have advice on how to start working in this space? I'm open to part-time consulting roles to start, with a long-term goal of contributing full-time to a forward-thinking Bitcoin company.

Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you!
Wih any job or any career or any industry you are about to enter, it is always best to start with doing your resume. Introduce yourself, put all your strengths there, your experience and skills to offer. Then just apply in different places and see where that leads you. I am sure you will meet plenty of people that could offer you jobs in crypto related fields.
