There seems to be a problem with the Bitfinex orderbook display at the moment which is showing totals in K, so currently a bunch of 0K, 0K, 0K, 1K, 2K all the way up and down.
Because Bitfinex's max amount is 11k more than 10k so it is converted. now I've increased the threshold to 20k.

The currency in orderbook should be the same as exchange. And avoid ambiguities, Switch between base and quote currency will not be supported.
Instead of it, I improve the 'estimate trading' tool, click the order will quick fill the amount to estimate trading.
Actually the Volume Currency can be switch to Base(DOGE) or Quote(BTC).
Maybe do the same, optionally, to turn the "Orderbook Currency" to Base(DOGE) or Quote(BTC) ?
No, I've implemented by this way local before. but after using, user would confuse the currency of orderbook. It must be some where shows currency obviously. and I tried highlight such Bitstamp BTC/USD or add extra text '(USD)', neither of them is good enough.
Now I set the volume currency affect the orderbook and trades.

Can anyone explain how the KDJ indicator is calculated on BitcoinWisdom? I'm trying to figure out the  math of the K, D, and J lines but none of the explainations from google are matching the outcome of the BitcoinWisdom one.

I'd like to be able to duplicate the KDJ indicator from BitcoinWisdom for use in a trade bot if I can figure out how it is calculated.
The formula is

RSV = (CLOSE-LLV(LOW,9))/(HHV(HIGH,9)-LLV(LOW,9))*100;
K = SMA(RSV,3,1);
D = SMA(K,3,1);
J = 3*K-2*D;

LLV means lowest value in period
HHV means highest value in period
SMA is Simple Moving Average

What does the 1 in SMA(RSV,3,1); mean? I took the SMA of RSV over 3 periods and get a similar result to yours but it's still not quite right. For my SMA calc I just did a simple SMA = (day1 + day2 + day3) / 3
Sorry for misleading. I fogot SMA is not Simple Moving Average in this formula.
The formula I used is
Y=SMA(RSV,n,m)=(m*RSV+(n-m)*Y')/n
Y' means previous Y
when n = 3 and m = 1
Y=SMA(RSV,3,1)=(RSV+2*Y')/3
when m = 2, it close to EMA

hi, I want to calculate KDJ for data analyze, I am using the formula you use, but the result are not the same with the one in your website.
Does the default parameter in your site are KDJ(9,3,3) , K = SMA(RSV,3,1)?

another question is when calcuate RSV = (CLOSE-LLV(LOW,9))/(HHV(HIGH,9)-LLV(LOW,9))*100, if the HHV equals LLV, what the value of RSV should be? 0 or 50?

Yes. No care what the value is, CLOSE-LLV(LOW,9) always 0 if HHV equals LLV

We could not find any other way except here to contact you,. Our client - Bitcoin stock exchange  wants you to add it to your service review. How can this be done and what rules do you have?
Yes, The most important is Good reputation, High Volume, Friendly API. and the exchange must have run for at least serveral weeks to months.

Hi, excellent tool ! I use the DOGE market: http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/dogebtc

Here a suggestion, can you please add the possibility to change the ticket value ?
It's actually in DOGE, and I prefer see the Buy/Sell value in BTC, it's speak more to me to spot the volume.

Thanks again for this fantastic website!

Hi there,

Love the site. I use it everyday.
One suggestion: Can you add indicators for the grouped orderbook so that when support or resistance levels change, we can see them easier?

Right now we have to pay attention to the numbers every refresh. It would be great if we can see walls shrinking and growing with some colors (red/green) or maybe up/down arrows. So for example, if we have a whale add support at $600 with 10,000 coins, we could see the support level change from 100 to 10,100 like normal, but with an up arrow (or maybe green color for 10,100). And if this whale decides to withdraw his support of 10,000, we should see it come back to 100 but with a down arrow next to it (or maybe just color 100 as red) If we use colors, the bigger the change, the brighter the color should be. This would make it much easier to see those changes in support and resistance!

Five lines seems too much for depth hints. But good for dedicated depth charts such as bitcoinity did.

This has been bugging me for quite a while, and I'm sure others would agree.

The scaling of the candles is skewed on Huobi (or any CNY chart for that matter).  You can see this by comparing a 1% candle on Huobi vs. a 1% candle on Bitstamp.  For whatever reason, Huobi's 1% candle will be much bigger than Bitstamp's 1% candle.  Meaning, when Huobi starts buying or selling, even using the same chart scales, it looks exaggerated.

Now before you go "No, you're seeing an illusion due to the fact that Huobi has a tighter spread and therefore it's typical candles are pretty small." -- this is what I thought for a while, too.  But go ahead and see for yourself.  The easiest way to do this is to scale out to a 1d chart, find a candle, note the % Amplitude, then find a candle of the same size on the other exchange (Huobi vs. any USD exchange), and you will see that they are quite different in terms of their %.

This should not happen.  I presume it's because of the way calculations are made against the CNY vs. USD, but it should not matter.  Fixed on a % and all other settings being equal, a candle should be the same size no matter what exchange or currency.
I don't think so. They are two different exchange.

For us Canadians is there any chance of adding LTC/CAD pair of CaVirtex. Alternatively Vault of Satoshi (BTC/USD/CAD, LTC/USD/CAD). I know these exchanges are lower volume, but since I commonly use them it would be great to see them on BitcoinWisdom.
Cavirtex doesn't have LTC API. VoS doesn't have historical trades API.

Is this normal to not show any lower bids?

Bitcoin Wisdom is just generally fucked and never reports the right volumes.

a) btcwisdom truncates the order book, for speed reasons as the owner says. seeing that his site is usually up during heavy trading days when the others go down, i'm inclined to follow his logic.

b) the way the order book information is displayed is unintuitive at first maybe, but before claiming it's all wrong, first understand how prices are grouped. explanation is in the btcwisdom thread in the service subforum.

c) never heard of volume being wrong. quick check matches volume shown on tradingview. care to find some evidence for your claim?

I'm the one claiming lot's of data that bitcoinwisdom is showing is fucked up:

MACD numbers are wrong, they do not match tradingview (and my own calculations at all).

Volumes are correct if you refresh the page, but if you keep it open for a couple of hours (without internet connection loss obv). It'll start showing some real messed up volumes for the past couple of candles. If you refresh the page after that the volumes will be correct again.

What seems to be correct however is:
Price, Orderbook

In the end I got tired of websites showing me wrong data, I wrote my own (private).

If you are looking for a better site tho, I can suggest tradingview (as far as I checked their numbers are correct).

Didn't know about the volume error when not refreshing page. Sounds plausible, but seems benign to me if it's solved with a reload.

Re: MACD. Did you account for different MACD parameters? Both tradingview and btcwisdom allow you to set your own parameters, which in case of tradingview includes price source itself.
According to to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MACD or http://stockcharts.com/help/doku.php?id=chart_school:technical_indicators:moving_average_conve

MACD formula is

MACD = [stockPrices,12]EMA - [stockPrices,26]EMA
signal = [MACD,9]EMA
histogram = MACD – signal

Standard MACD uses EMA to calculate signal. Trading View uses Simple MA to calculate by default, If uncheck tradingview's MACD option "Simple MA(Signal Line)", the chart will be same.

The formula you describe is correct however your results aren't. The argument you make about tradingview I knew about so I made sure I compared apples with apples (I'm no fool):

TradingView MACD Histogram Previous 30 Minutes:

-1.17

BitcoinWisdom MACD Histogram Previous 30 Minutes:

-2.2

Bitcoincharts.com MACD Histogram Previous 30 Minutes:

You can't hover over the Histogram to be sure, but it looks close to 1.2 (the same as TradingView has)
I see. I fogot when I write the formula make histogram twice to make the indicator more readable so the formula I used is histogram = 2*(MACD – signal) for histogram, and  when compared with trading view before, I checked all value except histogram. I have not decided to make the MACD follow standard or keep it more readable. but the trends is correct.

Correct Values > Readability!
I agree, but not all. At least make it an optional, let user know something is not standard. Such as Trading view uses MA instead of EMA by default.
Now I've added a parameter 'MultipleOfHistogram' to control it.

I changed timezone to Brazil West, but cannot reproduce the issue. It shows hour goes from 0 to 23 when cursor move.
Wait, the problem is real, but occurs only on Safari (5.1.10)/Macbook.  It does not occur on Fireox/PC

The problem on Safari occurs only with hours "8" and "9", on the 1h charts, they display as "0" on the crosshair cursor's bottom tab.  It does not occur on the 30m charts, so "8:0" and "8:30" display correctly.

[ ... ]
Thank you for hints. I reviewed code, there is no number convert related functions for date processing.  "08" or "09" does not exist, only "8" or "9" is used. so it should not be that reason.

Thanks for taking the time to look into it.  Well, those two hours display as "0" anyway.

If it is an octal/decimal problem, it may occur in a string-to-integer conversion function rather than in the compiler.  I found this:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/850341/how-do-i-work-around-javascripts-parseint-octal-behavior
Thank you, I review the code again, found the number conversion which is out of date processing. now the bug should be fixed.

Hey, you reduced min-candle-width, right? Looks like I can zoom out much further now! Awesome!

EDIT: quick follow-up... any chance you can implement "Dollar Volume"? As an option, so you could either see volume in BTC (default), or volume in USD (by choice)? $Vol = BTC volume * price per BTC.

Why? Because when comparing volume in the same month or so, BTC volume is great, but when you zoom out a lot and look at volume in, for example, April 2013 and December 2013, then it's almost impossible to compare the volume in BTC, so $volume becomes extremely useful.
Yes, I reduce the min width from 3px to 1px, so including the 1px space there are twice range than before.
It's no problem.
Volume in quote currency is supported.

Extremely fast, as always! Thank you. (I'll do my part and make another donation tonight)
Thank you!

thaks for the awsome tools... I pay the premium even tho half the time i dont log in to get rid of the ads )

REQUEST.

Could you put a little time in the Calculators.. this I use more then the charts I think..

ie.

ability to step down the percent diff increase over time..  (start at 20%, but after x time change the percent)
ability to save input values.. or just make them sticky past browser closure
add daily to the group by.  currently Group By:  Difficulty  Week  Month

other comments.  I dont use the Overview section at all... because NONE of those companies are shipping in stock miners like bitmain Smiley

Dynamic difficulty increasement is a bit complex for current system. I'm afraid it cannot be supported recently.
Overview was designed for allowing user custom the mining rig.  It could be supported after some updates of charts.
Daily is added.

Was wondering if LTC/CAD could be shown for the Cavirtex or is it already in the works?
Cavirtex doesn't have LTC related API or the API is not public.

Tiny bug: Time like "9:05" is displayed as "9:5" on the bottom "timebar".

Keep up the awesome work! This is an amazing tool.
It's not bug. Both hour and minute is not zero padding.
