Omg, this new algorithm is terrible.
I'd propose swithing to ppcoin's algo.

Yes I guess the PPCoin algorithm is better than this linear algorithm, which seems cause big oscillations.

It is surprising yet understandable: for IFC 120 blocks take about 60 mins by design. If two consecutive blocks took 50 mins, then when they enter or leave the 120 blocks used for retargeting, they cause huge changes for the next target, which cause this oscillation.

Two possible ways to solve this:
1. Use PPCoin algo, which is exponentially approach to the desired target, so it is not linear.
2. Set the allowable change factor much lower, say each diff change is allowed only 5%-10% (instead of a factor of 4, or 400%), this way the big diff block won't disrupt the normal diff calculations.

Omg, this new algorithm is terrible.
I'd propose swithing to ppcoin's algo.

Its not the algo.. its the dev and the ever more apparent confilct of interest.

Click the 100 or 500 tab and you'll see how the update has made things easier for the poolhoppers to eat up the blocks.

Over 100 blocks were found in less than 2 minutes. Not cool.

The algorithm is not his, it's the same as before, using the last 120 blocks to determine the next diff. The only difference is that instead of doing it every 120 blocks, now it is doing it every block. But the base is still last 120 blocks, I'd expect fluctuations should be smoothed out, but apparently it is not the case.

Do a diff in the code, there's no change in the algorithm itself, except diff retarget at every block instead of every 120 blocks.

Three more days ! WTF

Do you really need to milk this for another 3 MORE FREAKIN DAYS !

Problably more like a week if the hoppers shoot the difficulty up to 20 by 'accident'.

I am hereby announcing a new classification of coin !

First we had junk-coins.. then the shit-coins hit the fan... and now .. ooohh baby.. I present to you .. the very first..

LETS-SHIT-ON-THE-MINER-COIN. :/

I was wondering why you hate so much this coin, as if I remember correctly, you used to be a supporter of IFC. Now I get the answer, by looking at your recent posts, you become a supporter of that shameless coin that try to steal the name of IFC (something V2 right?). So now your interest is to do sabotage here.

Please go away. You don't like IFC, then don't worry about it. It's very simple. No need to join some other haters and post garbages here.

Everyone knows hard fork is a serious thing, that we need time so everyone can upgrade, and so the fork will be successful.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC high coins per block! V1.4 Released! *Please Upgrade* on: September 13, 2013, 04:44:30 AM

288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AsicCoin (ASC) | SHA256 - The coin for ASIC Mining! | No Premine on: September 12, 2013, 10:30:49 PM
hmm it looks like pay outs are x3 now i though it was x5 for 2 days?

check block numbers, i guess with ASICs, you can't avoid instamining since the hash power is huge out there.

also it's more than 1.5 days (almost 2 days) since it is launched.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements on: September 12, 2013, 08:18:07 PM
Please add SAV, TGC, ASC, TEK, NET, all zero premines...

THIS COIN IS A FREAKIN SCAM.
