281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Middle East Richest Business Man, Won't Invest In Bitcoin on: March 04, 2018, 06:09:28 AM
He will change his mind once he felt bitcoin is taking over the financial system. He might be a good businessman but I bet he's not great when it comes to innovations.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin has role to play in the future? on: March 04, 2018, 03:15:15 AM
It does. It's role is to reshape the way we use money and stop getting manipulated by these greedy banks that just offers you more debt when they offer financial help and smart investments.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: March 04, 2018, 02:56:50 AM
No but I'm very confident that real money will be treated as poor man's money and transacting using cryptocurrency will be perceived that you are one of the wealthy individuals.
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do u agree that Bitcoin will go to 500,000$ in 2020 by john Macafee claim ? on: February 12, 2018, 01:15:35 PM
I was full of positivity when I heard that in December but now it's funny because everything turned 360° and that $500k looks foggy now but don't get me wrong because I still support bitcoin and it's just now is not the time to talk about it.
285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: February 12, 2018, 12:37:00 PM
It cannot keep increasing forever. The higher the value, the slower the increase. I'm certain that if we reach $500k then that's the time that it will take months or years to see it increase again.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is currently losing money on bitcoin? on: February 12, 2018, 12:25:24 PM
Not me. I only sold those coins that there are still profit because I originally planned holding it for a few months to multitply that profit but plans have changed. Now, I'm just holding all the btc and crypto that keep falling in value.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought at 19k, now what? on: February 12, 2018, 12:15:46 PM
I bought 3 btc on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.

I think you are one of those who felt the FOMO in December but set your worries aside because I'm congratulating for not selling on this back-to-back crash because it's expected for a newbie to do that. Just hold it and maybe we lost the first quarter but the war is still not over.
288  Economy / Economics / Re: We need to do something about all the scams on: February 12, 2018, 11:32:33 AM
Hey there,

I am a blockchain developer and most of my work consists in auditing Blockchain projects, criticising their use-case and proposing solutions and guidances.
What really kills me is the amount of scams and useless projects based on economic scarcity, fomo and proof of stupidity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1ZYGuJXBQE)

The reasons why we have to fight scams are fairly simple:
- Scams attract regulators
- More scams attract more scammers
- People invest blindly but if given the change to understand a project based on a professional analysis I'm sure many will think twice between sending those guys money.
- You know what is worse than exit scams? Shell projects that never get finished or have no traffic because their use case is pure BS.

I propose listing all the ICO scams here that can't correctly justify their use case, presumably scams:

* EQUI https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2888110.0
The guys weren't able to justify the use of their token and don't answer to critics and questions. More importantly they provide a passive return on investment which fails the Howey test (http://consumer.findlaw.com/securities-law/what-is-the-howey-test.html). They use their public image in order to attract suckers. Based on their use of proceeds they reserve 30% in order to develop the platform. 30% of 72 million to develop a react website with a postgres database and link it to infura (i assume they didn't even think about that). Laughable at best.

I think you sir need to lead that way especially for those newbies out there. It's really easy to manipulate them when you show them attractive visuals with lot of jargons so I hope the smerits that I gave you will inspire you to do that.
289  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need price crashes and panic selloffs on: February 12, 2018, 08:57:23 AM
We need it for correction and to give chance for others to get it cheaper but I think we have too much right now. It's becoming unhealthy and it should stabilize or else, we are either going back to the start or resume this revolution on the next few years.
290  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 economists just eviscerated bitcoin, saying it should be trading at $20 on: February 12, 2018, 08:40:25 AM
It's not them that will decide on that matter but the market itself. We did not go $20k and then down to $6k because someone just said it should be, it happened because it's the reaction of the investors affected by the news or on their own beliefs.
291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get out while i can on: February 12, 2018, 08:21:37 AM
Really worried about the price of bitcoin in teh last week particularly,
The senate meeting is in 2 hours about possibly adding regulations to bitcoin in teh US,
Should I just sell before the meeting incase the price really fall?
Any advise, if they decide to add regulation any speculation of the price drop?
Thanks in advance Shocked

The US Senate Hearing turns out to be a very positive for the market as we have recovered to $8K already. I guess I'm late to advise you but I hope you didn't dump your coins and continue to hodl as of this very moment.

We have been in a very tumultuous months following the big spike at $19K. We have lost so much around 60% already that why we have that feeling that you would rather sell everything instead of losing all.

I hope that this will be a lessons for you, never ever panic and just continue to hodl because it will be just a matter of time before we can all bounce back from this crisis.

I am also glad it turned out that way while we are in the middle of this devastating crash. It's like a small light of hope in a very dark tunnel and we just need to hold a bit longer to see that tunnel's end which is much brighter.
292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin reach to $700? on: February 12, 2018, 08:04:56 AM
No way. The first people who stayed with bitcoin until now are the only people who will make it to go that price if they ever left.  We have reached this far so I doubt that they will ever dump bitcoin on that price.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: wait for bitcoin prices to go up on: February 12, 2018, 07:44:39 AM
will this year be the same as last year's year after the Chinese New Year's celebration of the bitcoin price rises again and even exceeds the previous high, I expect bitcoin to rise from this decline, and we as users should be able to keep the price in the way we do not panic at seeing a price drop because this is all just a matter of time

can bitcoin rise after the turn of the new lunar year later?

I don't think so. I don't see any connection that will drive them to buy. We can hope but it's better to be prepared that it's not because Chinese New Year happened last year and it did not affect bitcoin to go up.
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Chinese New Year boost crypto market cap? on: February 12, 2018, 07:21:57 AM
Chinese New Year is a tradition to celebrate with luck beliefs and bitcoin is not one of them and we know that China is trying to ban it completely so this will not affect its price at all.
295  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: February 12, 2018, 07:02:21 AM
I kind of agree on things you say and the longer it goes, I feel impatient on how bitcoin will end up. Bitcoin is becoming a global headline but it's still like a product that still needs a finishing touch. Maybe you are against with it but I still hope things will change.
296  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: February 12, 2018, 06:35:02 AM
I think the most effective way is to practice yourself not going to the malls or online stores because it's one of the most tempting places to spend so keep your distance away as long as you can.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being taxed? on: February 06, 2018, 02:21:26 AM
I know that things like this is inevtiable but please don't take this as a disadvantage guys. Taxing is part of regulating crypto and regulation means it's much safer for new investors' perception and to avoid bitcoin getting used on money laundering and drug deals.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hands up.. robbery. on: February 05, 2018, 01:30:03 PM
These criminals are just basically letting police to catch them easily. These robbers still need to encash their btc so if the authorities follow the transactions then it's easy for them to locate these criminals.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: February 05, 2018, 01:22:03 PM
It's very unfair that people partner bitcoin with criminality because the physical cash has been used many times and not just for drugs and money laundering but worse than that. If crypto get much more regulated, I'm sure that these criminal activites going below minimal.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin even have a future? on: February 05, 2018, 12:40:45 PM
It does. The technology behind bitcoin is too advanced for others and that is the reason why it is taking for so long  for the mass to accept it. It's just like the mobile phone and internet that sounds absurd but it eventually ruled our lives at this present time.
