It is a bit strange that you got btc address being not verified. Maybe this part of user interface should be reviewed. I was not able to send any money before my id/address were verified, so I had no issues later

I would say they declare 1% for charity? In Lithuania that very often means donations for parties or money to get avoiding taxes. Do not know how will be in case of tokendesk, but that is how it is there. As example atm biggest liberal party is under investigation because one of vice presidents had charity fund with unclear financing

It is a sad state of affairs, but as you have admitted "I started working without any contract signed" then it is unlikely that you have any legal standing. It sounds like typical politician behavior, run with a project that seems like a winner, while paying out minimal costs and moving on if it doesn't break through. Most ICOs end up collapsing, so if you're going to work in that market then expect this to happen a lot.

You may lose not only money but also your cc data. check on bitcointalk, check in google is it legit or not. do not use it if you find 2-3 bad referencies and only similar number of good. As example there was advertising buysomebitcoins.com nice looking site, operating several month. all that time guy was collecting info, then at the end of july scammed with over 11btc (40k$) and number of personal loans. Thing, what he can do with data provided during registration and first 'successful' purchases. That guy (buysomebitcoins) reported there in scammers section, but he is deleting comments, trying to build trustpilot opinion etc. so be carefull
