281  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to limit only certain participants to post in a thread ? on: April 17, 2021, 11:54:04 AM
Please check rule number 26
26. Local thread rules, if stated properly when the thread was started, specific enough and don't conflict with the forum rules, have to be followed.

So, considering this rule, the topic starter reserve the right to restrict who will post in their thread :-D

That rules were published in 2014 but check theymos update on this rule no 26 in 2015, as such local threads should be replaced with self-moderated topics.

26. Local thread rules, if stated properly when the thread was started, specific enough and don't conflict with the forum rules, have to be followed.[e]

26.
Those were mostly replaced by self-moderated topics, but local rules can be enforced at the moderator's discretion.
282  Other / Meta / Is it allowed to limit only certain participants to post in a thread ? on: April 17, 2021, 11:35:08 AM
I just came across a thread [Participants Only] [IPL 2021] Prediction pool and discussion where you are only allowed to post if you participated in the pool. If you do not participate and post there, people will report the posts so that mods will delete them
Quote
Local rules: Pool participants, sponsor/banner representative are only allowed to discuss in this topic.
If you are not in the pool then your comments will be reported to the mods to be deleted.

My questions are :-

1. Is it right to limit only certain participants to post in a public thread ?

2.  There are number of reasons where a post should be reported but if any non-member post a good constructive post, it is right to report his post ?

3. Will the mods will delete the post because it does not follow the local rule but followed all the forum rules ?

Note: I am not against this thread but i want to be clear on these points. I think it would be better if  a Self-moderated thread was created for
this purpose ?

Hotbit is SCAM. They stolen my MONEY.

I had my account at hotbit but never used it much. I only use that exchange to buy any tokens which are not available anywhere else. I am also not sure about the reputation of that exchange but i was never scammed till now perhaps the reason i did not deposit much. After reading your sad incident, i would be more careful and withdraw my remaining funds on the exchange.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE is living proof of Influential Power of Rich People! on: April 17, 2021, 05:17:18 AM
Elon musk's promotion or campaign power has made the world shake and invited many great people to participate in the crypto space to invest in Dogecoin so the price of Dogecoin is really very good.

This is very strange that people are interested in investing in DOGE and not in other useful coins. Are they only invest by seeing the tweets of Elon Musk ?
They do not do their own research and blindly investing in DOGE. Sooner or later, they will get REKT. A plot is set to fool these people and they are not aware of the dump which is coming on them.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the most commonly USED crypto currency in the future? on: April 17, 2021, 12:41:03 AM
I think Bitcoin will be held like gold. Maybe even Ether as well.

But I'm personally thinking maybe dogecoin, maybe.... XLM and XRP, as well as Bitcoin cash, Dash, maybe lite coin. Of course USDT type.

I think many people, when the masses start using it more frequently. Will stick to older common coins that can be found at any crypto ATM and have the lowest fees and fastest transaction time.

Anyone disagree or have anything to add?

A few days ago i asked this question from one of my friend (who is new in crypto) and he told me that Doge coin is the future and it will replace all other currencies.
I could not stop laughing at that time but it is a moment of concern if many people in the crypto space have this similar thinking.

288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin a real coin? on: April 16, 2021, 05:51:33 PM
doge coins have been participating in cryptocurrencies for a long time, and before any new coins appeared, doge was one of the favorite coins of the lower middle class investors. This is my assumption.

But it has no value until recently when Elon Musk started to pump this coin through his tweets. It might perform well in the current bull run all because of its hype but i don't think this coin can be in our holding portfolio. Just buy this coin and exit it as soon as it pumps.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE is living proof of Influential Power of Rich People! on: April 16, 2021, 05:29:58 PM
I wonder if Elon Musk's latest tweet has any effect on the doge coin to rise this much? It seems that it is not just related to Elon's tweet. However, it is a fact that it seems that there will be many people who will take dogecoin because it is rising anyway and will hold doge for a long time.

The community behind the dogecoin is very strong. You will find many people shilling about this coin on tik tok and other social media. I know people who do not know anything about crypto but still they like and invest in dogecoin as they heard it about on the social media platforms. Also the hype of 1 dollar doge is making people think its real and they are investing blindly in this coin.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BTC on: April 15, 2021, 06:21:19 PM
Bitcoin has a bright future in the future, many already believe in bitcoin, where we can see the development of bitcoin in trading, such as buying  Tesla cars, paypal have also accepted payments with bitcoin in their payments

The future of Bitcoin is very bright . As more and more companies uses Bitcoin we will see a considerable decrease in the use of Fiat currencies. Potential of Bitcoin will be seen when there will be no paper money used anywhere in the world and the whole world has one currency and that would be Bitcoin.
291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does it still make sense to dollar cost average when the market is crazy bull? on: April 15, 2021, 05:29:02 PM
Hi, normally I'm a fan of dollar cost averaging.  But I'm thinking of not really dollar cost averaging because the market is obviously a very bull market right now for BTC.

What do you think will be the best strategy to enter the bitcoin market today?

Pick the lowest dip I can find say, this week, and invest all my principle. Or, dollar cost average anyway....if so, over what time horizon? Surely not over the next year.  Maybe a week? A month?

I personally believe that the train has almost left the station, which is why I am wondering if it makes no sense to dollar cost average at this time.

You can still do the dollar cost averaging while buying bitcoin even in the bull market. In a bull market, you will never see a coin which rises continuously.
There are always times when the bitcoin prices drop by 20 to 30%. You can buy in these dips in the bull market and keep doing the dollar cost averaging which is by far a safest investment method.
292  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary trying to enroll 2 Alt Accounts at the same signature campaign on: April 15, 2021, 01:30:43 PM
I asked hilariousandco's advice about this very question a year or two ago, and if I recall correctly he told me that regardless of whether it's stated in the campaign rules, enrolling multiple accounts in the same campaign is a tag-able offense.  And as far as I know, it's been a rule in all of Yahoo62278's campaigns and pretty much every other one as well.

I don't believe I said this or you may have misinterpreted what I said. It's 100% not against the forum rules. As far as theymos or the mods are concerned you could have 100 accounts on the same campaign just as long as they're not shitposting en masse. I may have said something along the lines of the community often deems it a tagable offence. Personally I would think it's basically a terms of service violation of the campaign if it states only one person and if people want to tag people for it I wouldn't make an argument against that but I don't believe it's a crime either.

There are some people on the forum who wish every Legendary or Hero member to be tagged and they will not spare any single incident to enforce a red tag  Cheesy
I don't know about this mentally, maybe its hard to rank Legendary and some low ranked members didn't like old Legendries enjoy the privilege they gained at the time when forum had no merits.
293  Other / Meta / Re: How can I delete my forum account? on: April 12, 2021, 06:11:24 PM
I no longer need my account and haven't used it in 3 years or so...
How can I delete it? I haven't found an option so far...

Thanks!

It look like that this account is irritating you and you want to get rid of it which is impossible. Why not change the password of this account to some random password and then forget the password. This way you won't be able to login and then you will stop thinking about deleting the account as you will have no access to it.  Smiley

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: list of bounties good quality (new update 04_04_2021) on: April 12, 2021, 05:36:14 PM

I'll always carryout some personal check and if I don't find any reason to think a project is a scam I'll accept their offer although this doesn't mean the project can't or won't turn into a scam in the future (founder get greedy sometimes and choose money over good name) although I hope not because Investing my time into managing the project.

That's the only reason people prefer to join your bounties over the bounties started by the random persons.
Every one should know that no one is perfect but since you do your initial homework before accepting the campaign, give people more hope of the bounty project to be a successful one.
By joining the bounty by CryptopreneurBrainboss, Hhampuz and yahoo62278, there are more chances of the project to be a good one and the tokens will be paid on time.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in BNB now? on: April 10, 2021, 01:15:16 PM
in my opinion it is a good time to invest in bnb has climbed several positions in the top ten of coingecko reaching the third position, then in the space of a week it grew by about $ 100 reaching today its all-time high of 446.11 $ however it seems to settle for now above $ 400 but still it seems to me that the uptrend will continue
I agree with you. I sold 1 BNB for only $304 on March 31, today the price of BNB is $445 in ten days interval. CoinMarketCap ranks third in the top rank kings. Considering that, I believe BNB will compete with Ethereum in the future.

Do you regret selling your BNB holding for so cheap ? It may be good for your if you are holding it when its price was under 50$ few months before.
However, BNB at 440$ is still cheap and it will reach 1000$ or more within this year.

It depends whether you are buying BNB for long term or short term ? If you are buying bnb for short term then you can wait for the price retracement however if you are buying for long term then i would suggest that you can buy it now because in the long term bnb can reach the price equal to Ethereum.

Although we enjoyed a lot on this NFT day but did anyone miss Lauda on this event ?

No.

The cats NFTs are in demand and could be the most worthy ones to buy  Tongue

brb while I kill myself Cheesy

298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT are making more sense on: April 09, 2021, 09:38:06 AM
NFT will bring huge disaster to many in near future because they are too overpriced and many of them are less useful, they are created of nothing but useless hypes, the only useful NFT I know are in gaming NFT projects

Some people are buying expensive tweets NFTs and others are buying unique paintings NFT at very high prices. Maybe they will not feel this as a loss because these are those people who have a lot of money and they can afford to keep these unique items with them. However, i don't think anyone is buying expensive NFT to sell it at more higher prices.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low volume coins good for investment now? on: April 04, 2021, 11:55:00 AM
Can a coin with very low 24hrs volume still brings profit? For example zclassic, the volume isn't even up to 20k in 24hrs, is it worth the risk or it's a big no for you? What do you think about this?

You can invest in low volume coins but there are more risky. On the other hand, if you do not want to take risk, then you can invest in high volume coins but the ROI will be less as compare the low volume coins. Now it depends upon you how much risk you are willing to take ?
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 04, 2021, 11:02:31 AM
Arey when did this Temba Bavuma guy become South Africa captain? Is he captaining for this particular tour or its a real deal for the proteas. He only played 8 ODI and got the chance of leading the team, great.. Just great!

Yup  Temba Bavuma is the young South african captain . In recent times, he is the first black African cricketer to be the captain for South Africa.
Previously they had an era where they had Hansie Cronje, Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla and other white people as their captain. Will this be the beginning of a new era for south africa ?
