A lot of new money has been coming in into crypto and after going into bitcoin they are looking at alternate currencies where then can invest and make even better returns that bitcoin. We are at the beginning of the new alt coin bull run.

During the previous bull run of alts which started with ethreium, I watched it grow from 60 USD to almost 300 USD. And I did not buy it when it was 60$ thinking that it was at all time high. Don't make the same mistake that I made before.

Yes, for me in the longer term most alts will remain always "alt". The only reason I buy alts is to increase my bitcoins. Now there might be some exceptions for sure, such as OMG, ETH, 0X or waves, but apart from handful of these, most are going to be of no value.

Why sell them cheap if holding them can make you more money? Unless you are selling the airdrop coins and buying some other alt of your choice then it is fine, else do not do it. It is not wise to sell when everyone is dumping.

I must say that after looking at all the alts taking a plunge with the rising USD value of bitcoin and seeing eth being the only exception, I am falling in love with it. Maybe it will keep of rising with the rising value of bitcoin in the longer term also.

What new records are you talking about? Bitcoin has been smashing all records and making new all time highs every other week like its a childs play for it to do so. These days when I hear that bitcoin has made a new all time high, it does not even excites me anymore.

My regret was doing too much research and not buying alts when I entered crypto in april 2017! Everyone cautioned me that I should wait and watch how markets work and while I was observing and learning everything shot up to the sky.

Etherium is an exception when it comes to alts. Although it is nowhere close to bitcoin but at the same time in my opinion etherium has taken a position above all other alternate currencies. Even if you want to stay away from it you cannot, atleast not if you want to buy into ICO's.

Now would be a good time to buy Etherium considering long term goals. However the best time to purchase it was couple of weeks ago when it was trading under 300 USD. But still I would say go ahead and buy it.

ICO's are definitely a great way to multiply our money. I have had more success investing in ICO's rather than trading alt coins. Bitcoin blockchain is publically available so anyone at any time of any day when they want can create a fork of bitcoin. The problem is about how to make it popular. The same goes for all other publically blockchain available coins.

There is no one place where you can go and find a trustable ICO. Also I am not sure what is the definition of trustable for you. For me when I am looking to invest in any ICO I look in the problem that the ICO is solving, do they really need a blockchain to do it and lastly the team behind the project.

I think that most governments will put a blanket on ICO's, some have even gone ahead with it and banned its citizens to participate in ICO's. Moreover as crypto matures with time most crypto investors will get smart enough to distinguish between real and fake ICO's.

Has anyone looked into SMSChain? So they are going to be a decentralized SMS gateway. They have already raised almost 1.3Million USD. I have yet not participated into this ICO yet but literally found this one today only. So what is SMS Chain? For Long term investment bitcoin definitely is my choice. The thing with etherium is that its value is based only because of smart contract feature and hence so many ICO's accept ETH in return of their tokens. Soon EOS or Tezos may offer a better option.

For trading it will take a lot of time and even more effort that you will need to put in before you can expect any results. Most traders loose 70% of their invested money in crypto. On other hand if you invest in ICO , you need to do your research about hte project and team you are investing in.
Rather why not buy cheap alts such as etherium classic and waves for long term?

In most cases any alts with active developers and a close knit community around it, if it has strong fundamentals it has to pump one day for sure. Then there are pump and dump shit coins, which you should stay away from.

I think ripple, waves, etherium and any other alt coins that have been around for a few years and are at all time low prices should be safe bets at this time to invest in.
