281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised Exchanges are the Biggest Enemies of Bitcoin on: March 06, 2022, 04:30:35 PM
The ideology behind crypto is freedom and liberty from the current government system(s) that are inherently wrong and elitist.

HOWEVER

Centralised exchanges such as Coinbase, Kraken and Binance take a noble idea of bringing Bitcoin to the masses and mock it by affiliating with governments (and governmental agencies) that the very concept of Bitcoin is designed to rebel against.

Big CEXs are killing the original bitcoin spirit by forcing users to pay tax on gains, freezing user's assets, preventing users from using their service depending on their IP and more.

This is horrible. This is not what bitcoin is. This is not freedom. This is not liberty.

Taxes contribute to the regimes that so many of us are against. How can we continue using companies whose values don't align with ours?

Taxes are theft and fund wars and needless bloodshed in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and more.

The solution is pretty clear: More projects need to be released that are focused on building sustainable decentralised solutions to enable users to trade and purchase bitcoin (and crypto in general). Right now the main areas of focus need to be security and simple UI/UX interfaces.

And we need to stop using CEX and funding what we are all against.

Is it really the CEXs that force you to pay TAX on gains or your Country? I thought those were fees on trades Huh I believe that traders should know better now not to keep hodling their crypto bags on CEXs, so that they can reduce all these issues of wallet freezing and as for preventing their services to some location, I know some inline stores do that too like they don't ship to your country so not all regions will enjoy every service by some organization or Business.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not save Russia from sanctions on: March 05, 2022, 04:52:49 PM
Russia is fine. Russian elites especially Putin are fine if he won't be taken down from his regime.

Only Russians have troubles and we see on media how they panic went to ATMs and banks for money withdrawals. In addition, we can feel how bad their finance is short term when Rube lost its value a lot in the last week. Now there is rumor (I am not sure it has been officially yet) that Putin orders local banks and agencies there don't allow Russians to go abroad with more than $10,000.

What the fucking regime! They can do anything they want on behalf of people.
I really don't think that Russia is fine and even the Elites (Russian oligarch) and even Putin aren't really fine with all the sanctions that are coming down on the country. If Russia was fine do you think that the so-called rumor will happen? Estimation is that the first five days of the war may have cost Russia as much as $7 billion in direct military costs and with all the sanctions, how long will this type of spending hold?
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin surpasses Russian Ruble - now top 15 currency on: March 05, 2022, 04:27:13 PM
When the war is over it will take sometime i would say but longer for Russian Ruble to get back to pre war value due to the ongoing sanctions, don't forget war will end but these sanctions will have long lasting effect on Russian economy and it's the sanctions which destroyed Iraqi economy.

Even incase if Russian Ruble bounces back and have more valuation of Bitcoin still it will not have significant impact of Bitcoin's value as this conflict is not the only factor which decides bitcoin's price, this will infact bring in more investors towards Bitcoin.
[/quote

I agree too. I believe those that had doubts about Bitcoin and have invested in Bitcoin because of the war most have understood why Bitcoin is an important asset to hold regardless of any season and even after the war is over, I still believe that current investments in Bitcoin will not be negatively affected that much to make any great significance.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be Cautious and take Caution. on: March 05, 2022, 04:16:56 PM
Op you are right concerning your opinion. The Russia-Ukraine invasion  many people will use it as an advantage to generate money for themselves claiming they are taking donations that will favour the citizens but it is untrue. If one must do any donation it is important  to make sure that where the money is to be donated is genuine,  people just need to be careful not to allow scammers to take advantage of them.  OP thanks for letting the public get aware about this.

Really shame on those people who do not care for the innocent people dying in the war, but they only care for themselves and talking money as donations but spending them on themselves. Don't they have any fear of god  Huh
This is why they are known as Bad people and being bad means they have lost every morality in them. Caring about the feelings of others is no longer a thing for them, this is why they are comfortable scamming people regardless of the situation, once they believe it is an opotunity to make some money, scamers will take it.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine to launch an airdrop on: March 02, 2022, 01:54:27 PM
It's strange that they take the donation and use it to do an airdrop, I don't understand how complicated this process is. I don't care what I get from them when the giving is to share some economic support for those in need. Don't turn this into a give and take program. I hope those responsible for this need to think more seriously and clearly, don't use money sarcastically.
Well, I don't know if they are using the donation for the airdrops but I think it is most likely anyways, I understand that there have already been about $33 million worth of crypto donations already before the airdrop announcement and just about $7million worth of donation after the airdrop announcement, how much will the airdrop cost cos this might be to different network or will they do it to just a specific network? I too believe they should make good use of the donations where it is needed the most.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia's approval of BTC on: March 02, 2022, 01:26:59 PM
Congratulation to Russia government for this good decision to accepted bitcoin in their country.  The government will try to build more institution that will  impact their citizens about bitcoin in the societies.
Russian economy must definitely change positively in this season for the good step the government has took to adopted decentralized currency to their citizens .
Now that bitcoin price is about to increase higher in the exchange market, it will be better for Russian citizens to use this opportunity to buy more of bitcoin and hold for the price to increase higher before they can sell to make a good profit.
Is there a confirmation to this supposedly "good decision to accepted bitcoin in their country" you are talking about? I don't think this news has been confirmed and even if it has which I still say it hasn't, how much of an investment do you think the Russian people will make with the level of the country's currency right now?
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is going up during war? on: March 02, 2022, 01:12:05 PM
Perhaps the rise in bitcoin is another manipulation because not many people in Russia buy bitcoins. Here, on the contrary, most have withdrawn fiat from their deposits, some have bought dollars. So far, no one is thinking about cryptocurrency. Perhaps there is a demand for bitcoins because Ukraine is collecting donations in cryptocurrency.
I kinda agree with you here about the Russian people buying Bitcoin or any other crypto for that matter cos we all know that at times like this, most are more concerned about having Fiat currency for daily needs however I don't think the rise in price in the past days is out of another manipulation. Even this Russian/Ukrain war, the market does witness up and downs in price, and if you are a bit TA person, you would judge differently too from what I see.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine on: March 01, 2022, 07:10:17 AM
Didn't you see the tweet about donating to Ukraine earlier than him?
Just ten minutes after the official Ukrainian release,AOM, a Defi application token, also donated 1,000 tokens to Ukraine
I don't think it is a question of who donated first but about the overall generosity of the action by Binance and every other institution or individuals that are donating to help the country and by the way, 1000 token of what? 1000 BTC or ETH or what? you never specify.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MEME coin rule the world? on: February 25, 2022, 06:00:35 PM
DOGE is a blockchain coin a fork from Litecoin built on Scrypt.. has significantly lower fees than Shiba Inu which isn’t even a coin it’s just a simple ERC20 token based on Ethereum network with insanely high fees… DOGE is better for any real world adoption but Shiba is good at market and flashy shit that does very little.
If we have to be quite frank, none of them is worth investing in, forget all those stories of Dogecoin being a fork of Litecoin or whatever, what is any of their use case outside hype.
Quote
Dogecoin has been propped up by nothing more than social media hype and unfulfilled promises of "going to the moon" by Elon Musk. However, it's already retraced 77% from its all-time high. By comparison, Shiba Inu gained around 46,000,000% in a single year, and has only retraced by a little more than 60%. Based on the magnitude of reversions we've witnessed in the crypto space following six-digit percentage gains in the short term, as well as SHIB's virtually nonexistent real-world utility, a pullback of 99% could very well occur.
So at the end of the day, no one is stopping you from investing in what you want to cos the money is yours but I don't think one is better than the other in terms of use case.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - Russia war crisis. Will Bitcoin be legalized soon? on: February 25, 2022, 04:45:58 PM

Well there is a sanction on their gas and oil, I think the only way for Russia to make business is to use othrr options. Before this BTC legalization, they were excluding USD by only using EUR. Bitcoin would make sense if they couldn't make transactions using EUR anymore.

Whatever Russia.does for BITCOIN to have adoption in their region is going to be great for crypto investors.
These sanctions are not just only from the US but the EU and other countries too have pronounced these sanctions on Russia so the option you think of them using the EUR is out of the question and even if they decided to adopt Bitcoin as a currency today which I don't think was their target but looking at if Bitcoin mining would be regulated or banned, I don't think that they could spend Bitcoin on the most essential things they might need during this time.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your opinion ? on: February 24, 2022, 08:19:51 PM
Hello i had bought link for 1400euros for price about 31euros per link and now its about 10 euros per link
i wonder should i buy more link or should i go to a safer choise like bitcoin ? or get some ada with 0.67euro per ada ? ada price ATH ada was like 2.5 euro per ada ...

an links ATH was like 42euro per link...
what would you do if you were in my place?

every though is welcome!!! i just wonder what is the wiser choise of these 3 coins ada link and btc

Bitcoin is usually the best choice for Investment however I don't think you should continue to invest in just one project, diversification is a better way to invest so I would also suggest if you cannot invest in Bitcoin which is my best choice, Ada would be good to diversify your portfolio.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: February 24, 2022, 08:13:24 PM
Coinmarketcap reports that today the 10 largest market cap crypto assets have started moving back into the green in the last 24 hours.
And this morning the most shining altcoin was Terra (LUNA) which passed 8.2% at $55.3 dollars.
Then Solana (SOL) also rose to the level of 87.32 US dollars or rose 3.5%, and Binance Exchange (BNB) which rose 3.4% to $373.4.
Likewise, the price of bitcoin is now in the position of $38,184, up 2.4% compared to the previous day.
And there are several other altcoins such as Cardano (ADA), ETH, DOT, and Dogecoin which rose 1.06% to $0.13 dollars.

Hopefully there will be more progress for all crypto prices.
I too believe that the market is trying to make a comeback cos right now, I am seeing a huge green candle but obviously, there is a resistance point to cross right at the $39600 which is very clear viewing the daily chart. Regardless of what happens from what is going on around the world now, Bitcoin will still find its way back up when the conditions are right.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 new cryptos available on Pancakeswap: Opportunities not to be missed! on: February 24, 2022, 07:56:33 PM

I believe when you want to post something like this then you know you should be able to provide some other info than just copy and paste.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World War III & Bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 07:30:25 PM
  • Will the US and Russia start World War III?
if Putin feels there wasn't any considerable resistance when invading Ukraine, nothing will stop him from continue conquering new territories towards central Europe.

The point ignored by the occident is that Kiev is 96 hours from being taken by russian forces and sanctions won't be enough to prevent Ukraine from being conquered by russians on short run.
Do you really think he really has that much power and troops to continue conquering new territories toward central Europe even if he was able to topple Ukraine's Government? I however don't think that is Putin's aim because he knows he wouldn't want to bite more than he can chew.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: February 23, 2022, 07:47:13 PM
Big lesson learnt here  Grin futures trading is too dangerous for professional traders not to talk of newbies that know so less about trading, futures is a perfect example of gambling, the risk is too high honestly.
Exactly, this is the same problem I believe is what is wrong with most newbie crypto traders because they still believe that crypto is a get-rich-quick avenue and they don't even try to do their due diligence, and even venturing into trading futures is highly risky. You can trade spot and still be safe as long as you don't sell even when the market is down but futures isn't the same thing.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economic Growth on a Bitcoin Standard on: February 23, 2022, 06:09:39 PM
Hypothetically if the USA pegged the US dollar to Bitcoin how would economic growth continue. I am a huge Bitcoin proponent but looking at it from this lens puzzles me. Restricting the printing press would, in my opinion, slow economic growth significantly. What would the world look like after this? Are there opposing viewpoints?
Factually not going to happen Grin why would you even think that the US government will peg the USD to Bitcoin? I think sometimes we overthink what we see Bitcoin as and what we think Bitcoin should be. It should be an alternative to all the craziness with fiat currencies and not to be pegged to it.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 08:30:13 PM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.
This is not new and not unless you are a newbie and have never studied the cryptocurrency market, you must have realized that this is the pattern of the market, ATHs, and follows by the bear market and for the past three months now, since Nov. 2021 we can say this has been the position of the market but how long this will be is uncertain and on the flip side, these are times for accumulation too.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way to Carry Your Seed When Traveling Or Moving Abroad? on: February 22, 2022, 08:09:55 PM
What do you mean by storing your seed online ? You're getting my pulse racing ! To me that's where a seed should never be. It should be in a safe, physical place.

For traveling, I could see several options. For example having the words in several chunks, one bit in your wallet (the one with the fiat I mean), one bit as an encrypted file on your smartphone, one bit on an encrypted file on a USB key.

But to be honest a hardware wallet is enough for me, I don't really envision the need to have my seed always with me.
I agree with you and would do the same here. I think that we might be thinking of this too hard because most of us have taken these trips before without carrying something like wallet seeds with us, was the crossing that difficult without your seeds? so I don't think it should be seen as this herculean task not unless you are a wonted person anyways.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador positions itself as the first Bitcoin city at Expo2020 in Dubai on: February 22, 2022, 07:55:58 PM
On the Expo2020 in Dubai I was happy to visit El Salvador pavilions. Honestly speaking - I think that's the best in its category (among the small pavilions).

You will see a mix of audio-visual presentations, such as the one below, which has strong message of "Bitcoin city", then in other room you have another presentation which shows the city, nature and the life there. And then - in a cafe room you can taste local coffee. And finally, near the exit - you can see they have a radio room, and they are broadcasting there. So it looks like El Salvador used the most from the space it had. And now I hope to visit it and sharing with you this short video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLcchrbZtCs

Once I found out about El Salvador's policy regarding Bitcoin, I could feel nothing but respect to the President Nayib Bukele and people of this beautiful country. I knew it, and was writing about it, that other countries will follow, and now I'm so happy to see that it's happening already. Today it's all over the news, and not only on crypto related sites, that Ukraine legalises cryptocurrencies

But however many countries will do the same thing, we'll never forget El Salvador, the first one who made the right decision.

Thanks for sharing the video, but I think we can save 97 seconds of our time, and start watching it from this moment Smiley

https://youtu.be/mLcchrbZtCs?t=97

You're right, I am thinking this might also be a quick decision for Russia as well considering the possible sanctions that the US, Canada, UK, and EU, in general, are planning on imposing on Russia for the move they have made against Ukraine. I am seeing a lot of financial restrain if those sanctions are actually announced which might also lead to a full-blown adoption of Bitcoin in Russia.

Different reasons will make different countries adopt Bitcoin at different times and as you said, the  President El Salvador Nayib Bukele
will be forever remembered for taking this bold step.

300  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 21, 2022, 04:39:45 PM
I'm not confused that BTC will reach a new ATH this year anymore since we entered 2022 every recoveries are not strong, on the long run the way is always down, what do you think? I'm i wrong or right?
I don't suppose anyone can predict where the market will be by the end of the and however there have been a couple of negative news that has continued to bring the market down mainly because of fear like the current Russia and Ukraine tension, but I do however believe that Bitcoin can do better than the previously ATH this year if there is no constant negative news.
