281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: December 06, 2017, 06:38:02 AM
I have also stopped. I have lost small amounts but it made me realize that trading is not for me.

I will just stay on course in increasing my portfolio through buying of more bitcoin and other altcoins.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins will moon in 2018? on: December 05, 2017, 09:21:28 PM
I'll bet on NEO and Waves, solid projects.
Missed the IOTA boat.. but I'm jumping ship to the two above.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Moves to 4th in Mkt Cap on coinmarketcap.com on: December 05, 2017, 09:19:35 PM
Must be due to the tech underlying the coins which is Tangle. Pretty much way faster than everyone else.
Remembered when it was just .15 cents just early November.. dang
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO to invest and hit 10x on: December 02, 2017, 07:56:06 AM
Hitting 10x early is not applicable anymore. Patience is required nowadays to hit the 10x mark.
Maybe wait for 6-12 months even if the project and team is great.

I'm picking finance related ICOs like Commerceblock and Jibrel Network.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which of the three COINS will you choose to invest in? on: December 02, 2017, 07:06:59 AM
Long term HOLD:

1. Bitcoin - king of all cryptoland
2. Ethereum - good platform and lots of potential, still undervalued
3. LTC - as hedge to Bitcoin crashes.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good Altcoin for transaction fees on: December 02, 2017, 06:50:05 AM
There are a lot of altcoins competing on that space.

1. Litecoin
2. Bitcoin Cash?
3. Vertcoin

That is just some of those I have researched.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs scam? on: December 02, 2017, 06:47:39 AM
Not necessarily, a lot are though, ICOs are crowdfunding events to source funds for blockchain projects.
It's like betting on stocks but with a lot more risk as blockchain is still not mature.

Per Vitalik, 90% of ICOs will fail, but some that will survive will surely take us to the moon. Smiley
The upside for ICOs are we normal people can get returns previously only big investors can have.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will any Crypto Surpass Bitcoin on: December 02, 2017, 06:42:39 AM
I do believe ETH has the potential to do it.
From a first approach, if never heard about crypto, and just trying to compare both of them, you would put your money on ETH.
I started a few months ago, and after reading a bit about both, ETH is the real deal.

But who knows, so far BTC just kept on growing and growing.
Maybe in a near future.

There might be something to that. They actually call it the flipening.  That's the day that Ethereum over takes bitcoin in terms of market cap.  Ethereum has quite a few high potential use-cases.  Although Bitcoins' store-of-value and first mover advantage will be difficult to over come, in a few years from now ETH has the best chance.

Ethereum has been gaining too slow. Bitcoin will stay on top for the next 5 years unless Ethereum can challenge its dominance.
The move to POS may be a good or bad thing. Investing on ETH platform through ICOs, hope they can deliver more value than Bitcoin.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest now or wait a while? on: December 01, 2017, 06:15:39 AM
Invest now, boat has not left yet. Sure to gain are BTC and ETH. You can move on to ICOs also.
290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Hit $15,000 before year end on: December 01, 2017, 04:13:08 AM
Most likely. Might even hit 20K if these price surges continues.
Healthier for the long run though to stay at around 10K even for a week.

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth going strong on: December 01, 2017, 12:46:28 AM
ETH usd price is gaining but compared to BTC, it kind of stagnated or was even outperformed. While BTC is doubling in value, ETH got stuck to 20-30% gains only.
293  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why do people hate segwit so much? on: December 01, 2017, 12:39:00 AM
Miners hate it ( and their supporters too) as it will reduce fees. Bitcoin have been a lucrative business for them but the increasing fees are hurting everyone else. Just some greedy people wanting more cut in the pie.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your method to find potential in an altcoin? on: December 01, 2017, 12:13:29 AM
Short term: How many coins will be in circulation (a small supply is better). Will it be listed on big exchanges (bittrex, binance etc...)
Successful flips primarily must have this characteristics.

Long term: For Altcoins, I primarily look into the problem it will be solving and how will it solve it. The bigger problem that is being solved the better.
Researching the team and advisors working on the project needs also to be checked as the better the team can execute the future the better the returns.

295  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is extremely slow / not working. on: November 29, 2017, 06:03:45 PM
Had several errors when making posts. Seems a lot of visitors on the site nowadays with BTC skyrocketing again.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin's future on: November 28, 2017, 06:43:21 PM
What's the reason though? I don't see many special things going on with litecoin, just pumping?

Litecoin has a very good development team. It is primarily used as hedge against drops of bitcoin.
It has been undervalued for some time already, increase in value is expected.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Breaks NEW HIGH on: November 28, 2017, 06:41:22 PM
After last tricky news, when Neo jumped to 49$ price, its already for a long time in stable form around 38 dollar.Might break out to 50 i think before new year. Not sure about any proper news coming this year

From $25 for so long, should be hitting the $50 levels soon.
Not investing on it, but looking good for the remainder of the year.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is making us money while we sleep, people! on: November 28, 2017, 06:39:44 PM
I will be sleeping much better when corrections do happen. This trend of value increases is unnerving.
Still, Bitcoin to the moon next year. 25K
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: November 28, 2017, 06:36:51 PM
It is very easy to use. Have good security too (just use recommended feature) and not private key when opening account.
Have opened two accounts - one for ERC20 tokens, other one for ETH.
300  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: November 28, 2017, 06:34:50 PM
With the unrelenting increase of value. I would classify it more as an asset.
It's value is too volatile to be a "normal" currency, though usage is like one.
