La Liga title may be more prestigious but I don't see Barcelona isn't serious in this match. They use a full team, they played with full key players. But Man United is a strong team, they are difficult to be defeated. I am sure Man United is very serious to win this competition, too. So, Barcelona can't expect that they will be easy to win against Man United and dream to play in the final round of Europa League. With this result, Barcelona isn't in a good situation to qualify for the next round. I also think that Man United has a bigger opportunity to win the second Leg and qualify for the next round.

Don't say that FCB wasn't serious about today's match cus you don't actually know if they gave in Thier best in the game and it turned out that it was just meant to be a draw game ....and nothing could be done about it. Manchester City taking the lead scares me because I know how difficult it becomes for them to lose a game when they lead in the table. I think Barcelona got the 3 points with difficulty against Villarreal. If Xavi really wants to win the title, he must make a great effort and evaluate his tactics well for the next rounds.
Barcelona's game in that match was quite bad. The finishing was very bad, there were lots of opportunities that should have been goals but they didn't happen because many were selfish, even though when they woke up the attack was really good especially after hitting 1 goal, Barca's game was quite messy, and panicked. Very often hit counter attack. Luckily Villarreal's finishing was very bad, if Barcelona had not conceded a lot. Hopefully in the future Barcelona will be even better. With this victory, Barcelona won their sixth successive victory after a narrow win over Villarreal at El Madrigal. This will be a motivation in itself to remain consistent in every game so that you can win Laliga this season. Their second half was very bad, they only created 3 goal attempts and they lost the ball possession, but the most important thing is that they got the 3 points and extended the gap to 11 points, i think Barcelona is doing really great in la Liga this year and no one can stop them from getting the title in my opinion |
