285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this FUD or a genuine cause for concern? on: March 23, 2018, 01:44:58 AM
Its a genuine concern for miners and people who use a wallet which downloads the full blockchain instead of electrum etc. This is because there is that 1 actual pic on the blockchain (not the links). These people will now have a picture of child porn on their hard drive. Possession of a copy of a child porn is always illegal no matter what. It is one of the few laws where possession establishes the entire crime and not intent. For instance if a child you dont even know randomly sends you a nude pic you are automatically guilty.

Bitcoin will drop back down to 2-3k

Yeah, halting every single mining operation in the whole white world, sure  Tongue
Why not? Whats stopping it? Weve seen it before. Actually mining is disrupting itself every day by releasing faster and faster ASICs.

Because buying btc outright vs buying back mining hardware would be a smart business move.

So youre postulating that a certain amount of people who would originally be interested in mining, are going to instead buy bitcoins? Also, they're going to buy into the downtrend and not wait for it to reverse? Even if this is true, is the amount of money coming in from these would-be miners significant enough to hold up the price? Will it outweigh millions of coins being dumped? Is it even any kind of significant number?

We did but the price and investments into mining gear were not that huge. Not even close. The price of Bitcoin is being manipulated it's clear as day. They will never allow BTC to fall that low.
Who is the one not allowing btc to fall and how are they doing it?

With ETH about to go to $30, why would anyone want to buy it?

Cool name. Proof of stake coming... new tokens every day on the blockchain, dapps
and a single monarch who forks the coin to protect his own investments in failed dapps

DOOOOOM

Believe it or not there are everyday hardworking people who dont want to have to go through the gruelling stress of following markets and doing research and using exchange systems and they just want to hire someone else to manage their money for a modest return.
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: More bad news: G20 wants to regulate crypto's on: March 21, 2018, 08:14:26 AM
Regulation will start out good but then slowly invasive old-world concepts will sneak in until you find yourself required to hold your coins on coinbase or give the gov a copy of your private key or else youre a felon.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: When the price of bitcoin will go back to it's previous highest?? on: March 21, 2018, 08:11:49 AM
Do you mean the old ATH of $1250?
298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 21, 2018, 04:01:29 AM
This was not the first Wall Observer thread. No one talks about it. We all just whistle past that graveyard of rekt page bulls now. But I remember.

They could also fork or split the thread and send all the old posts to an archive leading us to start over from a worthless thread with 1 page. Poloniex should open up leverage shorting immediately.

Pages are artificially scarce. Even if the users run out of posts they are willing to dump, a mod could jump and just start deleting posts himself.
