281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.2 on: January 22, 2018, 03:25:44 AM
Hi folks,

Im testing an amd rx 560 with claymore v11.2 but got BSOD without overclocking and the bios is stock.

Tryed using the blockchain edition driver (when start the program got : Thread_stuck_driver)
Tryed using adrenalinde 17.12.1  (when start the program got : video_tdr_failure)

Anyidea what should be?

What drivers should i install?

Regards

Hi folks,

For this version what is the best performance recommended drivers? Blockchain?

Other question Smiley

Cant put an rx 580 and 560 together gives me bluesreen while install bockchaindrivers, only one or another .. Sad

Anytip?

Regards

They just don't play well with 580s even under linux. I just pulled a 560 and tossed it in a pile with my 550 and old HD cards; crap
.

Even the 570 grinds my gears, 580 or bust!

hey thanks for anwser,

Thats what i thought Smiley

hi all,

right now i'm using 1 vega 56 and 2 rx 560, the monitor is plugged into rx 560

is there anyway to edit the run.bat so it can detect the vega 56 even is not plug with monitor?

i've already try plugged the monitor into vega, but there's no display when rx 560 is plugged too..

BUt 560 are not supported in xmr cast , right?

hi guys, trying my first Radeon build. Got 8 Nitro+ Sapphire Vega 64. Right now I am testing it out with 4 plugged in.

Installed a blockchain driver.

Only in Radeon panel
Renabled HBCC Memory on each card
, did not use Afterburner or any other tool

Used settings :

Frequency% -30%
Frequency MHz - 1050 MAX
Manual fan speed - min 1300 max 3300
Power limit -20%

I am testing out on ETN mining. Got 1930-1940 H/s on each.

The problems I have right now.

Somehow the fan speed info in every tool I have ( Radeon panel and HWiNFO ) are showing wrong numbers.

When I've installed clean windows and Vegas were not recognized all fans were spinning. As soon as I have installed blockchain drivers the fans stopped, did not move at all at no load.

I guess that's what NITRO+ Sapphire version does - from what I've gathered on the net. They are set up so the fans kick in at certain temp level. They do have huge heatsink fans so it helps.

With no moving fans, I still got the info that they spin at 688 in Radeon settings panel. Wierd.

After I've manually changed speed control on the fans in the settings - bumping the low value to 1300 RPM they started to spin.

3 cards are spinning the fans all the time. Don't see any change in the speed from the sound and look, and the info on RPM is constant around 1600-1700.

One card for some reason has problems with fans - from time to time, every 15-20sec or so they go to complete stop, and just after they stop they start to spin up again. What could cause that? They are connected in the same fashion to PSU.

Now the power consumption. I'm a bit worried that they suck that much. I was hoping to go under 1500W for 8 card rig. Can't really say how much each card itself pulls - Can't find a way to show stats like that in Cast XMR miner.

Do you guys know how to show Wattage in the command line ?

So my 4 card right now pulls around 1200W - that is way to much.

Any ideas on how to make it more efficient?
How to better control the fans ?

Use trixx software and program an custom fan setting works great for me only for fan control Smiley

Hello Guys,

I'm mining ETN for two (and some more days) months. From my experience till now the best pool for mining electroneums is
etn.cryptonighthash.com
because it has only 0.01% fee, it's stable and secure.
Please check it, you won't regret.

with 3 miners?

Hello Colleagues.
I must that I am not really good in scripting so my overall image when trying to do something according to tutorials does not seem to work out.
A month ago I begin mining ETH. I managed to get a lot of experience regarding ETH mining and I have a 8 GPU rig mining ETH.
I have now 2 x Vega 56 GPU with an AM4 motherboard and an A8 9600 APU.I managed today to make both of my Vega 56 to work on this motherboard (Gigabyte AB350-Gaming 3) as my second GPU was getting Error 12 (Not enough resources allocated) - just in case someone drops into this problem: the solution is - exactly the solution to the same problems with AMD GPU's that get trouble to be detected...disable the 4G Decoding. It worked for me like a charm.
Now I have a problem: I run the cast_xmr-vega (run file) but it only detect GPU 0, where is my GPU 1?
How can I enable it.
As Cast XMR runs only on one GPU? Please help.
Thank you.

Just add in script :  -G 0,1,2,3,4  (n+1 - for your number of gpu cards)

in your case:   -G 0,1

cast_xmr-vega --fastjobswitch -S pool.etn.spacepools.org:7777 -u your wallet -G 0,1

fastjobswitch for dont have a lot of outdated shares Smiley

Hi folks,

I have an amd rx580 nitro and im using xmr-aeon-stack. Is stable and working good.

Today i checked my amd file and changed the intensity from 898 to 1000 (like in example) and  i got more 100 H/s

It put 898 automatically right? Smiley

Im wondering if i can tweak something more in this:

"gpu_threads_conf" : [
 //  gpu: Samsung memory:8192
 //  compute units: 36
  { "index" : 0,
    "intensity" : 1000, "worksize" :8,
    "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : true
  },

If i include the gpu memory and compute units i got json errors..

Regards and good year

anyhelp ? Smiley
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Speculative Coins to mine with GPU Rigs for 2018 on: January 02, 2018, 02:13:30 PM
I'm currently mining XSH with my 8 GPU 1070 rig and doing around 60~80 usd a day. I believe this coin still have potential to rise to 50 cent each this year. I'm using bigmine pool with ccminer 2.2 @ SMOS.

This would be great to achieve, but I just tried mining XSH with nine 1070s on bigmine with ccminer, blake2s algo and received less than 100 XSH for 12 hours of work.

To get 60-80 USD XSH per day, I'd need results that are more than double that ---- what is your secret?  How are you pulling in so much with just eight 1070s?

My total has rate was on the order of 33 GH/s on bigmine XSH, blake2s

WTF? im using 2 rx 580 (1800 h/s both) and im getting almost 90 -100 per day in https://etn.spacepools.org/ ,

What is your hasrate?

I note a diference between pool payments, Anyone note it too?

If you estimate your earnings for example in http://electroneum.vip/#  got 92.61 ETN/day
in https://easyhash.io/pools/etn   got     46.30  ETN/day
in https://etn.spacepools.org/ doesn t have paltform calc but i got the 90 per day..

Why such a big difference?  The pool fee?

Regards,

zeef

My hash rate was on the order of 6-7 kH/s on the Nanopool ETN pool.

But r u shure this is the best pool? give me the link to try it.

With your hash you should mine 400 per day..

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Speculative Coins to mine with GPU Rigs for 2018 on: January 02, 2018, 02:11:06 AM
Currently am mining about 250 Electroneum per day using nine GTX 1070s. I'm mining ETN as a speculative coin, anticipating it to go well above its present value of 8 cents per coin.

Are there better speculative coins to mine? I'm talking about coins that are in extremely early stages and at extremely low values that may not yield much mining profits today, but if accumulated could yield massive profits down the road.

For example, I would have loved to have mined plenty of XVG, XRP etc. last Spring, or some ETH in 2016.

So for 2018, what are the best low-value but high potential coins that you can pull in at high quantities per month?

Right now, I am saying:

ETN
COOCH (windows miner currently broken)

It would be great to add more to this list. Perhaps there are even better speculative coins than ETN to mine right now?
