There is a concerning trend over the last year to pay bounties in project tokens instead of BTC/ETH. This leads to market dumps almost always after the ICO due to bounty sell-offs.
In reality, it makes no difference for the team to pay in ETH instead of the token, and here is why: The amount raised in the ICO is usually in ETH. By sending 2% (or whatever the bounty was) from this project fund to bounty hunters, it makes little difference to the team, they still have 98% of their fund left. Furthermore, no market dumping can occur, and we no longer have to listen to the whining on telegram when the price drops below ICO like it always does.
Here is a fact: Nearly all tokens are dropping below ICO value when they hit exchanges during this bear market. The only people that are stupid enough to invest in ICOs at this time are new investors. Established investors will always wait for the token to hit exchanges and buy-up at a lower value during bear markets. This is because established investors realize a lot of free tokens get dumped after the ICO.
If ICO teams continue to payout bounties in their tokens, eventually all investors will cotton-on and no longer contribute to ICOs anymore. With everyone waiting for post-ICO exchange dumps, teams will no longer be able to raise any capital. As of now, retail investors aren't smart enough to realize this, but give them time, and they will, and this will effect the entire alt-coin sphere.
Simply payout bounties in ETH from the funds raised instead of the token. It literally makes no difference for the team, and it offsets the risk for everyone. This terrible trend of token payouts needs to end.
actually you made a good point. This is the same thing in case the coin is successful and have value after listing on exchanges. Because if not, it's not the same for them to send useless tokens instead of eth /btc

cash is turning obsolete anyway. Sweden is already almost there to be cashless society without crypticurrency impact. Whether fiat will be subbed by crypto, we shall see, but cash will disappear

What is your opinion on cryptocurrency exchange? Which is the best exchange for year 2018.
I prefer binance. Great liquidity and trading tools, low fees. They proved themselves during recent downtime when everyone was telling they were scam and they came back from it

Hi guys. Out of curiosity, what are you earning with bounty campaigns? I think I'm somewhere near 1K USD/month, but I guess there have to be people here who are earning lots more. Kind regards EDIT: As many people do not believe these profits, I will explain how I make them. I focus on the translation campaigns (dutch). A translation pays +- 3 ETH on average. I have only started (only 1 translation has been paid, I received +-2 ETH), but as I can make up to 3 translations/month (currently working on 2 more), this would get me 9 ETH/month. As not every project is succesful, let's say I will receive 4,5 ETH/month. Do not focus on signature campaigns or social media campaigns, these are the crumbs (especially for members with lower ranks) while translation campaigns are probably the bread. I use the Bountyhive platform to manage my bounty participations, this platform makes it possible to be enrolled in 10 campaigns at the same time, without having to report. interesting perspective to focus on translation, you're right that pays off well. I can't agree with you that signature doesn't pay this good as the pools for signature are often 30% and more so you can make decent money too

What if you woke up tomorrow to realize USA and China decided to make bitcoin legal, what would have been your emotions, and what price would bitcoin attain within the next 1 week?
EDITED Apologies, i was rather referring to ICOs but not bitcoin. Apologies once more.
Hard to tell about China, but US are already working towards ICO regulation and I'm pretty confident we will have framework for that very very soon. It won't be easy to comply but will be really good for the industry

I received an email from Yobit about this Bitcoin Liza. My first thought was, is this another bitcoin fork? since the name was Bitcoin Liza and again derived from Bitcoin. So anybody knows about it? Is this really another fork? Well, whatever it is, for sure it's another bitcoin wannabe. Forks now are big jokes, they just make fun of it and destroy the true essence of fork for bitcoin. By the way, I just noticed that naming these bitcoin wannabees right now are getting worse. forking bitcoin has become marketing tool. Now the question is how this tool is being used. It can be exploited to bring good project to life and have good value straight after the start but also you can see some useless projects forking bitcoin ...

In his own reddit AskMeEverything page, https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/80ow6w/im_bill_gates_cochair_of_the_bill_melinda_gates/He answers about cryptocurrency stating “The main feature of crypto currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Government’s ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing. Right now crypto currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs and crypto currencies is super risky for those who go long.” He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities. well it's just his opinion and he is basically right that crypto can be used for illegal anonymous purchases and payments, which is not always great, especially when it comes to terrorist funding etc

bitcoin is mostly unregulated therefore in grey area but it depends on each country. Japan recognize crypto like money so it's fully legal there, US are preparing regulations on per state basis

Hi.
i didn't traded so much of my crypto for FIAT so i didn't dealt with that question yet.
however i think it's an issue need to be dealt with.
1. do you use accounting services? 2.if so, do you keep documentation of all traded or bought coins? 3. what do you do in cases of profit from ICO's
WHAT SHOULD I DO??
yes it's much better to pay profit now rather then getting the notice from authority later when the funds are already used elsewhere. I believe regulation in crypto is a good thing

Why even bother to mine with a few minres and earn a couple of dollars a day. Mining is only worth it if you can build a big farm with a lot of capital. Most of you guys are better off working a regular job and just buying crypto.
I think most people just do it for fun, or possible for some people even very tiny profit of few usd can be good enough given the average salaries in the places they live. We shouldn't judge

This project includes a number of best things: great team, great product, great idea, great start! We need products and ideas! I'm sure the company will occupy a leading place in this world! Offer to take part in ICO! #Utemis
may I ask you to provide some backing for your words? If you're saying everything about this ICO is the best, I'm all ears to hear the reasons why you consider it so.

Predicting any market on Binance is hard considering the fact that Binance supports USDT. However, SNGLS has went from the best performing ETH asset (40%+ change) in ETH Market to the worst performing asset (30%- change) in a matter of 24 hours.
Best time to buy or best tim to dump? You be the judge.
What I am interested in finding out is whether this is related to any real-world incident with the team, or just a case of Pump & Dump groups like palm beach. Let me know if you are watching this Mr Tiwari.
seems to me like pump and dump stuff. I haven't noticed anything out of ordinary coming from the team that could shake prices this much. This happens with low trading volume crypto projects every time

I'm sure there are many threads on ICO's, but would like to focus on best ICO's coming in January through March Window. Please add ICO's you think possibility it can easily goes up 10X minimum in 2018.
I would start DADI.
PreICO Price 1 DADI = 0.4 USD
My favourite ICOs which are active right now are VALID and TEND. Awesome teams and advisors behind these ones. I have seen quite few similar projects to Valid recently, focusing on customized marketing on blockchain. I see Valid are going good with their ICO, already exceeded 10m usd.

What price do you guys see elixir at around quarter 4 of 2018?
first time I'm hearing about this project. Their market cap and trading volumes are really small, I guess they're just starting the project. Could you explain why this project should be good to invest in?

I received a lot of tokens from Airdrops, but they haven't any value yet. When will be this tokens got value? in USD I mean?
which tokens? you need to be specific as the it really depends. majority of them never will, but you might get lucky and earn some very decent ROI on airdrops. Just do the research before joining

ripple confuses me a lot. Many people seem to hate this project because of its centralization and dubious background. But the idea looks appealing to me and also they have been around for a long enough to know it's a legit project

I have a question.
What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?
I would like to hear some advice. What are pros & cons of each option?
Thanks
definitely wallet as you have full control over your money that way. if you hold coins on exchange, they can prevent you from withdrawing your funds basically for any reasons.

I don't fancy reading white papers either as it takes too long but it's necessary to understand the project as see how competent is the team and what chance has the product to moon

there can be more reasons. Somebody needs the money fast for example. Some people celebrate little profit by selling asap. All is understandable. In some countries even 10$ profit can be good enough...
