283  Other / Meta / Re: Is this site affected 1 of the 6 or so new openssl vulnerabilities ? on: June 06, 2014, 05:24:29 PM
Those only affect systems that are affected by heartbleed. So if openssl has been upgraded from the
affected version there is no issues.

Oh, good to know. Then there's a bit of FUD in many articles about this news.

Yes, yesterday:

285  Other / Meta / Re: Bring back newbie jail? on: May 27, 2014, 11:38:04 AM
When did they even remove that?

It was removed about 4 months ago, when Theymos posted this:
End of newbie restrictions; ban changes

About the OP's question, I still would vote for bringing it back.
286  Other / Off-topic / Re: Next block halving on: May 22, 2014, 04:16:50 AM
I never seen a block that doest that.. I thought every block is 25 bitcoin reward..

Yes, it's 25 bitcoin now but not forever. It was 50 till the end of 2012.
The reward halving happens every 210,000 blocks (about 4 years if difficulty is stable).

290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a BTC charting site that has sound alerts for Time & Sales? on: May 21, 2014, 03:21:24 AM
Not sure if it has all the features you are looking for, but you could try this one:

http://bitcoinity.org/markets/bitstamp/USD

On the top-right, in Preferences, you can set some Sound options (price alerts, trading sounds, volume threshold etc.)
291  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Vanitygen GPU mining on: May 21, 2014, 02:06:09 AM

No, it's a software used to generate a vanity address.

293  Other / Meta / Re: How to remove negative trust rating? on: May 20, 2014, 10:31:12 PM
so tell me how to remove negative trust rating?

You could start by following this hint:

usamakhalid961 needs to stop copy/pasting articles into the main discussion forum for primedice adviews.

There's a press section.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oxford English Dictionary Example Sentence on: May 20, 2014, 08:40:49 PM
Is this the cause of today's rally?  Grin
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Spring Rally! on: May 20, 2014, 08:26:50 PM
IMO, "real rally"(?) will be answered after we get above $540 to $600. There is little doubt we are going at least to $525/530.
This is much more fun than all those slow days.  Smiley

The last high was at 548 (from end of March until now).
IMO if we break it we could consider this a strong bull signal. Do you all agree?

Anyway, we've about 30 days left and then this thread should be renamed in Summer Rally... Smiley
296  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jack Brabham Gone! on: May 19, 2014, 03:57:59 PM
He remains the only man in history to have designed, built and driven a championship-winning car.

Very impressive.

It's almost sure that he will remain the only one in the future as well.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss twins: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook #bitcoin #facebook on: May 19, 2014, 03:29:53 PM
If interested, this news is being discussed here too:
Economics > Speculation > Winklevoss twins: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook
(I think that Economics or Economics>Speculation should be a more appropriate section).
298  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Butterfly Labs BTC Profitability? Loss? on: May 19, 2014, 01:54:39 PM
These kind of topics are best suited in Mining > Mining speculation.
299  Other / Meta / Re: Top posters [May 16 UPDATE] on: May 19, 2014, 11:32:15 AM
These are all times numbers, of course.
20K posts in a month would mean a post every 2 minutes for 30 days in a row.

Not even PG could do that. Smiley
300  Other / Meta / Re: You must be at least a Jr. Member to vote in polls on: May 16, 2014, 09:40:30 AM
Polls are still pretty worthless, this just makes them slightly less worthless.
Ok, it seems like that my speculation didn't last too much. Smiley

I totally agree that voting or making a poll feature should be eligible only from Jr. Status, but I think everyone should be able to see results?
I presume that viewing the results is still allowed to everyone, no mention about that in the OP.
