Buying BTC is a short term investment now that the hype is over and the ecosystem has to face the fact that it is a rubbish currency, I wouldn't advise you to hold it for too long as I think BTC will collapse.

I believe that modern ICO regulations are definitely not tough enough, there should be at least a working module of a product before you can start asking for any investments. I think after 5 years Ethereum will be more profitable to invest in, Bitcoin has already had its year and is now facing a market correction. Soon people will realize that Bitcoin is actually quite useless as a currency but Ethereum actually has real-life usage with Dapps and other things, Ethereum hasn't gone mainstream yet and when it does its price will skyrocket like Bitcoin did this year.

Day trading can certainly give better returns than long-term investments but it depends on the amount you trade with(accounting for profits after fees), it also depends on the skill of the trader because a good trader can make good profits whereas an inexperienced one cannot. If you are relatively new I suggest you try investing for the long term but you can do day trading with a little bit of money to learn about it.

What do you think would be a good strategy to invest in altcoins?
What total amount would you invest? How many altcoins would you pick? and what amount per altcoin would you invest? Or go for different amounts for each coin?
I'll give an example to make my question(s) a bit more clear. Let's say I want to invest $250 in altcoins. Would it then be a good idea to pick 10 coins and invest $25 in each? Or is it better to pick 5 coins and invest $50 in each?
I think that you should try to find a good coin or token on coinmarketcap that has strong fundamentals or real life usage, do a lot of research on it and invest a percentage of your available fundings in it-around 40% I'd say. If it is gold it will glitter and when it does you will profit off of the hopefully exponential growth. |

Investing in bitcoin is really a great investment for new investors to know the crypto market. Because bitcoin is very stable and profitable. Bitcoin is not stable at all it fluctuates all the time and so is a high risk investment with high potential yield. |

No one can really tell what will happen in the future but I do believe you can profit off it, I advise you to invest in it but only invest what you wouldn't mind losing.
