281  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you think about electric cars? on: August 15, 2018, 03:01:28 PM
Electric cars are the future.  They require less maintenance and are better for the environment.  Performance wise they are faster than gas cars, see Tesla.

I live in the US and would still keep the US as my main home.  But would love to stay in other countries for a few months every year.  That would be my dream retirememt life.

287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin. Should I mine or buy coin with my $6000 on: August 03, 2018, 06:35:32 AM
In this current market, buying btc is a no brainer.  Btc prices are relatively low compared to end of last year, and mining is definitely not profitable at the moment.  I dabbled in mining a few months ago at the peak of gpu craze and I’m regretting every moment.  Returns suck.
288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn a merit on: August 03, 2018, 01:49:36 AM
You have forgotten one of the most important ways to get merit: always begin or end your sentence with "sir!" When you talk to higher ranked members, eg. "Very nice project, i am sure it will be successful, sir!"

Great suggestion!  This is a good post, sir!
289  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best life lesson you learned on: August 03, 2018, 01:41:07 AM
Save money and invest in low costs index funds.  Don’t try to time the market.  If you are young, you have lots of years to let your money work for you.  Let your compound earnings and interests grow and you will have a nice nest sum at he end.  Cheers!
290  Economy / Speculation / Apple 1 trillion market cap, when will bitcoin... on: August 02, 2018, 06:37:58 PM
Apple just surpassed 1 trillion usd in market cap today, when will bitcoin hit 1 trillion??? With btc sitting at $7500 and a current market cap of $130 billon, btc has to hit $60k usd to get to 1 trillion.  What’s everyone’s prediction when btc will hit $60k?  My wild prediction is 2024!
291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are Bitcoins worth on: July 31, 2018, 06:42:25 AM
Well Bitcoin is worth about $8k usd right now.  There are only be 21 millions btc total and probably 5-6 millions of those will be lost forever one way or another.  There will not even be enough Bitcoin for every millionaire in this world.  So it might be a good idea to get some now while you can.  You are already ahead of most people even if you only have one btc.

Yes I truly believe so.  It’s hard to imagine we are the only living species out there.
293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy bitcoins? on: July 30, 2018, 02:02:44 AM

Ignore them is the best way.  Arguing with these people is useless.
295  Other / Off-topic / Re: Life on Mars? on: July 29, 2018, 03:54:29 AM
Hopefully we will find life on mars or other planets.  It will be interesting to experience other life forms.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why people invested in ICO that no guaranteed the coin will be listed? on: July 28, 2018, 08:32:31 AM
It’s all about high risk, and to a big extent... greed.  People feel if they get in early, they can make a lot money.  Careful, most icos don’t do anything or just outright scams.
297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I buy safely BTC and ETh on: July 27, 2018, 08:09:09 PM
You can also use Coinbase Pro (formerly gdax) to get your btc or eth.  It has much lower fees than Coinbase.  They are the same company.
298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for a crypto noob? on: July 26, 2018, 04:20:53 AM
Read, learn, and always do your own research to verify what you have read and learn.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: July 26, 2018, 01:04:58 AM
Profits look to be extremely low right now.  Not profitable at all with the current cards.  Sucks.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ❗❗ Friendly Reminder: SECURE. YOUR. ASSETS. on: July 26, 2018, 01:01:32 AM
Good timely reminder.  I do store most my coins offline.  But I also have some in Coinbase as well for fast trading.  Coinbase also gives me a bit warm and fuzzy feeling cuz they have never been hacked, plus they are fdic insured so hopefully you should be good up to $250k.
