Just wanted to say that I have just lost all my Reddcoin trying to update my wallet to the new v1.3. The instructions that were on the net did not correlate with my computer, so I contacted support who could give me about 2 sentences worth of NON support. Not sure why they are in support if they can't support folk having trouble. I am not computer savvy but am still very interested in cryptocurrency. Other teams have been far more supportive. I am really pissed off at the LACK of support. And this makes me laugh!
Reddcoin will be dedicated to one thing: tipping on social networks as a way to bring cryptocurrency to the general public.
Is this a joke!?
If they want people to be interested they have to be interested in helping them when they are learning.......
I agree that updating the wallet is tricky business from the standpoint of the average user who is just getting into the crypto world. A potentially dangerous mindfield to navigate when someone's assets are at stake. We've all heard horror stories about people losing access to their bitcoin wallets. We still have a long way to go in order to set up a system that is able to cater to more than advanced technical ability users. I tried to update my wallet yesterday and also ran into the error message stating that I had to reset the blockchain. I then had to read a few different versions of accounts of troubleshooting the wallet update. The key take home message was to backup your wallet.dat file. I did this at least a couple times to make sure. Then delete the contents of the Reddcoin folder under Appdata-Roaming. Then start the v1.3. Then delete the newly generated wallet.dat and replace with your backup version to restore your wallet with your original coins in it. The process is tricky enough for someone who isn't used to it, and can be nerve racking considering that the contents of your wallet are at stake.

I am trying out betarigs for the first time today. I rented a 28 MH/s mining rig (for 12 hours) to mine Quebecoin at the cryptobec pool. It is obviously a big leap from the CPU mining of QBC that I have done so far. I just found my first block.
I just picked up 1072 QBC, doubling my holdings to just over 2000. I used my daily 0.01 BTC mining earnings for the exchange on bittrex.

Create an ETF that bets against the profitability of bitcoin mining for home miners. I would definitely be interested in investing in that fund.

I was running this on an old laptop. The newer computer that I had trouble with has the following CPU information when I get the output from that command:
AMD64 Intel64 Family 6 Model 60 Stepping 3, GenuineIntel 6 3c03
I did manage to get it working on a different computer:
What is the output of minerd --help ??
It doesn't recognize that command either.
Note that it's important to not leave extra spaces, carriage return or anything but the parameter in your command line. I don't know what the -t 6 and -s 4 does? I did not need it when I CPU mined.
I also have no idea what it is for either, I simply copied it from some instructional example in one of the "how to mine" pages. Here is the pathway so far: C:\2GOOD\darkcoin\darkcoin-minerd-1.2c\minerd.exe -a x11 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password
I tried this from command prompt, the drag and drop. It does get me to the right pathway, but when I paste that line and hit enter, the command is not recognized. Also, which version am I am supposed to choose, since there are about 4 different ones in that folder?
I am not sure what to do next. Do I make a batch file like RunMe.txt with that line in it. When I do so, nothing happens when I double click on it.
My information is going to read something like:
minerd -a -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password
I downloaded the CPU miner from your link. It appears as though I have an i7, since I have an Asus M11AD desktop.

Don't forget that Canadians are not supposed to be buying new contracts until PB Mining figures out the legal issues involved with doing business with Canadian residents.

Unfortunately I have never been able to figure out how to do either CPU or GPU mining. I just tried minerd and followed the instructions on the pool page and nothing seems to be happening.

I ordered a Fury 1.3MH/s scrypt miner that I will point at the cryptobec pool as soon as it arrives in a couple days.

You could also try turning off the PSU, unplugging it from the wall, unplug the PCI-E connectors from the Antminer. Then plug everything back in. Just to verify that it still does the same thing. You could certainly try resetting it to factory default. I did when I first got mine. Although maybe you could wait until an expert chimes in with some words of wisdom.

Need help in configuring Antminer S1 to achieve its normal hash rate i couldn't figure out what difficulty level i have to set for each worker especially Antminer (worker1)? below is the pic for antminer status page as well. Do i have to change any setting for Antminer so at least it reach to 150 Ghs.
Assuming it is already on the standard factory settings, it should automatically be hashing at close to 180 GH. Just observing that it appears as though only half of your S1 is working. The second board is maybe not getting power? Do you have two PCI-E power connectors in place?

Someone mentioned that trying to get the onboard Wifi configured is more difficult than using a wired connection. The key that helped get it working for me was to connect it to a netgear wireless adapter, which works the same as a wired connection. It also gave me the flexibility to put the Antminer outside on the porch, so it is no longer annoying me with the noise and the heat.

Hello Guillaume,
I tried to sign up for your Quebecoin message forum, but never received any activation code, so I am locked out of that discussion.
