282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 19, 2014, 02:39:38 AM
So basically a bunch of unemployed wolves of wall street decided to cross the river and set up an exchange in New Jersey because NY is scary, and nobody showed up to the party, so they took their tons of fiat leftover from their setup and paid some hackers....

Exchanges are the problem.  P2P is best.  I say any exchange pimping on the thread of a victimed exchange isn't just suspect - it should be outright boycotted!  This is BS, and how many f'in posts do you have to make pimping this one suspect site?!!

+1

It's sad that about 1/3 of the posts after the announcement of the hacking, that it is to "use our exchange, it is bulletproof" .. screw that!

BTW, if you look at the scan date for the so-called security for Atomic, it is from February.

Thnx 4 the heads-up!

The best of luck to all you CoinEX admins, hope to be able to access my altcoins again soon! BTW wouldn't it be a good idea to have the wallet spread across many servers thus reducing the possible losses if one gets hacked?
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 19, 2014, 02:00:35 AM
I had only about 100€ max of bit and litecoins there but at least 2BTC in altcoins. Did you just get your BTC and LTC wallets hacked or all of them?

285  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE]BTMine v1 Miner 200GH/s BTC 2.4 on: March 18, 2014, 03:02:59 AM
Hey my openwrt board died and after some messing around i now have it hooked up to my pc through usb and it's running fine except for one 20gh unit that is not hashing at all. What is the best way to get a replacement ethernet/wifi board from btmine? And how do I find out what is wrong with the module.

So have people actually melted their units or the stock psu's just by running on 1500 instead of 1400?
286  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Burnin BitBurner XX x3 *UK only* Price reduced ! on: March 17, 2014, 03:20:54 AM
I can agree to that price but I am located in the Netherlands willing to do escrow and pay shipping should not be more than 15-20 pounds

289  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Used or Old Bitcoin Miners, Fair Prices on: March 17, 2014, 03:10:09 AM
I have several (7) klondike k16's that can be overclocked up to 6gh, they have special additional plugs to bring more power to the fans as well. Drop me a line if you're interested, I'm in the EU.

Just what I was looking for,

294  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3x 200ghs antminer from europe(mayby 4x200ghs ) on: March 14, 2014, 09:26:10 PM
I'm in the Netherlands, Leiden. In what country are you? Might be interested but can't go far above 1BTC, since even taxed I would pay at most 1.22BTC new from bitmain.

Why have you connected both the pci-e and 12v psu connectors??
295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX16A2 - 24 Ghs - 189 EUR 48 h shippment on: March 14, 2014, 09:20:52 PM
You can now put an order for this
and put your tracking No in the field.
The Idea is our shipping team to have all RMA units together with the new orders in one shipping list

I have already sent you  the first one of my two broken hex16a2's before you had the system (you should have received it a week ago by now) and now I made A RMA for the second one without entering the tracking number. Should I just post both tracking numbers here?
296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: - One String - a novel bitfury miner design - on: March 14, 2014, 09:14:39 PM

299  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]R17x: Black Arrow Prospero X-3 <DZMC Exclusive> $130 / 40GHS on: March 13, 2014, 04:43:05 AM
Apart from the obvious and severe lack of communication (As someone said, would it have killed someone to send out an email to the GB user list? We all know you've got it) because having to check back here to find out the reason I haven't seen a share payout was because the entire thing's been delayed by months.

I (and I assume anyone else actually aware of the issues and staying in the GB) would like to know:

Other than the 25% boost to hash rate we'll be granted by remaining in the group buy (assuming you're still passing that on) will anyone staying in the group buy be entitled to the additional 10% discount on all BlackArrow based hardware group buys run by DZMC in the future (until the offered period expires, so 2015)?

Another issue with the 25% boost to hash rate - BA doesn't seem to realise that it's not really a fix, it's obviously just covering their arses because if it was 25% additional hardware it might actually be worth it because then the GB will still have the resale option at the end of the life of the miner (for BTC mining anyway).

25% additional mining with their 'hosting' doesn't really cover a thing, as... oh wait that's right, a month after they were due that 25% will be worthless, (based on the fact that difficulty rises have slowed) and by the time they're received we'll probably be down to 50% or less BTC output.

A second thought with the 10% discounted hardware - will that include the existing order eg. covered under the price protection that was apparently offered? (Unless I've mistakenly mixed up two threads I was reading regarding hardware)

As an aside: As previously stated Matt (Bobsag) being a reseller and running all the purchases through himself to BA causes a major conflict of interest without complete transparency (I understand it's the only way it could be done, but the TRANSPARENCY is the key word), previous requests for costs/sales have gone unanswered so for all we know there's money being taken off the top as well during this entire thing.
(And before ANYONE says 'oh but it was at-cost' I've seen plenty of people state 'at cost' but that's at the cost TO THEM, which they can fudge the numbers on any way they see fit, whether it be labour, time, expertise etc, not just the sale price of the hardware + shipping)
We're also unaware as to how the BTC was moved, as it may have been cashed out at some point at a higher USD value, then cashed back in now in order to refund people (Which could either cause a massive bonus or a massive loss depending on value changes) so for all we know there's additional funds being skimmed off the top again without the end user really being aware.

The way you run a proper co-op is to have the group run it, to have transparency, to allow people access to information. While I understand we didn't vote for you to be our leaders, you're there and doing it because you can, you want to etc, we all (generally) benefit from that while I repeatedly see the people running it stating they end up at a loss at some points (That is NO way to operate, because if your operators start making losses it adds a certain underlying level of contempt to their userbase for 'costing' them something)

The fact that your website's been drastically altered and no updates have been provided also shows a severe lack of professionalism on the entire part of the co-op operators.

------

On a different note: While people investigating each other to keep them honest is all nice and useful to the end user... who gives a flying fuck if the guy smokes or grows or deals in pot? Provided it doesn't interfere with what he/she/it does here it shouldn't damn well matter.

If you've got that much of an issue with people being 'seedy' and 'underworld' and operating in BTC... get a grip on reality, it happens everywhere. Your next door neighbour could be a drug kingpin for all you know, but it you don't have any idea on that because they don't let it affect how they interact with you.

I was planning on asking exactly these questions so thanks for saving me the time of articulating these thoughts and typing them up. I agree 90% because I think they are trying their best but I would like to know what  happens with people like us who are still waiting it out!
