The raging diplomatic row between Ankara and Washington has put immense pressure on the Turkish lira and as a result, gold futures trading has nearly doubled in the country as investors scramble for traditional safe havens.

Gold futures volumes have soared on Turkey's stock exchange as the recent plunge in the volatile national currency attracts speculation and boosts the local price of the precious metal. The 90-day average daily volume reportedly doubled to 40,000 contracts, from about 17,000 in March. At the same time, the price for an ounce of gold in Turkish lira surged by more than 50 percent.

Gold and silver is the oldest and strongest investment ever, it is proven and tested in the many years, until now. The price is very high in our market, it is the safetiest investment ever.

Russia's gold reserves have reached 2000 tonnes and China has some $4 Trillion for Gold.

But if you represent their sales  team, then you should push them to accept Bitcoin, think of all the people here that don't want to convert to USD and then do a transaction. The process would be far cheaper for everyone involved if the company just accepted BTC.

travelling giant expedia.com removed Bitcoin for payments. Bitcoin high price rise and fall scares stores/shops.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN is useless!? on: August 15, 2018, 02:02:02 AM
2nd richest man Warren Buffet said "Bitcoin is rat poison"

expedia.com removed bitcoin as payment option. So Bitcoin has failed as a mode of payment.

Well just ask a citizen of Cyprus what they think about it, I am sure they would have very valuable insights into the OP question after their state stole some 80% of what thay kept in banks.

Why is Gold more safer ? Is it because you will buy or sell gold in all the countries for $1200/ounce [current market price]

There are sellers for 4,000,000 Bitcoins. I have some big buyers at $5000
292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for bitcoin Price Drop? on: August 13, 2018, 09:13:13 PM
The main reason for bitcoin price drop is that no one buys bitcoin for 7k. This price is too high compare to last 2 years, so only few are capable to buy it now. Most of the people now are holding their bitcoin and some sells it for a high price, with others can't afford the price.

There are more sellers at $6000 and less buyers

150 of Fortune 500 companies have closed down since 2006. Stock markets are also investments.

Facebook share prices fell -25% in one day. Looks like facebook is going down forever.

Indian Billionaire Subroto Roy "Amby valley" is worth $6 billion as per market price but buyers are not paying more than $2 billion for Amby Valley. Real estates are also investments.

Silver price fell to $9/ounce under Obama's presidency.

Investments give profit or loss

You got the right list of dangerous jobs. Add military
295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 50 people, mostly children killed in missile strike by Saudi coalition on: August 13, 2018, 02:33:37 PM
The bus attack with childrens can not be legitimate in any way. Yemen will not be safe country in next years, if someone can attack the bus with missiles.

That is war crime. How can Saudi Arabia get away with 'sorry and regrets" ??
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for bitcoin Price Drop? on: August 13, 2018, 08:17:51 AM
Some 4,000,000 Bitcoins were purchased before 2011 when the price was $100 or $200. Also who will buy Bitcoin at $6000 ??

There is a big tamarind tree [50 feet tall] where I live. Few years back, I saw there were lots of tamarinds on the top of the tree. So I threw a half brick and the brick got stuck on the top of tree at a height of 40 to 50 feet.
