The first person to roll 30 or more losing bets in a row at 50.0000% on Just-Dice gets a 1 BTC or 80 CLAM prize, no strings attached.

1 in around 1,451,590,215 rolls? Shocked

Dang!

That's how often losing streaks of length 30 or more come up if you play at 50.5%.

ashfaq is talking about playing at 50%, and so that's the chance you have to play at to qualify for the prize I'm offering.

It's 1 in 1,073,741,824, since losing at 50% is a bit easier than losing at 50.5%.

Showing my working:

>>> 1 / (1 - 50.5/100) ** 30
1451590214.9428499

>>> 1 / (1 - 50.0/100) ** 30
1073741824.0

Note: this is why I wrote this a while back:

it should only happen about once per BILLION rolls.

Another way to look at it: Since 0 satoshi bets are delayed by 0.3 seconds on JD, the average time needed with non-stop betting would be 2^30*0.3s = 3728 days. Tongue
283  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it true that bitcoin signatures are now/will be required to be deterministic? on: August 12, 2015, 11:57:31 AM
Pardon my ignorance. Being around for so long I should be knowing this Tongue

I read somewhere that signatures are now (or soon will be) required to be deterministic. Is this true?
If true, will transactions signed by earlier versions of bitcoind/j be accepted?

IIRC, bitcoin core has started using the libsecp256k1 library since version 0.10.0 and the signature is deterministic since then.
284  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Dice Guide real life investment comparison: Dicenow now best investment! on: August 12, 2015, 11:33:47 AM
Great list, looks like its time to invest.

What I see is 3 out of 9 sites ended as a scam, and OP has an overall -21.27% loss in the past 10 months. Are you looking at the same figure as I am lol?
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: August 12, 2015, 11:29:19 AM
i dont care what dooglus says earlier and what he says now because he owns a dice site and his opinion is not considered or as equal as a gambler atleast and plus my point was the way the algorithm of these dice sites is designed is like there is a 50/50 chance to win at 50/50 i.e a 2x multiplier for 1 single roll and there is 30% chance of winning at the same 2x multiplier for 100000 rolls and as u keep on rolling the chances keep on decrease that is why in the long run the casinos win .and as far as licensed casinos are considered they r strictly prohibited and r not allowed to use such type of algorithms which variates the winning chances.

No matter if it is your first bet or your 100000th bet, you are still going to win a 50% bet when your rolled number is <50 if you bet low or >49.9999 if you bet high.
If you are using a provably fair site, then you can verify whether the site has altered your numbers.

Did this pick win or did it loose.? Please let me know, thnx.

If you are talking about patt0's pick above, it won. The game ended with Benfica 0 - 1 Sporting CP in regulation time.
287  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Dice Guide real life investment comparison: Peerbet now best investment! on: August 12, 2015, 11:04:05 AM

How did you get the bank turnover for Peerbet as 1 day? Their total wagered seems to have only increased by 30 btc in the past 2 weeks according to the graph on http://dicesites.com/peerbet
288  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice websites comparsion on: August 12, 2015, 10:26:55 AM
You forgot to put SatoshiDice in your list. Also, for FortuneJack, the faucet can only be claimed every 60 seconds even when your balance is < 10 satoshi.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: August 12, 2015, 10:04:26 AM
I thought i read on this forum that some people has already rolled 30 rolls on just dice and even a little bit more, i guess dooglus is talking about getting 30 in a row a few times which is indeed weird but it could happen tho.

Yup dooglus once posted that there was a 32 loss streak on JD with 49.5% bets, but now Dooglus is offering 1 BTC for 30 loss streak for 50% bets.
290  Economy / Gambling / Re: Flappybit (Remake of luckybit) Announcement on: August 12, 2015, 10:00:54 AM
Yea, I must admit that's ridiculous but since this was a little project at the starting, I didn't prepared any big hot wallet for this. (I'm currently working on it, getting investors, etc)
I hope soon enough i'll be able to get rid of this notice Sad

But, yea I understand.

I am afraid it would be quite hard for you to get investors, as no offense, you are a new user here and your site is new as well. Switching to use Moneypot API should solve the trust problem and the site bankroll problem at the same time.

Reasons I like PD: It is the oldest offchain dice site AFAIK, and is one month older than JD. It has the top level of trust and a very active user base to make the chat interesting to participate in.
Reasons I dislike PD: Apart from trustworthiness, what matters the most to the players is the house edge, especially in a purely luck game. There are now multiple seemingly legit sites offering a more competitive house edge, such as Safedice and sites using Moneypot API.

7k of bitcoin? That is too much too loss, if I were him I will use that to open some business rather than random hit 98% winning percentage and loss  Grin. So unlucky him

To be fair, that guy actually started with *only* 1700 bitcoin and won many low-multiplier bets before losing all of them.
So he was very lucky to be able to turn 1700 to 7016.
from where did you get all this information? is there a statistics webpage about it? i would be keen on checking it also its hard to believe how someone can make such huge bets

Reddit discussion back then: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1npmaq/highroller_loses_800k_with_allin_bet_on_justdice/

Also, dooglus posted a list of 27 bet, showing how that guy turned 1767 btc to 7016 btc to 0 btc

Is there any minimum for cashout??
And do we need to wait for a long time?? and also what if we tip people, does it cost 100 bits?

Minimum cashout is 200 bits. The withdrawal is handled automatically and immediately as long as the hot wallet is not empty.
I don't think you can tip another user at the moment.

How to use (for windows, if you use linux you'r probably a techie anyway) :
-install python 2.7 : https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2710/
-create a new environment variable called PYTHON_HOME pointing to C:\Python27 (or wherever you installed it)
-add this to the PATH environment variable ;%PYTHON_HOME%;%PYTHON_HOME%\Scripts
-create a script.py and open it with notepad, paste the script inside
-shift plus right clic in the folder where the script is and select open a cmd windows here
-type : nameOfScript.py and press enter

Explanation :
1/ you installed python in order to run the script
2/ creating this environment variable allow you to just type the name of the script in the command line instead of "C:\Python27\python.exe nameOfTheScript.py"

the script begin and it should be user friendly enought

For those not so familiar with python or programming, they can also run the code on http://www.tutorialspoint.com/execute_python_online.php easily.

297  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can bitcoin casino go bankrupt? on: August 03, 2015, 03:32:41 PM
It can be possible when a whale is lucky and win lots of btc.
When he withdraws almost all the funds from the casino bankroll, the casino has no funds to pay the other players.
The bitcoin casino is considered " bankrupt " he it defaults.

If the gambling site set the max win or max payout using Kelly formula, the limit will get smaller and smaller as the whale wins. The house could lose a significant % of the bankroll but not all.
well it depends on how much bitcoins the casino will decide that they want to keep safe, in my opinion its not the best idea for them to do as people wouldnt be that interested in it

They can choose to set their max win to 2x, 5x or even 10x Kelly if they want to take more risk and have a higher max win, but still the same applies.
298  Economy / Gambling / Re: freebit.co.in multiplay system on: August 03, 2015, 03:26:26 PM
Well, I am done with that site!!!

I have tried all possible ways and strategies and always lose. The last attempt I have done I have put on my balance 1.6 btc. I have bet 1 satoshi with a multiplier of 3 and raisding my bets 2x on each loss on autobet for 20000 games and it busted after 24 streaks.

No matter what game style I use in this site in the long run I always lose so in the end I just gave them 3 btc.

In the end these sites are made to win and not let you win! In other words... Scams!

If you want to gamble your bitcoin, you should play on a dice site with 1% or lower house edge rather than freebitco.in with 5% house edge.
Also, dice is just about luck. There is no point in using strategy or game style.

I know nothing about Rapid Wien, but I think Ajax is the better team here and so will bet on Ajax -0.5
