The concept of zerocoin should be implemented in bitcoin. Zerocoin exists exactly to prove that its concept is sound. In the beginning, Zerocoin started out as a computer code that would add more anonymity to transactions through Bitcoin. However, it is now being built as a different digital currency due to some Bitcoin users who tried to convince Congress that Bitcoin transactions are traceable. A paper was released in April 2013 by Green and his grad students which explained what Zerocoin was and how it would work. They had hoped the paper would garner attention from developers who wanted to build it. However, after no one contacted them, they began writing the code for Zerocoin themselves and it is expected to be ready by summer. No wonder no one contacted them, the current "bitcoin foundation" is a joke, just look at the members, mt gox? LOL Bitcoin developers should go and implement that in bitcoin Mtgox isn't a member of bitcoin foundation any more tho..

Sorry, guys and gals, it is a requirement for all international travel. You have to declare the movement of $10K or more. We should be happy they are recognizing the bitcoin as a store of value. No, I'm not happy at any invasion of anybody's privacy. I don't need official recognition of value - I'm a grown up and can decide for myself what is valuable. The presumption that nobody should be able to move large amounts of value without government oversight is incredibly oppressive. That people don't see this is chilling. I had a run in with the TSA not too long ago while travelling internationally... these guys go by some very messed up rules.. they treat you lower than dirt and they really do hate it when you question them.. ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

The price of bitcoin dropped tremendously on the exchange’s network. At one point recently, the price dropped to an all-time low of about $100. Obviously, Jonathan Kinsley has never looked at a Mt.Gox chart that goes back prior to March of 2013. And this coming from a site that promotes itself as being Digital Currency News. I think the article was focusing on the more recent events and not the entire dirty history of Mtgox ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) ... and yea recently mtgox low was just under 100 before it did a dead cat bounce .. i find no faults with the article ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Yep and I lost coins because they mysteriously disappeared when I placed a trade. Unfortunately it didn't show up on the trade history either and the balance history is inadequate/missing so there was no way I could prove it. They do have support though, but it's still just a "beta" website IMO.
oh that sux how'd that resolve? did you ever get your coins back? how many?

another copy and paste warning: 180 countries left...
all the central banks are copy/pasting from each other.. despicable Warning against it actually gives it some form of legitimacy. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) you're right.. but it gives bitcoin/digitalcurrencies more merits cuz the banksters are hating on it.. they were successful getting the world off of Gold standard so they could rob the poor blind on a broad day light but not bitcoin (i hope) ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)
