281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshi nakamoto original whitepaper on BTC on: February 13, 2018, 02:55:58 PM
IIRC it was first mentioned on a small cryptography mailing list in late 2008.  Satoshi's posts about it are archived here and the paper was published at https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf.

He later wrote about it on the P2P Foundation page here.

His first post on this forum was in November 2009, approximately a year after the release of the original whitepaper.

thanks a lot for sharing such an informative info.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / satoshi nakamoto original whitepaper on BTC on: February 12, 2018, 05:21:22 PM
Where does satoshi nakamoto original whitepaper on BTC appeared for the very first time?

I heard he published it on bitcointalk.org, if that is true can somebody show that post?
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most cryptocurrencies to hit zero? on: February 12, 2018, 04:24:30 PM

there are also news that BTC and other CC will reach new record price this year (BTC 50,000). Everyone has his own perception about BTC and other CC...
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: My opinion on bitcoin, what's yours? on: February 12, 2018, 04:02:50 PM
Bitcoin reach almost 20k last year and gone down to 6k this beginning of 2018. People are panicking because of some countries are banning bitcoin and so called experts causing a fuzz that bitcoin will not survive this. But guess what, every year bitcoin falls hard and shoots like a moon. I think we are lucky for this year because bitcoin started small and I believe it will pump hard at the end of the year.

dont forget it started from 0.008 $ in 2009 and touched 20k in 2017. Its currently showing strong resistance at 8k and hopes are it will go more up in days to come. dont panic just HODL if you have BTC
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: February 12, 2018, 03:56:50 PM
Just imagine selling your $259,900 house for 43BTC and 2 Months in street.

and after just 2 months sell 43BTC for $498198.

Again buying the previous also you will be in profit of $472298.

would you try this technique.

On 18 dec 2018 price of BTC was 20k USD and in less then 2 months it jump back to 8k. I dont suggest sell your home for BTC rather invest your extra saving into CC.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any chance for USA to ban bitcoin? on: February 12, 2018, 03:49:15 PM
Every country are starting to ban. What if USA ban? how will it go?

Cryptocurrency brought transparency to financial systems, while banks and government officials do not want such transparency. that why almost majority of governments are not in favour of it. It will be interesting wt USA govt says about CC
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Limit of Bitcoin on: February 11, 2018, 05:34:14 PM
I think about Bitcoin, and this is just my meaning.
As you know Bitcoin is limit. Total of Bitcoin is 21 million, we have dug nearly 16.8 million Bitcoin. Neither founder can not create more Bitcoin. Is this  the reason for raising Bitcoin price high and it's also cause for Bitcoin price reduction when we have nearly reached 21 million.

your question has the answer. since we have a finite number of BTC, it will remain free from inflation. which means price will go only up
288  Economy / Economics / Re: If the world uses a single currency on: February 11, 2018, 05:25:25 PM
If the world uses a single currency, will the economy be more stable?
This is a very interesting question. The sovereign nations issue their own currencies and are taken for granted by many people, but few consider whether this is the economically optimal option.

the world can never agree on a single currency. who will be the owner of that currency Huh
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suicide due to losses due to investment in virtual currency on: February 11, 2018, 05:19:17 PM
Sad
A Korean student has committed suicide after falling into a depression because of a big loss of money invested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency. A 20-year-old Korean student has been found to have committed suicide after falling into depression due to huge losses in bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The body of the victim was found at his home. The victim has earned 200 million won (about 200,000$) from investments in cryptocurrency.
it's so sad. Rest in peace.

thats sad. Life is full of ups and downs, one should never lose heart on a failure. RIP dear
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: February 11, 2018, 05:12:02 PM
Worldwide, especially in my place, must sell it for profit rather than always keep it!
The government always forbids the use and play bitcoin so that it can not grow fully potential in my place. Surely it remains an advantage if there is a transaction rotation for bitcoin in my country to live.

There is no hard and fast rule to sell or HODL. usually traders buy at dip and sell on high. while investors hold for long period.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China continues to build a firewall to combat cryptocurrency on: February 11, 2018, 04:56:45 PM
China continues to build a firewall to combat cryptocurrency
On February 5, 2018, China's central bank took another step toward building a firewall to prevent domestic traders and investors from accessing international cryptocurrency trading sites.

It will open more space for JAPAN to be a CC leader. As china and south korea banning ICO's, Japan is accepting CC with open arms.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: February 11, 2018, 09:53:22 AM
Can bitcoin really do anything to solve world poverty problem? Brian Singer certainly think so. He thinks that Bitcoin can bring minimum everyday earning for people more swiftly than any other economy system.

Is it possible?

A good read. Thank you for sharing such a nice article.

Blockchain backed CC have the ability to bring people closer. for instance, 2 billion people are out of current banking system due to various reasons, CC has the ability to bring all of them into its ecosystem

297  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is "cryptocurrency" a good term? on: February 10, 2018, 04:06:23 PM
Recently I've started thinking that the word "cryptocurrency" does a pretty poor job at describing what it's all about. The "crypto" part does not describe the main properties - decentralization and openness, cryptography is simply a tool for achieving them, and doesn't necessarily bring those properties. "Currency" is a pretty narrow economic term, which refers to money in active circulation, but in our case we have digital units that can have many use cases and most notably they allow building applications on top of them. The "currency" part is also used by opponents to claim that they are in fact inherently worthless by pointing out their high volatility and lack of scalability - two factors that indeed make them almost unusable for daily transactions for average user at the moment.

Thoughts?

every innovation in the start was not accepted, same holds true for cryptocurrency as well. In start, no body took it seriously so whoever named it cryptocurrency, was accepted. but it serves the purpose and is valid as well.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: February 10, 2018, 03:57:32 PM
Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

It's good to see big merchants like KFC accepting BTC (if true). this is positive news for BTC community

299  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling or buying? It's your very own decision! on: February 10, 2018, 03:51:20 PM
I suggest you to know the market's tendency first!

I am buying BTC right now, as I firmly believe that it will go up later this year.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: February 10, 2018, 03:42:43 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.

BTC is too late to buy now, same was echoed when BTC crossed 100 USD. There is no prediction that what will be the final price of BTC, so nobody can say when it will be too late to buy BTC
