Keep voting on https://www.mintpal.com/voting - already at No23 and rising nicely! Hardly any bought votes, unlike the majority above Coin2 in the list..... And I think I saw earlier it's the top of the BTER vote too - keep those rolling in

I guess you were too late. I told a few friends and they all got the coins. I got my coins, I had a wallet, I requested them through facebook..... can't say fairer than that. Dam..... I'm being quoted word for word! (post #154) Will return to this next week to see where we've progressed to! Nice to see a merchant on board too (Facebook announcement!)

Looks like another instamine.
First, 99 blocks were mined around 6-7 hours prior to the launch. These are separate to the premine on block #1. I may be missing something, but I can't find anything in the ANN about mining an extra 99 blocks.
Then block 101 and onwards was mined from around 4 minutes before the official launch.
The earliest block I mined with Hash.so was block 229. Anyone mining earlier than 229?

Got 32 Hex's on MaxMiners.net - how many are others getting?
This is my first Keccak mining experience, so be good to know - that's with 7 x 280X's.

|

Could someone point me to a guide for Keccak mining using R9 290 cards (or a general page for that matter). Would like to get this figured out for the launch tomorrow Thanks in advance

LOL ninja launch at 5am europe time .....another scam.
Non announced coins are just scams midnight eastern and 5am europe....LOL couldn't have planned it better.
Non-announced coins (in my opinion) aren't scams. Yes there's the element of the DEV and his friends getting on the coin crazy early before everyone else - but that's if they DON'T announce it ANYWHERE as soon as it's launched. I mean, Flappycoin for example, I was lucky enough to be mining this from the low 100's blocks because I saw the ANN on here. If it was pre-announced, there'd have been a tonne of people on it, and I wouldn't have gained the coins I did (most likely) But, for Rubycoin, this was pre-ann (not the best coin granted), but at the same time, I was in there from block 50, and got over 1000 coins in the space of a few mins - the fact that the DEV screwed everyone by only giving out 50/block and not telling a soul about it peeved me off no-end - but still, I got a shed load of coins early on in the process and made good $$$$ in the process. Like everything, there's two sides - you get lucky if you catch a non-ann coin early. Likewise you can get lucky with pre-ann coins too. As for this coin, I gave up trying to solo mine.... I'm just 100% useless at solo!

Why's Mint going down?
It's because everyone saw what happened last week, with the price skyrocketing - and consequently they're expecting the same thing to happen again now that the rewards for mining have reduced....... no whale has stepped in to bring the price up, so consequently the weaker traders are starting to panic..... "ooh, it's not going up like I thought - bail now" kinda thing.
It's a great ploy by the big money men - make people believe the price will go up when the mining reward drops, and when THEY don't inject a load of BTC into it, they watch the weak bail out.... once it goes low enough they'll buy everything up once more, and the sellers will be kicking themselves - again!
My invested BTC really hopes you are right What else has changed, in the negative sense? Nothing. People are now earning POS, and the reward for mining is lower - both POSITIVE points for Mint. The only negatives (as far as I see) are people's expectations, and they're easily preyed on. Hell, this time last week 2000BTC+ was thrown at this - you really think they don't know what they're doing?

Also try your IP address instead of that 127.0.0.1 crap
Still nothing - tried all suggestions..... Still getting in CGMiner: Fatal JSON error in configuration file Configuration file could not be used Need to specify at least one pool server Input server details..... Am I missing something blatantly obvious?

it's always the same for all the coins just change your port to something that don't match the other coins
rpcuser= rpcpassword= rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport= server=1
match cgminer with that config -o 127.0.0.1:rpcport -u rpcuser -p rpcpassword
Cheers for that, but I'm still struggling..... Could someone tell me where I'm going wrong. coin.conf filerpcuser=user rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=22555 server=1 addnode=54.194.99.126 daemon=1 cgminer.conf file{ "pools" : [ { "url" : "127.0.0.1:22555", "user" : "user", "pass" : "password", }, ], "xintensity" : "144", "vectors" : "1", "kernel" : "scrypt", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "20481", "gpu-engine" : "1015", "gpu-fan" : "40-100", "gpu-memclock" : "1500", "gpu-powertune" : "25", "gpu-threads" : "1", "temp-cutoff" : "92", "temp-overheat" : "90", "temp-target" : "78", "auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "log" : "5", "log-dateformat" : "1", "scrypt" : true, "queue" : "5", "scan-time" : "1", "expiry" : "1", "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin" } I just get the message "need to specify at least one pool server", which I thought I'd done with "url" : "127.0.0.1:22555" Arghhhhh try rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 in conf file Still no luck! Man I'm terrible at solo mining.....

I'm always pretty bad at getting solomining to work, and usually give in as a pool is launched by the time I've got sorted. Could someone please post their BAT file text on here, so I could copy it and get up and running please?

why not - my first IPO and if you want to screw me over, you've gained less than 50 cents! TXID c4d84a27732384d78364cea1cfede8369d0e63b141bf1f0615a820478e872868 Looking forward to seeing how this goes I'll run away with that 50 cent and I'll buy a island in Thailand. Thanks for joining IPO! If I buy in twice, can you get me a 2nd island?
