How the hell assistant ref flagged for offside in last moments of the game? Simply incredible, that is why you have the VAR, let it draw the lines after the play finishes.
Yup, this is crazy. I understand the ref, you expect the linesman to be 300% sure it's off in that moment in time. If he flags (and the rules clearly say to flag only if you are 100% sure), you call it. The linesman was looking at de Ligt, and even he is so marginally off that you don't call it in a situation like this. All in all, a much better SF than Tuesday's one. Real will walk over Borussia in the final.

Damn you Monaco! Their overtime loss means I'm 2-0 down against jeremypwr. Still 5 different questions to go so a comeback is still possible. Not a great start though in a really important round for me.
Barcelona struggling against Oly as well, halftime is 27-25. I don't recall such a low-scoring HT in a basketball game in a long time.

I was cheering for Borussia and I'm glad they're in the final, but this was extremely lucky for them and they'll have to perform much better to actually win it. PSG have only themselves to blame though - unlucky or not with all the goalframes hit they still failed to score in 180 minutes of football against the weakest SF team.
Borussia will hope it's Bayern in the final, against them they might have a fighting chance. Against Real I just don't see it.

Both OKC and Boston claimed really easy wins yesterday - not something I expected. I feel a bit hard done by for losing the 1st question - PSG had 4 crossbars and a penalty claim in the last minutes I thought was valid. Also - Borussia's win means the Germans are surely claiming the 5th CL spot - occupied by Borussia - which means their weekend game vs Mainz is irrelevant and I have them to win Still, that's sports - let's see how today ends. I was surprised to see that the majority of the Euroleague picks were 'No', much better teams are playing at home and I feel that I'm at least equalizing through that one. I liked my answers compared to jeremypwr's, not that much anymore.

I have Been away for some weeks due to some health restrictions and i have to tell someone to always help me out with my submissions every week due to the fact that i don't wanna drop out of the competition and make division 1 un-serious. And unbelievable! I have lost 4 rounds and also out of the cup competition. Damm, Well, I'm back now and good to see you all again...and cls63 get ready for a hot coffee week...... I have missed alot 😕
Wow, this is commitment Shame it didn't work out better for you. __________________________ 4 of you submitting in the last 2 minutes, this was cutting it close in a round where the risk was not really worth it. Imarios in the last 15 seconds Ulven failing to submit gives Renato297 crucial points in relegation struggle. This might be an expensive one for Ulven. Same with MAAManda, who was close to the playoff spots but will now probably stay below.

Firstly. the BTC prize is just 1, for the best winner right? Only 1 winner so it's the guy with most points from all the rounds.
Ideally, yes. It might happen that 2 or more players are tied with the same amount of points, then the prize will be equally split between them and we'll have Last Men Standing - The points are calculated after the final round and the winner is the person with the most points collected. If there are multiple players with the same amount of points, the prize will be equally shared among them.
Secondly, then, I guess, the re-buy-in won't make sense if you have too few points right? I'm just trying to think of a reason why someone would buy in again since if you are kicked out, you are with very big distance from 1st already. I would for sure rebuyin if it's a format of like the old Sportsbet Bracket Challenge. Everyone who makes it starts with zero points again.
But if #1 has 10 points and I got 5 in round 1, why would I buy-in again to chase 5 points?
This is important to ask because let's say, before the final, if 1 guy is too many points ahead, the rest will feel they will not want to re-buy for 5mbtc, then nobody rebuys and the "Final" is not exciting.
Good question and the answer will vary based on how people approach it. I will pay all the way to knockouts for sure, because there's a lot of points still in play and I'll feel I can catch up even if it's 5 points difference. If I'm 5 points behind in the final I'll be more careful ofc, but somebody will surely be closer than that. The competition is purposely made in a way in which early rounds don't mean much. In 3 group rounds max you can get is 30 points, and in the other rounds it's an additional 75 points to play for. Preliminary round is also something to take into consideration. If you're 5 points away from the leader but have better answers to some of the initially posted questions, that initial round might help you win it after all.

I don't like to submit early but nothing to wait for in this round I guess. Wherever I do this, I always feel like I'm not submitting with the best possible data How convenient that new calculations included you for freebet And this dirty mafia crime syndicate is doing it in front of everyone in public! I lost the freebet already - suits me right when I think Man Utd has a chance of winning against anybody. I upset Mini Mafia though - he was winning his duel until it was changed. Friction in mafia headquarters incoming?

Well I answered yes on the signup form wether I understand or not but I probably only get around 80% of it lol.
That's good enough, we'll explain in more detail if needed when we start. So far it seems that everybody understands, but it's people from BSFL so far so that's normal. We'll see how the new ones answer You guys are going to be very busy this summer If EURO 2024 competition is going to be active in the same time as BSFL league. ... Now LMS needs logo That's the plan! We watch all Euro games anyway (at least I do, I'm sure Trofo does as well) so why not have some fun with it? BSFL will keep running normally, there won't be any double questions but BSFL will be heavy on EURO as well. Regarding the logo - it's only a 1-month long competition. If you want to showcase your skills though, we'll gladly add it I have a question about buy-ins. Are we allowed to buy-in only when we get kicked out? For example, if someone gets kicked out in the first round, he can buy-in only for the second round or can he skip a round or two? I guess not, but just want to be sure.
You have to buy for the next round. Anything else is pointless for you anyway, because the person with most points in all rounds combined is the winner - getting to the final doesn't give you anything other than the freebet and there's no way you get the 1st place if you miss a full round.

Like i said in the BSFL post count me in and thanks for bringing another majestic contest.
As far as i read is a combination of BSFL and the system used in PotB of UCL made by Buwaytress or im missing something?.
Not really, in buwa's Pot B you could pick the games. Here you'll still have to answer all the questions, like in regular BSFL. In some rounds (just 3 out of 8 - we want to test it for the future without risking too much) there will be just a few questions that will be inclined to one option, with a riskier option available for more points. If we asked in BSFL who quailfies to the final, Real or Bayern, most would pick Real - and the bookies give it 1.50 odds. But if we awarded 1 point for Real and 2 for Bayern, some people would risk with Bayern. These kind of questions we will have in the preliminary round (that is the one that will be settled only at the end and have questions like winner, best goalscorer etc), in R16 and in quarterfinal round. With this we want to keep it exciting even if you're 5 points behind - this way it gives you more options to try and catch up. I expect to see 30+ people minimum from BSFL and pools alone. I'll probably buy-in after the inevitable "getting kicked out" phase, 9.5mbtc set aside for buy-ins -- that has got to be the most premium fee on forum, but the format and prize makes complete sense.
Perhaps a question because of the possible tight deadlines -- what if the buy-in to deadline timeframe is very small? Just thinking of possible Bitcoin network run-ins here plus timezone. Will affect me as I'll be in a very different timezone during the tourney, I suppose one should be able to request buy-in and pay perhaps with a grace period?
We aim for 50+, which means that with re-buys the top reward might increase quite a bit. I will surely re-buy to eternity if needed but as Trofo said, 2 or 3 might be the soft spot. Prizes include drinks!! ??
Sure, but the check is paid by the.. .. .. Last Man Standing! ___________________________________ We're really excited about this format, guys. If it goes well, it will probably run as a side-competition in each BSFL season where players from all divisions can participate together. More about that if this goes well though

Ha! Baš me zanima koliko ljudi će razmišljati na isti način.

Bookies language home or away...
Anyway so this is asking for who will win based on the team in brackets or 1X2?
We are asking if Slovakia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Austria and Latvia will win against the teams in brackets. In the question it says: overtime/penalties win will count as a win - meaning that there is no draw.

Am i the only one that finds Q10 to be vague of a question?
"10. The IIHF World Championship in hockey is starting on Friday in Czech Republic. It is a tournament that’s hard to predict because NHL playoffs are in full swing and teams are missing some of their key players. We have a good number of even games early on, will the following teams win them?Overtime/penalties win will count as a win, teams are Slovakia (vs Germany), Sweden (vs USA), Czech Republic (vs Finland), Austria (vs Switzerland) and Latvia (vs France). Please answer in the following format: Yes, No, No, No, Yes. This is a H2H question."
Wouldn't it be much easier if this asked if Home teams will win or something??
For example: The IIHF World Championship in hockey is starting on Friday in Czech Republic. It is a tournament that’s hard to predict because NHL playoffs are in full swing and teams are missing some of their key players. We have a good number of even games early on, will the Home/ or Away teams win them?
Just my 2 cents...
There are no home teams other than Czech Republic All games are played in 2 cities - Group A in Prague and Group B in Ostrava. It would be inaccurate to write 'home teams', because some bookies can put it as Slovakia - Germany while others can write Germany - Slovakia.

As promised, our new competition is live! Still over a month to go, but we want to give it enough time to explain all the rules if needed and to give you enough time to collect a budget for it, considering it involves expensive re-buys. We're happy to present Sportsbet's EURO 2024 Last Man Standing, for which you all have a free entry!
|

|
We are pleased to bring another creation from the Cro2 laboratory to Bitcointalk community! This time, we’re debuting the high risk high reward Last Man Standing competition that we will pilot during the Euro 2024 tournament. How does it work?- In a BSFL-like system, a questionnaire will be sent before each round of the EURO2024 competition and you will have to submit your answers before the deadline.
The difference is that it will not be a H2H format, but a winner takes all type of competition where the total amount of points at the end of the tournament will define the winner. - There are 8 rounds in total – one round before the competition starts and another for each Euro round (3 in groups, 1 in R16, 1 in QF, SF and the final).
- All teams with the lowest amount of points per round (ignoring the initial pre-tournament bonus round) will be disqualified from the tournament after the end of that round.
If they want to continue playing, a re-entry buy-in fee must be paid before the next round’s deadline. Please note that if you have the highest amount of total points and are the worst one in that round, you’re still disqualified. - The re-entry fees are 0.5 mBTC after Group games 1, 2 and 3, 1 mBTC after R16, 2 mBTC after QF and 5 mBTC after the SF round.
Re-entry fee must be paid 24h after the end of the previous round. - The points are calculated after the final round and the winner is the person with the most points collected. If there are multiple players with the same amount of points, the prize will be equally shared among them.
Prizes and buy-ins- The main prize starts at 0.1 BTC and rises with re-entry buy-ins.
Sponsorship money has arrived and you can track the balance on our escrow address. All of it goes to the Last Man (Men) standing. - Initial entry is free for members of all SB sponsored competitions (paid pools + BSFL, not free bet contests), otherwise it’s 1 mBTC.
- All buy-ins go to the main prize, which we’ll transparently increase after every round and you will be able to track it on dedicated escrow address in real time.
- There is also a 1000$ freebets budget to award. Currently we plan to evenly distribute the freebets to all people reaching the finals, excluding the winner.
We might change this at a later date when we see the amount of players that signed up. - Every member that reaches the knockout stages (passes the initial 3 rounds, either regularly or with rebuys) will receive a 0.5mBTC freebet.
Competition rules- There will be a questionnaire for every round and it will consist of multiple questions – the BSFL participants already know how it looks like.
- There will be 10 questions in the pre-tournament round, 10 more in the group stages, R16 and QF and 5 questions in semifinal and final rounds.
- Total amount of points possible to collect will vary per round.
Group rounds, semifinal round and final round will have a maximum of 10 points possible to collect, while the pre-tournament round, R16 and QF rounds will have a maximum of 15 points. In these rounds with 15 points as the maximum some weighted options will be offered in some questions, so there will be options to win 1 or more points – based on answers. In the semifinal and final rounds there won't be weighted options but each answer will be worth 2 points. - This difference in points was made so that catching players is more possible – the average possible point per question rises from 1 to 1,5 to 2 as the tournament progresses.
- You can use VAR (change one of the answers before the deadline) 3 times during the competition.
BSFL participants already know this, but to use VAR you need to send the pick you want to change to Trofo or me before the submission deadline for that round. - All questions will be strictly about football on EURO2024.
- Official statistics from UEFA EURO 2024 will be used to evaluate results.
Submission rules- We plan to cover every game in the EUROS - therefore submission time will be much shorter than in BSFL (sometimes even less than 1 day).
- We will notify you twice - at the time we post the questions and 1-2h before the actual deadline.
Please install Telegram Bitcointalk bot. You will get notified every time we tag participants for important info. Late submission penalties- In case of late submission, the player can still play in that round if he pays the evil fee.
Evil fee is the same fee that would have to be paid if the player was the last one in that round, so 0,5mBTC in the group stages and 2mBTC in the quarterfinals. - If a player that rebuys after late submission ends up with the worst round result, his submission does not count towards the ‘lowest score’ group.
This means that if he’s the worst one with 3 points and 7 others have 4 points, all of them are out of the competition unless they rebuy back in. Sign-up formYou can sign up here. The submission list can be seen here._________________________________________ We’re happy to hear your comments about the format and are ready to start discussing EURO 2024.

I have recalculated everything due to F1 result change and Sainz penalty, Trofo will still recheck in the afternoon before posting the results and updating the tables. I'm doing this at work again on a small screen so recheck yours if you can. That means that freebet winners for Round 8 are:Division 1 - mv1986 (40$ freebet) Division 2 - cryptofrka (30$ freebet) - what kind of mafia job was this, huh? Puppet masters to the F1 Division 3A - execijutiere (10$ freebet) Division 3B - bullrun2024bro (10$ freebet) This has been rechecked 3 times so these are ok to be paid out @jeremypwr if you're still in the process of doing so. If not - you guys know the drill - next Monday. Tagging you all so you are aware of the F1 changes - it drastically changed some results. vd309 Harkorede leea-1334 mitchr4 cls63 Slissy mv1986 jayce slackovic buwaytress darxiaomi notblox1 Trofo strongkored chi20 LTU_btc cryptofrka jeremypwr slaman29 Igebotz vivekdkhyani hakan2217 Renato297 Saint-loup ralle14 ulven dbshck arallmuus imarios Hhampuz Jinetics1111 B1g4udge entebah ILuckyGuyI LFC_Bitcoin PedroCunhaYori BitcoinHunt3r Kokee44 Dittoup Spack17 Kara.aa1 yassinmanai shogun47 goodpunt MAAManda execijutiere Woodie Omikifuse famososMuertos bullrun2020bro Patikno Rikafip Ozymandias_DZ Flokiii

@cryptofrka and Trofo
Just of curiosity how will F1 stewards enquiries be handled? There was a stewards enquiry and Perez switched places with Sainz after Sainz got awarded a 5 second penalty. Reminds me of horse racing.
We will change it accordingly, meaning that current points and results are incorrect. That happens sometimes with F1, which is why we always takae a bit of time before officially announcing results. F1 finishes with Ferrari cars in 3rd and 4th spot, meaning that the total amount of points is 38 and I miss a freebet on 1 point That means that freebet winners for Round 8 are:Division 1 - Harkorede (40$ freebet) Division 2 - arallmuus (30$ freebet) Division 3A - execijutiere (10$ freebet) Division 3B - bullrun2024bro (10$ freebet) jeremypwr - please don't pay these out. Due to changes in F1 standings after the race, there will be changes.

Btw looking at the full schedule, so after this round division 3 has two more rounds to go and then a month's break to wait for division 1 and 2 to conclude wow this will be a long wait.
Division 3 has playoffs in that time. If you do well in the Playoffs, no need to wait Glad to see Slissy losing, I'm now 1 win behind in our sidebet. He's playing Trofo next, he ain't winning that as well.
