281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you here for the right reasons on: September 12, 2018, 07:13:07 PM
I think most of us are here to get rich! Along the way we can encourage the use of blockchain technology, and as we learn more about crypto i think we will become users and not just investors. As long as we hodl the riches will come as well
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still support Ethereum, if Vitalik left it? on: September 11, 2018, 07:36:01 PM
He is not only the founder but also the front man for ethereum. If he is not there the brand will be affected, but it will continue anyway. When Steve Jobs died Apple still continued but it has lost that fanboi passion when huge queues used to form outside the apple stores
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does a Successful ICO Really Require $$$$ on: September 11, 2018, 07:18:06 PM
An ICO can be successful on a minimum budget but the project is going to be a risk. Without funds there is not going to be a big team, most likely a one man band who can simply take all the funds and run away. If more people are involved the the money is safer as someone else is also watching it
284  Other / Archival / Re: ICO without whitepaper on: September 11, 2018, 07:15:31 PM
What is also shocking is when they release the ICO and say that the whitepaper is being written. Why not release the ICO and whitepaper at the same time! It's either a scam or poor management planning, either way it will not be worth investing in. If you do, then it must be with caution
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty managers to be blamed? on: September 11, 2018, 07:07:57 PM
An experienced bounty manager will be able to identify scam ICOs, but they are unable to determine if one will succeed or not. If it turns out to be a scam then they are also wasting their time as well, counting stakes will lead to nothing if they don't pay the bounty manager
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jobless No More on: September 10, 2018, 08:15:42 PM
Earning through airdrops and bounties should be considered a part time job or something temporary while looking for stable income. Most airdrops are just scams, and some bounties are either scam or unsuccessful projects and will therefore close down or not pay the bounty.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Neo wallet hacked after contributing an NEX ICO on: September 10, 2018, 08:12:48 PM
When you say you logged into your NEX extension did you check it was the real deal? I think this is the issue here, most likely it was a scam version phishing for private keys and passwords. One of the admins on their telegram channel should be able to help you figure out what went wrong
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Dogethereum trial was successful on: September 10, 2018, 08:08:43 PM
There is a possibility of success here, bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash seems to have done well. Dogecoin is a successful brand so this new hybrid might do well too. I personally won't be investing as there are better coins in the market and this is no time to take risks, but others are welcome to do so.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where are We heading MOON or Another DUMP on: September 08, 2018, 07:45:37 PM
When there is mass printing of Tether it doesn't mean bitcoin will moon or dump, it is likely to do both. Those tether guys are well known market manipulators, i think it will dump quite a long way down like 6k again, then after the accumulation it will pump back up to 20k again.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are a Decentralized Encrypted Virtual Currency on: September 08, 2018, 07:27:20 PM
It seem like a decent exchange but it needs to stand out as there are many decentralised exchanges being built right now. I suggest you get a selection of privacy coins as they will match the theme of decentralisation. Look at verge, DeepOnion, XSPEC, and the other lower volume coins.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SELL ALL YOUR FIAT AND LIVE 100% CRYPTO!!!! on: September 08, 2018, 07:18:54 PM
When those guys decided to ditch fiat and switch to crypto it was stable and rising, but now it's looking quite bleak. This prolonged bear run shows you just how volatile the market is. I wouldn't risk it just yet, in a few years time when crypto goes mainstream that's when i'll consider swapping
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum just crashed 10% in 3 hours on: September 08, 2018, 07:00:02 PM
Ethereum is good for ICOs because it is a popular and trusted platform. People will put up with it being slow and bloated simply because they know that it works. There are much better blockchain projects such as NEO that they can use instead, it is quicker and has mass appeal across Asia.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO price and Listing price on: September 04, 2018, 05:52:15 PM
It's annoying when all the bounty hunters go on telegram and keep asking when it will list on an exchange, don't see much asking about the ICO price, those are the ones that will dump at any price. Hard to avoid those guys, i think they are the social media bounties who apply for everything
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is about to pop!? on: September 03, 2018, 08:15:20 PM
Ethereum is cheap at the moment but that is because ICOs are struggling now to pay their way. Can't pay bills in crypto yet so they need to cash out and pay office rent, electricity, people etc. If it can rise up again, it must be due to a really good ICO based on the ethereum platform
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emotions can hinder our success! on: September 03, 2018, 08:12:30 PM
You need to train your mind to be a complete robot, no emotions and no over-reactions. Dumping too early due to panic selling can be a very costly experience, sadly we have all done it including me! We learn from these mistakes, hodl all the way and wait for the highs
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most glorious coin now? on: September 03, 2018, 08:05:36 PM
The USDT is a good purchase during turbulent times, but the market is changing so I would say take a chance with alts right now. NEO, LISK, even Dogecoin is doing well right now. Keep at least 25% in BTC but the rest can be invested in various alts
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you learn any hard lessons from Crypto or a an altcoin this year? on: September 03, 2018, 07:51:58 PM
I learned that you should not hodl coins forever, just wait until it is at the highest point and then sell it. The market moves in cycles so you need to pick the right spot and then do what needs to be done. Either sell it or switch to a stable coin instead
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: September 02, 2018, 08:06:29 PM
Not just multiple wallets but multiple exchanges. I spread them out to different desktop wallets and various exchanges, more on binance which is more trustworthy, with smaller amounts on low volume exchanges for shitcoin trading
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Views on DAEX Blockchain Project on: September 02, 2018, 08:01:12 PM
The website is down so i guess this is just another failed ICO or perhaps even a scam. It's a shame when these projects come and go, it makes it harder for investors to join in as they won't know which ones are good without extensive research.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to minimize the risk of being scammed. on: September 02, 2018, 07:50:33 PM
It depends on how smart the scammer is, if you look at he bitconnect debacle it was blatantly obvious that it was a ponzi scheme, and they operated in plain sight. Those guys were smart and many people fell for it. Follow your brain and ignore the hype
