281  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit on: September 19, 2011, 07:11:06 PM
Hi

I was trying to send some bitcoins, 0.001 to be exact.
But multibit says that i am unable to spend, though it reports that i have bitcoins in my wallet.
I have included a screenshot.
Am i doing something wrong ?

Greetz, Roland.

any idea if and when the coin will be for sale ?
283  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit on: September 18, 2011, 03:28:32 PM
Hi there,

just installed multibit and it seems to be working fine, its still waiting to verify the first 0,5 received bitcoins.

A few questions:
- Is it possible to display the std receiving adress somewhere in the main screen, with an easy way of copying it ?
- Will it stay a java app, or will there be some kind of installer in the future ?

Thanks!

Roland.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Help me explain/promote bitcoin to the regular joe. on: September 06, 2011, 08:21:35 AM
Hi there y'all!
Just a quick post from the netherlands.

I was just wondering if we can make up a good case for the regular joe bag-o-donuts to use bitcoins.

For me there are multiple reasons, like the technology, the bank-independence, the absence of fees,
but every time i try to explain it to the regular person they say: "well, i have a creditcard, that works great for me,
i can do international transactions with it, i can take back my payment if it goes wrong and the fees aren't that high."

So for me the problem is that i can explain why i would like to use it, and why a merchant would like to use it but i myself cant find a really good reason for the average person on the street to use it.

Help me out here! (please Smiley)

295  Other / Beginners & Help / Read weighted prices from JSON and display on site on: June 16, 2011, 09:40:35 AM
Hi there yall

For my website bitcoinspot.nl i want to display the daily weighted prices.
There is a json on bitcoincharts.com where you can get the data
http://www.bitcoincharts.com/t/weighted_prices.json

Can anyone help me out how i can display this data on my site, with maybe a javascript.

Best thing would be that i can also use this data to generate a chart, but thats the next question i guess Smiley

Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks for all the reply's, this is turning out to be a very interesting topic Smiley

First thing on my list is finding a lawyer to see what are the implications for me running an exchange.
So i guess that will take a while.

I will keep you posted!
