The giveaway is too little, compared with the total number.

Sorry, but that's all I personally have for giveaway. Anybody certainly could add coins for giveaway if she/he wishes.

This is mined with CPU? (do i set '4' when using a q6600??)

Any adaptations for cgminer out there?

(I replied to giveaway Smiley)

Yes, it's CPU coin.
Set 4, but try 3 also. It can be better for these processors.

I don't know about cgminer. We should ask ckolivas about it  Wink
There is also a pool for BCN (https://minergate.com) with a nice miner.

Please, add to the list

Exchangers - not known

It's not bitcoin clone BTE, it's old cryptocurrency that was named bytecoin much earlier than BTE. And it's not based on BTC code at all.

Nice pool, guys! I'll add link to it to unofficial thread Wink
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN?] Bytecoin (not a Bitcoin fork) + Giveaway on: March 24, 2014, 04:36:13 PM
This names are very confusing... Are there two coins with same name now ?!

Yes, now we have two coins with equal names and it's super-confusing.
I don't know how it has happened, but according to the BCN website (www.bytecoin.org) it was launched as Bytecoin about 1.5 years ago (Jul,2012) while BTE was started only spring, 2013.

So I'm still not sure who stole whose name   Grin

It's rather strange why we heard nothing about BCN though they have been working for so long, but BCN network hash rate shows 2-3 thousands machines in the net. And according to BCN community news (from site) they even had several meetups.

Giveaway still goes on!

Anybody knows why single transaction is splitted into several outputs sent to one person?
This should increase tx size. What's the point? Ans is this necessary?

I've also seen this, but still not sure why coins are delivered in several installments. Have you read the whitepaper? I guess, the answer should be there, but I'm not an expert so can't understand it well.

Is this the same ByteCoin that was announced by Maria?

Also, the website uses BTE and you're using BCN...

Not, it's not the same. Look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=164569.1000
It is not based on Bitcoin code at all and I'm not an expert in it, but I tried to mine it and found block. And made the giveaway.

You are welcome to discuss it there.
