I think these air-tites might work for it "T30.6 Air-Tite Direct Fit Capsule  US Half Dollars"  per the air-tite website they are 30.6mm and the coins are 30mm

Thanks. I'm so sick of ordering airtites for some of these coins and not having them fit though... I can't even find one for a certain USA coin I'm trying to restore a boxed set of lol... JP's corner is usually my airtite people, but even they can't find the right one for me (yet).   I'll let MJ or someone try one first and confirm. (Also, I hate coins that rattle in the airtites so I'm kinda OCD lol. Cheesy

Sunnybwoy, those are perfect pics, that's pretty much exactly as mine looked.

Maybe a good staple or 2 would help the process?

Yes, this would have been perfect actually. lol.

Oh well, still sweet looking coins! Cheesy

Lol I’m sick of ordering air-tites for everything too. When I receive my coins I will use my caliper and let you know the exact size. I always use https://www.air-tites.com/.  If they don’t have a direct fit, they’ll have foam inserts to help make it snug.

Make sure you put gloves on your calipers tips.

As per their website. https://www.alpencoin.ch/faq

Not this again Chicago, cotton gloves leave fuzzies behind.  Non powdered nitrile is best if you want gloves but naked and just handling the rim is 100% acceptable.  Most professional coin dealers go naked as they feel the risk of dropping the coin with gloves outweighs having gloves.

Edit to add:  I am not getting a test sample this round as they sold out prior to shipping it and ran out.  They are sending one of the next, matte, versions.

290  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🧡 Ethereum Collectible Coin from Silver 🧡 [MINTEUS] on: August 11, 2020, 12:26:38 PM
€92 seems a bit steep for 1 oz of silver, specially that spot price is like €15
I understand it's limited edition, but still,  €50 euro more than what i'd be willing to pay for it

Where is this 15 euro spot silver?  I would like 5,000 ounces please.

292  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Hong Kong Silver buttons under spot on: August 07, 2020, 08:56:29 PM
Just a quick note to say I have bought precious metals from this user on another forum and verified via message on that forum that this is the same person.  Shipping to US did indeed take a bit of time but the items were exactly what I paid for.

Happy to offer escrow if needed at no fee.

295  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Buying a roll of buyer funded lealana on: August 05, 2020, 01:46:48 PM
Can I still buy a roll while I'm selling one?

Yes, and I predict you will lose money on both sides of the trade.
296  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Taking offers on a roll of brass lealana tenths on: August 05, 2020, 12:41:58 AM
Phishead bought them direct from smoothie and cannot find them. I don't see how that's possible but I guess it happens

I already sent smoothie an email. I think he is busy on a private island enjoying life to be concerned about my little issue

You say you don't see how it is possible phish cannot find them yet you bought them without verifying the addresses came with your purchase?  I don't see how that is possible.

You will not hear back from smoothie.

Well, obviously you are missing who you are talking about.

You're right, my bad.

I'm not splitting the roll up, unless they are all sold.

Because I had somebody PM me and only wanting a coupl3 coins.

Looking at the photo it sure looks like the roll is already split up.  An unopened roll would be, well, un opened.  What you have there is 10 20 x Lealana singles.
299  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alpen Coin - “Switzerland’s first ever physical bitcoin” on: August 03, 2020, 02:54:43 PM
there are some within that first 80 serial numbers that have been redeemed within minutes of their initial loading. Some then reloaded again and then redeemed again as well.

Probably test coins. Gotta make sure the whole funding thing works, I suppose.

Regards,
Chris

perhaps - I spoke with the guy over there by the name of Frank and he was really surprised to see interest stemming from outside of Switzerland and stated he was not aware their site had been posted here on bitcoin talk.org - their original intent was to develop a website for their friends and family so they could buy them and have access to their public key and funding verification.

He stated they will be working on adding an English version to the site and also stated that the coins are very much a "work in progress" still and admits that they have not loaded a lot of coins yet and their intent is to keep them as affordable as possible.

If I get more from them, I will share it.

I have a sample or two coming to me.  I will test including peeling and redeeming when they arrive.  I do not know much about Alpen Coin other than they (Frank of Alpen Coin) contacted me on the Instagram and offered to send me a coin.  They did not ask me to do a review or anything in return however I will post a review here once I have had a look.
