281  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] PureMining: Infinite-term, deterministic mining bond on: April 02, 2012, 10:32:48 PM
Just put a bid in, any idea on when you'll be releasing those additional bonds?
282  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] muBit - Bitcoin Venture Capital Fund (IPO Started with Asset ID "MU") on: April 01, 2012, 08:49:00 PM
Well if you go to the assets page you can see a link to old motions, here is the link for those not gifted with eyesight.

https://glbse.com/asset/old_motions/MU

I can get to the link you posted, but that link is not showing up on the page https://glbse.com/asset/view/MU.
283  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of GLBSE Non-Active/Scam Assets Shares on: March 30, 2012, 03:28:32 PM
I'm not saying that GLBSE rate them, and I agree that Nefario should NOT be the one doing the rating. I simply think that having a rating system would be a good idea and those items I listed would at least be a starting point. I did also combine a suggesting for a GLBSE feature I'd like to see added.
284  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of GLBSE Non-Active/Scam Assets Shares on: March 30, 2012, 03:20:23 PM
Would you guys like me to add a rating system for assets?

Ala mood, S&P etc.

How/who would rate them because even if I build it, I won't have the time to do the actual rating, I'm struggling with getting everything else done as it is.

Idea's welcome.

Awesome idea.

some of the things I'd like to see implemented into this rating are:
does the asset have a clear definition of what goes into dividends (x% profits from mining/arb bot/other, x% to growth, x% to CEO, etc)
does the asset have a clear definition of when dividends get paid
paid last x dividends on time
does the asset have an open book to allow open audits (mining asset with statistics site, investment co that publishes last months trades, etc)
clear definition of what happens to assets if/when the company goes offline (hardware sold and funds dispersed, existing capital distributed, shares/bonds purchased back by company, etc)
contingency plan on file with GLBSE in case asset creator gets hit by a bus/meteor/alien abduction
has other online verification (facebook, ebay, otc, linked-in, etc)
has meatspace verification (photo with ID and shoe on head, verified physical address, etc)

Most of this is usually covered by the contract, or on the assets forum post, but having it more standardized would be great. If GLBSE doesn't yet hold contingency plans, then this would be a great new addition I think.

i ran a poll, and about 50 users will be selling / buying diablo3 items (in May when it comes out) this will lead to many new bitcoin users actually using bitcoin for trading.

bitcoin is perfect for diablo3, because  Ebay hates selling this kind of virtual item

and its true you will be able to sell your stuff for real money with the in game auction house. but NOT for hardcore mode (the mode where, when you die you lose everything), blizzard will not have auction house for this hardcore mode. so now we NEED to use bitcoin.

I'm hoping diablo3 & bitcoin will create a BUZZ in the MMORPG world, and one day we will see the first MMORPG using bitcoin in game

+1

As a community, we need to make the Diablo community aware of the benefits of bitcoin, and of sites like ogrr.com that allow trading in game items for BTC. This will bring bitcoin 1 more step into the light.

Have you considered opening a bond on the GLBSE and doing your business through that?
287  Economy / Securities / Re: TyGrr-Bot (GLBSE) ~automated arbitrage trading system~ on: March 29, 2012, 01:26:22 PM
I see that you pay dividends at 6:00 PM, but on what day? Also, now that you have sold roughly 50% of the IPO, has the bot started trading?
288  Economy / Securities / Re: TyGrr-Bot (GLBSE) ~automated arbitrage trading system~ on: March 27, 2012, 12:09:38 PM
So many cool IPOs, so little spare BTC to buy them... Sad
289  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Sē Capital Management on: March 27, 2012, 12:06:37 PM
I have a buy order for 1 before the IPO is available. Lets see what happens.
290  Economy / Services / Re: [GLBSE] Feedback wanted: Gigamining, the first 5Mh/s mining bond on: March 26, 2012, 06:52:32 PM

291  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Announcement] Bitscalper under new management. on: March 26, 2012, 05:08:42 PM

292  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TyGrr-Bank 3% weekly dividends (2.5% starting April 3rd) on: March 26, 2012, 02:56:18 PM
Update the OP with any changes like dropping the rate and the date that it will be put in place, once the final decision is made.
293  Economy / Services / Re: GLBSE2.0 has launched! on: March 25, 2012, 03:15:30 PM
New site looks awesome. Just a suggestion and it may already work this way... On the portfolio page similar to the deposit history, can you have a dividend history of dividends paid to me and by what stock? I have several stocks and it would be nice to see the most recent dividend payments on that front page.
294  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] muBit - Bitcoin Venture Capital Fund (IPO Soon, Advice Needed) on: March 24, 2012, 12:16:46 PM
I missed the cognitive IPO waiting on funds to be deposited, but I'll be sure to get in on this one. If people reading your records and just copying you is an issue, then you can always remain fully open, but publish on a delay of a week or something. Best of luck to you guys.
295  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! IPO NOW: Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: March 24, 2012, 12:24:31 AM
argh. I was waiting on GLBSE to verify the BTC I sent in and by the time they actually showed up the IPO shares were gone. I was going to buy 50, but not at the rate of 1.25.

GL with this
296  Economy / Lending / Re: [WANTED] 10,000 BTC loan - LONG TERM on: March 23, 2012, 04:26:35 PM
And people thought I was crazy asking for 2,000.  Cool

I saw your thread, Matthew, and that was actually what spurred me to do this.  I think 2-3 years from now, we will look back on the "huge" loans that are being attempted today, and think "how quaint!".  The pace of change and maturing nature of the bitcoin economy is pretty awesome.

2-3 years ago 10,000BTC bought a pizza, 2-3 years from now it will buy a house, and 2-3 years after that people will wonder why anyone ever loaned millions of USD on a forum.
297  Economy / Services / Re: [GLBSE] Help me define a new mining operation on: March 21, 2012, 02:04:00 PM
Any update on this. I'd be on board for a few BTC when this IPOs.
298  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Open Ended Investment Opportunity on: March 19, 2012, 11:53:53 PM
just my .02BTC

1. Change to a weekly rate so you are on the same time frame as almost all the other investments.

2. Do higher rates for amount deposited rather than length of the account being open.

3. I'll second the update emails/PMs with dividend or interest that gets reinvested. A spreadsheet with anonymous user identification may work as well.
299  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 2x 5830 and 1x 5770 on: March 19, 2012, 05:31:17 PM
payment received. 2x 5830s will be shipped when I get home from work. Tracking info will be PM'd

The forum numbers will grow dramatically when Diablo 3 is actually released. There is not much market for D2 stuff now, and most of the other games they have listed don't have as large market potential. Look for the numbers to double by June, then skyrocket from there. My guess is 200,000 by the end of the year.
