I am sure most are aware that Bitcoin normally is not anonymous. It can have a good amount of anonymity quite easily if necessary by running through a few exchanges and mixers.

I fail to see how Bitcoin eliminates tax. Currently we have to pay a tax when the value appreciates and when it becomes more popular there will be laws regarding other taxes too.

It takes me a day from downloading the core wallet and getting it synced. If this proposal increases that time then I am against it.

You can try blockchain.info. In the custom send you can set the miner fee and make it 0 if you so wish.
Paying less than the recommended is not advisable, the transaction may remain stuck.

One more question. How would I setup Circle to send my bitcoins to my wallet?
Your bought coins will be in your Circle account. From withdrawal page you can withdraw to any address you want. |

Personally I think it is simply too easy to jump into the marketplace; buy a Hero or Senior Account, perhaps even with no Trust Posts, do a small number of micro transactions to gain some posts, and then run any number of scams to steal peoples money or information.
I know theymos has more than enough on his plate right now, especially with the recent outage and disk issues- but personally I think instituting a simple ban on buying and selling accounts would provide greater security and be of greater benefit to the community than completely revising and restructuring the entire Trust System. The later also being, from what I would imagine, a whole lot of work.

It wouldn't. Banning the sale of accounts won't stop it from happening; it'll just be pushed off site and give users a false sense of security that it now doesn't happen. Besides, most people don't buy accounts to scam but when they do they're usually busted by the community before they even get the chance to so you've got more chance of wasting your money than actually scamming it from someone else. Banning would mean buyers would be risking it and that will drastically reduce the market. Putting up a simple warning in trade areas that accounts may have been bought would be an enough warning. That argument is a poor attempt to keep it going. |

Looks like xpy is heading back to drk on a large scale... sanity has returned...
What made it drop? Nothing but blind hope and short term speculation is holding it up. It will go down and disappear but will take time. If you have a bag accept your losses and move out. It will drop to zero with certainty. I am just somehow curious what made it drop? The CEO not appearing at the Miami Bitcoin Conference? I expect so. Some who were still holding on to the the belief that it will all come good and that they will be saved would have realised that they have been scammed. |

I really do not see how GAW/Josh can be solvent as a business. With BTC so low now and XPY always floundering and falling atm. How can he possibly meet all his obligations to his community, let alone any investors and then the buy back that is planned. Some pages back I remember Suchmoon posted a list of dates that was supposed to take place (announcements, new features etc) I wonder how those are coming along? There is so much littered around pertaining to paycoin its hard to track it all lol. I suppose the new Op is a great record of all this... what a gawsome mess though. I bet he is claiming there is no obligation. They have earned a lot by running the ponzi for a year and by dumping PYCs on greedy customers who bought all the way up to $10. They have now enough to move on and let the bagholders despair. |

if you dont have time now you can safe it for later use why selling your own personal account ? that doesn't make any sense if you dont have time so just sell your account
There is a good chance it is being resold. There are a few who buy and sell accounts. It may also be hacked. Insist on a signed message. It has not been hacked and the account was acquired several (4+) months ago with no issues. How can you assure that the previous one won't create a problem? For reference see Jazkal and Gambitv. |
