281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 25, 2016, 07:37:46 PM
So the thing has started already?
The transition bot doesn't work...

Too late to link BTC address now, the 1st round of distribution already happened.

Upgraded to 1.0 and saw the distribution coming, great job dev!
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 22, 2016, 11:23:47 PM
What do expect here when there are wallets with 700-1000 btc and more linked?
Peanuts. doesn't seems a fair distribution.

Basically rich get richer. It's not like a free airdrop where everyone got same chance to receive based on task to solve.
I mean like some airdop where you need to do some work or task to apply (it means who got nothing got same chance as who got a lot)
It's more like "hey, i have 1000 btc, just press link address and you get more".

Not so much fair.

It's already centralized from who have more btc on his hand before launch. Just to not do nothing. You have more money then me, you get more byteball.

Man in real life you don't argue with these whales that have billions, do you? Why they have a such nice and big house overlooking the sea, why they have so many beautiful cars etc. You just live with it. Here is the same, you get your free and fair share and don't complain. I am thankful it is free at least, not like so many crap ICOs out there.

187 BTC already? people can't be so stupid...

No I guarantee you people are not stupid, the dev team is. Possibly >80% of the BTCs are from dev team and their friends, they just need 20% from you guys. You know, getting 20% BTCs from thin air is not bad at all Grin They are certainly some fools that will feed them.
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go up another 100% on: December 17, 2016, 06:43:06 PM
A few years ago I saw people predict bitcoin to $1000 then to $10000. I did not believed it. Bitcoin went to $1000 but not $10000. Now I think it will definitely go to $10000. Why? because it is like gold, the fiats devalue quickly, not bitcoin.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain real or hype? on: December 17, 2016, 06:40:51 PM
Of course it is real. With its unique features such as tamper proof, de-centralized and transparent, it finds it way into the financial and retailer sectors in big time. In a few years many payment systems will be based on blockchain.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 17, 2016, 06:35:13 PM

Incidentally, I finished developing our trustless exchange bot a day ago, just when you started this discussion.  How did you know?
It will exchange only internal assets, not a replacement for poloniex etc.

Please provide some more details? how to use it? what internal assets you meant? Is it blackbyte? I don't see any other internal assets...

I'll release it in a few days, need to make a few changes to the wallet too.
This version of the exchange will work with public assets only, blackbytes are private.

what are public assets? is it something i can create myself using smart contract? is byteball supporting smart contract? what is the language used? is it supporting now? If so, will do a try.

I give up. To me its a scam and fraud and im staying away. Please dont keep trying to change my mind or fight otherwise.

Glad to see you 'gave up' for about 8 minutes. Once again you're dumb as a box of rocks.

Dont see much value in this, not much new. ICO is for quick money for the "dev team". Look at these promoters working hard, lol. I will stay away. Only a few ICOs make sense, definitely not this one.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoingo UNmoderated thread-risky scam on: December 16, 2016, 06:14:43 AM
there are too many scams and shitcoins in this forum... but on the other hand, someone must gambling with these shitcoins. I am sure people doing them as they will get something at least sometimes.

I'm not worried till Ocminer chimes in. He doesn't run pools with infected wallets

I totally agree with you.
if it the wallet contains Virus OCMINER will not run a pool for it.

Continue to mine the price is rising

If any coin has a virus in its wallet, OCMINER cant tell you 100% sure!!
Virus can be added to compiled wallet!
Source can be clean, but source used to compile wallet may not be!!

These all are false positives but what can you do?

This is the only zcash clone I run in my desktop so far everything is good are all the other zcashclone coin also shows this false positives,if others also show that false positives, there's nothing we can do about it,since there's an internal miner working on..

You can look current bitcoin core at virustotal.
Let me tell you, easy fud to place on alts..
Even the latest bitcoin core has similar falses and the coinstealer flag!
But still it will scare people.

Would be great to find reason for these falses,
It is not ONLY the miner,
I can compile you a wallet that shows none bitcoin miner PUAs.

anyone know why we see these false positives? are there some special strings in the code that the virus detector caught? I don' quite get it as when I compile the alt coin code, sometimes, it is 100% clean, but sometimes there are 3-4 issues, not sure where they come from?
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 16, 2016, 06:09:04 AM
I linked my bitcoin address. But is there a way to verify it in byteball's wallet? It seems to me that every time I click on the receiving address, it generated some new ones. How do I know if my BTC address is linked to which of my byteball address?

Using the search function on the transition page, you can check your byteball address and linked btc addresses.

http://transition.byteball.org/

Thanks for information. If I have multiple byteball addresses, how do I see all of them? I see only the current/latest one.

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone please help me to understand the shitcoin pump and dump... on: December 14, 2016, 11:13:17 PM
Because the signature campaign they will eed to pay weekly with either bitcoin or their own coin. If they pay their own coin people will just dump and creating more selling pressure.
They can start by spreading hype solo and begin the signature campaign several weeks before the dump, it is trivial to maintain a signature campaign for one week without paying a satoshi, and that can easily be extended by making credible excuses for "postponing" payment ("I am too busy now please keep your signature and wait", "you are kicked out for not writing constructive posts", "NEW RULE: make your own s***coin wallet or get sacked (when the wallet generator does not work)", "I am running the thread but someone else is sending the payment, and they have been inactive for several day", "payment is postponed until I evaluate posts", "I am waiting for more payments to accumulate, to avoid dust transactions", "I lost my paper wallet, I will pay when I find it", "the campaign is experiencing technical issues, please keep your signatures"), they can keep doing this until the dump and disappear afterwards without paying anyone.

lol, there are different techniques to cheat, and this wild world is largely about cheating. So yes, playing this like swimming with sharks, I'd prefer to stick to more stable coins.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone please help me to understand the shitcoin pump and dump... on: December 14, 2016, 06:18:14 PM
I agree with most what you said. However, those who may rise again from depressed price are usually early fork of some new coins, like for example after zcash was out, there's a clone called zclassic, where there are quite some people mining and support. But I am talking on those coins with normal scrypt, SHA256, X11/X13 etc, really nothing new and nothing attractive, and sometimes the dev does not even bother to promo, but still sometimes I can see pumps happen, really don't get the logic behind it ...

I think that in most such cases the devs don't earn anything.
The pumps and dumps are orchestrated by special groups that pick low volume coins and try to earn from them. In many cases the groups don't know and don't care how bad the coin is. And as I said, when the price rises many go to buy, afraid that they may miss the train. And they become easy targets.
Then there are the exchanges. I am almost certain that many exchanges fake transactions (and some may even look like real pumps and dumps because of the low volumes) in order to show better volumes.

Of course, these are theories...

Yes what you said makes sense. For those really plain shitcoins they don't get much chances, sometimes they create multiple accounts to hype, usually these are newbie accounts. Then pump and try to dump, lol.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone please help me to understand the shitcoin pump and dump... on: December 14, 2016, 07:57:50 AM
It's known that there are many that invest in all they can because "it has a chance to rise".
And it's known that there are many speculators and speculator wannabes which, when the price rises, they buy, hoping to sell with profit.

A widely seen pattern for new coins (or at least from my knowledge) is high starting price, dump, big fall in the price, then, depending on the coin, some recover and rise, some not.
This means that many are not scared by the fact the price falls a lot at start. If the coin is good, they will earn after months or years, if not, they are bagholders with useless coins.

My guess is that the successful scam-devs are good manipulators. You need to invest carefully to create some hype around your coin, else the scam may fail.
I am almost certain that not all scam coin PND made the devs richer, but some did very good (heh..) scams.

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Someone please help me to understand the shitcoin pump and dump... on: December 14, 2016, 07:31:41 AM
I observed that many shitcoins come out on a daily basis. I call them shitcoins, because you can see clearly they are copy-and-paste coins, with nothing new other than some changes of parameters, and usually huge amount of premines. The devs aim at quick dump and try to make some money.

When these coins hit the exchanges, often there are some pump and dump. Someone, artificially pump the price for a while, then he will dump, and many such coin the price will go to 1 sat, with no one buying, usually it's the dead of the coin. The "dev" may start another coin etc.

Question is: how can these people make money? initially, there will be some people mine the coins, and they will dump all once the exchange exist. If dev artificially pump the price, will any people really follow him and buy?? I won't imagine there are people so stupid and let dev with huge premine to dump. So I think dev's pump is useless as those who mined the coin will dump regardless. But why I still see many pump then followed by dump in these shitcoins??

The distribution model has become such a distraction it dominates the community conversation, should be speaking more about the merits of the technology and platform.

Totally agree with this statement. We should focus on the benefits and new tech of this coin. As long as distribution method is reasonable as it is, it is fine with me.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing the birth of Atlascoin on: December 12, 2016, 11:45:08 PM
So many coins were laughed at in the beginning look how far they have gone now...

Lol, let's see how long your coin will last. This kind of shitcoin will die very soon. Clearly it is a shitcoin.

A few suggestions to make a good coin:
- show your credibility. you think you started with a newbie people will believe you?
- show your tech. anything new. doing a copy-and-paste coin and even using a crappy "Kimoto Gravity Well", does not help a bit your coin
- show some nice graphics, it doesn't help much, but can cheat a few people with low IQs.
- etc etc
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cannabis Industry Coin XCI anon blockchain for the legal marijuana NEW on: December 12, 2016, 10:18:10 PM
many coins for cannabis exist. does this one actually used by the cannabis industry? even if it is used by one dispenser it will be something. otherwise it is a simple shitcoin with nothing really in the mind of the developers.

This coin is less than 2 month old and provides a real privacy protection for the Legal Marijuana Patients and users. We are planning to starting XCI dispensaries promotion in early 2017. We will represent XCI at the 2017 World Medical Marijuana Business Conference & Expo and many other events around US. Although one can start XCI processing right now and also receive a bounty. Check the  10 000 XCI Brownie XCI https://xcicoin.org/brownie.html
No hurries, no worries, be patient, be #earlybird  Wink

Any plans? roadmaps? brochures? The need is there, dispensers are in need of this type of technologies, but so far I see none adopt it, why? because there are regulations. What district you plan to adopt it?
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GNEISS (Global Network Encryption Investment Security Service) ALPHA Launch &ICO on: December 12, 2016, 10:14:15 PM
@strasboug & @maryvale

No new tech??? Post a link right now of another site I could go to and create my own Ethereum smart contracts and exchange them for bitcoin as easy as GNEISS

There are plenty systems that do the similar things (albeit not tightly linked). what do you have?? you have only a few paragraphs description that I can make up in 10 mins. You call them new techs?? Give me a break! If you are serious about it, then at least do a detailed white paper with detailed algorithms, so people know exactly it can be implemented.

Want me to give you an example? Look at Byteball, read its white paper, and you understand why no one call it a scam.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 12, 2016, 10:08:02 PM
Come on ....of course the more hash power you have the more coins you will mine. That's not at all what I am saying is it?

Rich guy wants to rent hash he has to pay the same as you to rent hash.

Rich guy wants BB he gets magnitude more than you will for putting the same effort in of linking his BTC whale account.

Can you see here that BB is less fair than POW?

I can't reverse time and circumstances that made him rich and you poor can I? Life maybe was not fair but in crypto you can make things a little more fair for the poor (non BTC whales)

I am saying to you that this method will ensure that he (rich guy) will put the same effort and cost as you into BB and get magnitudes more coins. Where as if it was POW to get 2x more coins than you he will have to spend 2x more? If he spends the same as you he will get the same.

Yes there will be argument he owns his farm and you are renting hash - so what he had to buy the hardware. FYI I have a tiny amount of rigs in my house and will get far less mining than I will by linking my BTC accounts.

Also lots of hash whales tend to rent hash now on launches. Most GPU huge farms stick to high volume coins to unload and pay electricity and hardware loans anyway.

Well you are right about the rich guy need to spend btc to buy hash power, but if it is a profitable operation (like for example when zcash was launched), isn't rich guys will get a lot more profits than the poor guys? so what's the diff between the distribution proposed here? It's the same as the example of bank interest someone gave before.
