281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another successful Bitcoin seminar! on: March 08, 2020, 01:55:33 AM
I've never been to.any Bitcoin seminar. Six or seven years ago when I first started to deal with Bitcoin there was no such things and in general it was much harder to get relevant information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general than it is today.
Education in any form, online or off line is excelent and although the situation is much better than before, we don't have enough of it. Even spreading knowledge and information still depends only on enthusiasts and we all know there are never enough of them and learning is continuous process that never stops.

Well, I've never been to any seminar too, not even one. But I'm sure that seminars does a lot of work than online conversations because the tend to believe you more as they can see you with their eyes. Besides, they came with their jotters to make sure they capture all that was said. So, I'm quite sure that seminars are really helpful.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Another successful Bitcoin seminar! on: March 07, 2020, 08:56:44 PM
Today, I and my friend successfully held another bitcoin seminar. I remember how local the last seminar was, however, we stepped up a bit by advancing into a different and more convenient place and also, some edibles! Today, we elaborated to a new set of youths (±5) about bitcoin (and some other currencies). I still remember how surprised one of them was when he heard the price of bitcoin. However, I didn't forget to tell him that it's not about the price nor the price history of bitcoin as it has a volatile nature. I and my friend who held the seminar told them how they can earn from cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and the rest. We took enough time to elaborate. They were all very zealous and I loved that! We clearly warned them of the disadvantages of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I personally helped them sign up on the bitcointalk forum to help expand their knowledge. And also, they all have a bitcoin address. After everything, we reminded them that even though they didn't pay for the seminar (they only paid for the edibles), it wasn't the end of everything as we would follow them up. Phew! I feel relieved.

I hope I have the energy to continue doing this! For those asking who the OP is, I am the young guy wearing the bitcoin top. 😄😄
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 03, 2020, 09:28:35 PM
You can promote Bitcoin as the rest do here or in social media.
Tell them that:
- the halvening will double their profits.
- that there are standard returns of investment
- that price will go parabolic soon
- that soon Bitcoin will be a vertical line all the way up to $100K
- that it is the future
- that it will kill the dollar
- that it will be used by everyone
etc.
Add to that a little "store of value", hedge to wars, famines, viruses and total destruction of the planet from dinosaurs and you will be perfect.
Be like the cult in this forum. Be like Pomp and Ivar on Tech. You got this by the balls dude. Go get em.

Don't take this personal but I really think that some of the points here are quite misleading for them. I agree that it will be used by everyone. I even look my siblings in the eye and tell them that. I also agree that it's a good way to store value in terms of crisis like wars, etc. However, the other points aren't really something I'll want to tell anyone who wants to get into this sphere.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 03, 2020, 04:40:00 PM
It seems like OP is a creative person who makes promotions through YouTube media, which I know makes content not easy.

And myself The last few years I promoted Bitcoin through the t-shirt media that I made.  since I produced, about 500 shirts have been sold in my country.  That way I hope that Bitcoin can be known in various places.

These are beautiful. I actually bought a shirt with a bitcoin logo about a month and some days ago. I wear it at least once in a week. But I would prefer to get yours which doesn't make one look like a millionaire when he/she isn't.
Nice and awesome idea and work from you!!!
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 03, 2020, 04:36:50 PM
Your idea was creative and your effort is much appreciated. I must say that any step, even the smallest one, is still a step. Continue doing your passion and do not be disheartened because of negative comments. You could use of many other ways through the use of your social media platforms just think of spills, commentaries and captions that would really catch the attention and interest of the audience outright. It is really hard to educate and even encourage people to accept and engage with Bitcoin but still, there is no impossible if we really work hard to talking them through it.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement. The issue is that some people don't listen or read to understand; they're just in for replies. However, I won't stop what I do. After, only a little or no body does it as I do. I just dislike it when I'm being selfless and some else is being unappreciative. Thanks once more.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 03, 2020, 11:23:54 AM

Well it will be helpful if you will just leave your ideas here so we don't need to waste our time clicking and watching videos. But as a crypto lover, here are the useful promotion that I use in order to promote bitcoin.

Lol. I'm looking at the word "waste" and the other "time". Using these words makes it seem like I wasted my time making the video. SMH. Well, you could simply ignore the video and Read through the first 5 comments to help you get the point. Thanks for stopping by.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 03, 2020, 11:20:54 AM
My first attempt to promote BTCitcoin. It was when I made an online purchase and asked the seller if I could pay with bitcoin.
It was a successful purchase because the seller knew about it. But the challenge is for those who do not know.
I think that creating seminars would be a good way. In countries that are not banned bitcoin is a great advantage.

This is amazing!! I'm pleased to hear that the seller already knew about it. Maybe he didn't ask you because he thought you wouldn't know. And yeah; seminars are really a good way to promote bitcoin. Stay tuned to see how my next seminar turns out.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 02, 2020, 09:45:58 AM
promoting bitcoin is really something that is very good to be better known and many have contributed to it. but there are also problems for areas that are still very difficult internet network, because the introduction requires it.
possible to inform via mobile can be done but it is more effective if it can also help teach how to through a laptop / desktop computer. especially if we have ever benefited from bitcoin, it will be even easier.

Teaching people over the internet seems to be difficult for me. That's why I prefer holding seminars and discussing with friends about it than doing it over the internet. However, it is simple for some other people (not me).
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 02, 2020, 05:45:08 AM
It's very interesting how you promote bitcoin to everybody not all can do that nor create that pretty good animation. A lot of people are easily understand by showing them some video about bitcoin others are not. There are many times that I insert the topic about bitcoin about my friends but a lot of them not even interested. I told them that blockchain together with bitcoin are very popular now and it's the technology of our future. I show them prove that I own some bitcoin in my e-wallet to know them that it's legitimate. I also told them that it's an investment.

If actually you earn from bitcoin, you should show them your earning as a proof of how belpful bitcoin can be (in terms of earning). With time, they'll get to learn about the other advantages of bitcoin.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Held a bitcoin seminar today on: March 02, 2020, 05:42:15 AM
This is actually a good concept in sharing the information of bitcoin to newbies in the blockchain world. Give them a thorough enlightenment about the pros and cons of the sector is what we need to orientate them with because of the numerous scam surrounding the blockchain sector. Does the seminar also include a trading experiment section or it was just basically introduction of blockchain technology?

I didn't teach them trading cause that where most people lose their money and get disappointed with crypto. However, I mentioned and explain hodling to them.

i want to ask you a favor to extend that activities mate as we are needing more like you to promote crypto from others that has no idea in our market here.

293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 02:04:33 PM

  • letting people know the pros and cons
  • telling people how they can earn from home using Bitcoins
  • on your social media adding on bitcoins related stuff
  • creating your own group where you can buy and sell without any intervention

There is a lot and lot of ways with which you can help Bitcoins , make your own !

I made a video before based on those facts you just listed. You can watch that here (https://youtu.be/LwwOVcFPWKI)
Except from the video, I have done all the points you've mentioned. I hope others do that too. Thanks for stopping by!
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 01:58:08 PM
I think you can edit the laptop in that video, and add BTC logo, that would help the viewer to know the logo of bitcoin Grin

The next thing you can do is promote your channel in your social media so you can attract more audience that will come and watch your video. There are many ways that we can do to promote bitcoin, and many members already give a suggestion, which I am sure can help to socialize bitcoin in public. But we need to be patient because we cannot attract many visitors or people to curious with bitcoin, and it will require time for them to realize the existence of bitcoin.

Thanks a lot! Well, it's already late to make the edit of adding the BTC logo in front of the laptop. However, I'll used that idea whenever I intend to create another video. About promoting the channel, I'm not really good at that but I'll try.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 01:54:19 PM
Im not pushing you down or anything, but using your youtube channel as a medium to promote BTC isn't effective enough compared to just wearing a BTC tshirt then going outside.  Let's be honest, those 15 views? Majority if not all actually came from the people who visited your post and opened the vid. That's it. It isn't even promotion at this point. Why? Because people who know it are the only ones who have seen it. A much effective way to promote BTC would probably be posting the vid in facebook, though still not as effective as wearing a BTC themed shirt.

Still, nice vid. Probably create a bitcoin themed game (if you can, or if you can't, ask some programmers for help while you do the UI/front end) and post in in google play store. Probably better.

I do understand where you're headed. However, the thing is that the video is mainly aimed for those of us who are in this forum to see these means and make use of the ideas. Such a video is completely useless to a newbie who just heard of crypto, hence, it's for us in this forum. Anyone who reads the post and watches the video would know how he/she can support the promotion of bitcoin.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 01:50:01 PM
You don't actually need a video presentation to be able to promote the usage of bitcoin. With just a simple way you can actually endorse it to other people like posting in this kind of forum or trying to talk about in with your friends. In that way, they will realize that the usage of it is good for the economy of our government and other country.

I guess you probably didn't read to understand but to reply. I never said that video presentation is needed to promote bitcoin. If you watched the video or at least read the first 5 comments properly, you'd understand The Point. Thanks for your contribution tho. 😉
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 10:46:01 AM

You have such a talent and a genuine desire to help spread the word. You've listed great yet mainstream ways for people to learn about Bitcoin; talking about it, conducting seminars, writing articles, creating a video, and so on. That would indeed help people get curious about Bitcoin if they haven't yet heard about it. What I am thinking about right now is the adoption of Bitcoin as a currency or as a payment system, and so I think one of the best ways for Bitcoin to get promoted as such is to encourage or suggest that your friends' business, may it be an online store or a physical restaurant or a tattoo shop or a street food cart, to accept Bitcoin as a payment option. Or if possible a sign that says "Prefers Bitcoin payment" or "Offers discount to Bitcoin payment."

Superb! I normally consider the best sign for such an idea to be "We accept Bitcoin". This reply just made me realize better signs. Like the "Prefers Bitcoin payment" and "Offers discount to Bitcoin payment."
I never thought of that, and that's why I said that we all have powerful ideas in us. Just like you've demonstrated with your idea.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 10:38:56 AM
Yeah, he surely got something in making animations, I guess this is a great start in promoting Bitcoin and I think we can all do this in a simple and even with complicated ways as well, I think the ideas are simple inside of each and every one of us but the courage in doing it is the one I think lack the most and in my opinion, writing an article may surely be informative and I think spreading it is simple enough because of technology and I guess the most common application that people are using right now is Youtube you have done a great thing in getting a go in uploading it first hand on youtube.

I'm really pleased to see that you consider writing an article in other to promote bitcoin to be cool. If that is what you can do, do it. There's nothing greater than voluntarily doing something with the best of your ability.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 10:36:36 AM
That is a great video and also in that way it can help to promote Bitcoin. Let me innumerate it here the list of what are those ways to promote Bitcoin that stated in your video.

  • Personal conversations through friends, colleagues, siblings and etc.
  • Holding/conducting a seminar
  • Writing articles such as blogs
  • Making memes, stickers and giphy
  • Making Videos

Yes, there are a lot of ways to promote Bitcoin but it doesn't mean they will easily learn with it. It will probably take time for them to understand very well how Bitcoin works. Explaining to people about Bitcoin without technical knowledge to understand how it will work is not easy for them to absorb in their minds.

Everything needs a step. Just like they say; a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Start with the basics and with time, the complicated part would be made simple.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 10:34:20 AM
Well, I cannot even create that kind of animation.  Cheesy
Good one.  Cheesy

My pick is the first one and I have done it so many times.
Just inserting the bitcoin talk out of nowhere. Informal conversations. Mostly, when my friends are having a drink.
Somehow I can make them intrigued about it and they will really listen.
You can see people who are listening and who are not. I mean, those who don't want to be entertained. They will just walk away.

I don't care though, as long as there is at least one who will be left.  Grin
Great job.

This is amazing! While I was reading this an idea came in. Imagine taking about it in a very audible voice so the people on the next table can also here you (whether they like it or not) 😅
