281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 11, 2018, 01:23:29 PM
Quite a long time ago, Stratis was not in the top ten in terms of trading volumes on the marketcap.
I saw that the movement began, some serious news came out or something positive?

PoS coins always have less trading, no miners selling to cover costs, less action for traders.

That's a good point I haven't thought about it yet, but it's true. Does XRP have any ongoing inflation? Looks like that is the only coin with high trading volume although it's not PoW.

XRP is in a class of its own, lots of powerful supporters, but very centralized, and even more manipulated than Bitcoin, which is saying a lot!

also it has an unlimited supply so its even easier to manipulate than bitcoin. I think ripple will still succeed because the banks want it to succeed, but i will not buy a single coin

The unlimited supply issue is very concerning if it is true. The banks will retain a lot of their power for quite some time and projects like XRP will be around for a long time with their backing.

Are there any news about POS terminals, when can we order those?

I have no clue to be honest, but I would like to know will I have an option to get one too as a normal investor?

I think it would be good if big investors get free POS,since its not that expensive, something around 150 usd.

I think everyone will be allowed to buy POS terminal if they want to.

Is that related to proof of stake? Do you need POS terminal to stake?

A point of sale terminal (POS terminal) is an electronic device used to process card payments at retail locations, do not confuse it with Proof Of Stake(POS) algorithm that Agate will use when their own blockchain goes live.

Ae these points of sale terminals expensive? Are they easy to implement with the infrastructure of business owners?
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes an altcoin valueable? on: November 09, 2018, 09:49:52 AM
If one creates an altcoin today, what are the 3 most important factors that would make it valuable? Or 3 activities that would do so?

Team  - Project - Investors
Team is very important because you know team can do everything about that project.
Project is very important because that must be good one. And the project must be promising.
Investors i think the most important thing because i believe investors more than everything.
They are playing the prices they can provide exchange listing to coins. They are helping to coins about their roadmap and other important things.
So you need to look that 3 thing.

I agree with you except for the "investor" part. You don't know who the investors are and you don't know what their terms were. The last point is very important because if they get extremely favorable prices they can dump at the day a coin goes to market.
the coins will be worth when it has a high value and generate more profits. Additionally with Altcoin which is currently experiencing a lot of growth and experience a lot of progress. This will increasingly support Altcoin be precious and generate even more profits.

Most of the tokens don't generate any business profits. Therefore they lack value. There are a few exceptions.

The developers of this project are so experienced and innovative, which is consistently pushing forward the project towards the way of success by achieving their goals.

Can you describe what you mean by consistently pushing forward? Where do you see the progress that impresses you so much?
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes an altcoin valueable? on: November 03, 2018, 12:57:25 PM
Desire to receive it. Understand, if tomorrow the majority wanted to buy stones at$ 100, they would be sold at $ 100. Demand creates supply.

Which is exactly how bubbles are described. Someone goes out there and suggests that something of no value has any value, much like your stone.

This is a great project from a great idea. I appreciate the way the team works. Wish the project a success

So what is it exactly that you appreciate? As far as I see it the team is doing nothing, exactly nothing to make this go forward.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💰 [ANN][ICO][AGT] 💰 AGATE - Paypal for crypto currencies 💰 on: November 03, 2018, 12:53:32 PM
What's the price of 1 agate token?

without any discount is $0.076 USD

PRE-SALES STAGE 1 | 21 AUG 2018 - 31 AUG 2018 | 25% DISCOUNT
PRE-SALES STAGE 2| 1 SEP 2018 - 11 SEP 2018 | 20% DISCOUNT|
PRE-SALES STAGE 3 | 12 SEP 2018 - 22 SEP 2018 | 15% DISCOUNT
PRE-SALES STAGE 4 | 23 SEP 2018 - 3 OCT 2018 | 10% DISCOUNT
PRE-SALES STAGE 5 | 4 OCT 2018 - 14 OCT 2018 | 5% DISCOUNT
**************
PUBLIC SALES | 15 OCT 2018 - 15 NOV 2018 | NO DISCOUNT

Not bad discounts. First come first serve. I hope that will bring in some additional people that were on the sidelines.

we got overwhelming response from crypto community and reached 100,000 telegram member in Agate telegram group and thousands of people registered in our website
https://t.me/agatechain_group

Waw! that is some huge amount of community you have there i must say, it is always good for a project to have the backing of the community which is also brings a huge amount of support and thus prospective investors, because with this number of telegram community and if 90% support this project by contributing during the sale period, then certainly this project will sell out in no time i believe, 100,000 tele members is huge Shocked, between pretty good discount too.

You will see that not many of the 100,000 members will engage in an active discussion as they are not all real people in my opinion. Sometimes there are these referral campaigns and out of the sudden the members explode. It's not realistic.

I think same can be said for any telegram group, there are always alot of those that join for airdrop reward.

Yes I am just surprised that nobody gets the idea that most of those telegram registrations might just be fake.

Usually they are, but so are in every other ICO project if you are honest.Thats the way it works in crypto unfortunately.

That is correct, but I think it is the obligation for honest people to let those know who have no idea and think it shows the hype factor of a project.

BlitzCash (was in Stratis Ecosystem) is in Hell now. It was delisted from all exchanges.
We have nothing left but HODL.

Blitz is one of my dark horse tips for 2019, when I stake I always get +20 connections, the top wallets are still holding and never dumped, and Chris Trew made very firm commitments to Blitz investors before Stratis existed that they would be involved in his new project, and I don't think he will abandon Blitz, he's just preoccupied with Stratis since 2016.

Never really heard of Blitz or followed it. Why you think it is poisoned for success? There are so many others trying to do something similar.

Scientific Coin is working strong to build a solid and compliant company structure. Currently, we are defining details to be compliant with USA law

Isn't it to be judged on a case to case basis whether you are compliant with a certain law? I can imagine that some research which is admitted in one country might be prohibited in another.

Hi, at the moment we are dealing with security laws.
What you are talking about is a little bit different: our crowdfunding platform will be based in Switzerland and we will need to comply with their law too. Any project will have to compile a survey and we could check it.

You mean security laws in terms of the tokens you distribute? Do you have security characteristics implemented in your token?
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡️⚡️ SKYNET 🚀 Infinity Chain Blockchain + First Blockchain Chip ⚡️⚡️ on: November 01, 2018, 03:49:21 PM
Talking about data is talking about the security of the data owner ... is SKYNET really ready to guarantee the security of the data?

What do you expect them to answer now? Of course they think they are able to handle it, but companies like Facebook thought the same. And yet they fail. You can claim a lot, but you owe proof and that's only possible to do over time.

Very strange company. My documents for passing KYC were rejected with the wording: "Document has signs of tampering."  Grin
In other campaigns, my documents were accepted without any problems.

So if you failed for KYC it is better to submit another document which will help you to verify them. Even for some companies my documents were rejected and after submitting clear visual now my ID verification are getting ver

Then maybe the other campaign managers should again check for "signs of tampering" Tongue
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN)(Quick)⚡️⚡️[Digital Mining Innovation]⚡️⚡️ on: October 28, 2018, 11:22:12 PM
Most even not it is important. Developers have to show the honesty and justice and if the project isn't able to gain the necessary sum, then means have to be returned back to investors.
I'm not a ICO expert but I have seen that the project looks having a unique potential as we can see here there are a lot of people want to support the project.
Based in the previous updates the project is currently doing very well as of now. I hope this will be a good idea to wait when will be the good time for the project success. Quit a long wait indeed but its it's worthy.
Look at the whtiepapers quick had an estimation which can handle 29 bitcoins per day accordingly the experts with the project are highly experienced to handle the operations.

What exactly is number of 29 bitcoins referring to? Some sort of transactional volume or what is the idea behind that?
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 150 ETH OR 9.5 BTC? on: October 28, 2018, 08:46:53 PM
I think eth is still better than bitcoin and I think they bring more money in the future with investments than bitcoin!

They maybe two totally different systems in 10 years from now and both maybe needed. One for general computation purposes and the other as a store of value.

It is because they are running a scam. They have no business asking for KYC. They not a government institute nor a bank. People need to actually learn the law. Now they have all your info. Who are they? Has their team passed KYC? If anyone should be passing KYC it should be the people who run the ICO. We need to know who they are first. If they don't do KYC they hide.

In order to be compliant with the anti-money laundering laws, you have to complete KYC (know your client) procedure.

Really!? Compliant with AML laws?? Exactly which law are you referring?

How exactly does one launder money doing a bounty? You work and earn tokens so how do you launder that way? Do you guys even know what money laundry is? There is no law in any country that says you need our personal info to pay us for work since we not giving you money.

KYC is also uncomfortable because in the end some of the projects aren't serious themselves and you just hand over tons of data to them.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡️⚡️ SKYNET 🚀 Infinity Chain Blockchain + First Blockchain Chip ⚡️⚡️ on: October 28, 2018, 08:44:41 PM
It can be seen right away that the team is very strong, experienced and well-versed in the business, because they created a modern, necessary and rather ambitious project.

It is a very ambitious project that doesn't fall short of big goals at all. That's how many projects position themselves right now, and only few of them will realize the vision.

all in stratis now because best platform even better than eth because it is very difficult to get microsoft on board. Expecting massivelly up from here to top 10.

It required x10 market cap to achieve this goal but I don't have good hope in current this could reach there. I hope soon it will get its place among top 25 markets which looking within reach of this project.
With latest Microsoft partnership announcement, It can easily go to top 10 because there will be more adoption and C language is most popular programming language.

There have been many many partnership announcements with big companies throughout the whole crypto space and they haven't really had much of an impact on the prices recently.

The idea of building a mining farm using renewable energy sources is very interesting to me. Yes, it is a good opportunity for investors to think about investing.

Yes, there are big problems of large energy consumption of mining farms, so the use of renewable energy sources should cover the need and reduce the load from the main networks.

Some might still consider it a waste as the renewable energy could also have been used to power electricity for normal households.

Having a specially designed renewable power plant will make it possible to achieve lower costs and energy production costs and utilization, as an added benefit of this project that sells energy to the national network

If it turns out that the world definitely needs a proof of work based global currency then yes, the electricity is probably worth it, but a lot of people will have trouble understanding that. In the eyes of many it is a waste of energy.
